Beautiful and fragrant floral arrangement

My fiance bought me the most beautiful and fragrant floral arrangement for Valentine's Day from Gwen Marie, and we're so impressed that a week and a half later the flowers still look amazing and it still smells amazing in our living room!!! Seriously unbeatable quality. I have also purchased a custom candle from them in person, and I had a great time browsing the shop and visiting with the owner, who is so sweet! I make candles myself so I am a bit of a candle snob lol, and these ones are absolutely top quality, made with great essential oils! This place is such a hidden gem, I would strongly recommend stopping by for gifts, or to treat yourself! :)

unbelievable service!! where do I start? I called looking for a last-minute bouquet delivery on Saturday evening for a close friend who lost a love one and being that it was Labor Day weekend not one business would do the delivery and I called over 20 ( maybe more) businesses! In both Ventura and Ojai -when I called Gwen not only did she agree to do it, but she put together the most beautiful arrangement, and was so professional! I would totally recommend this company to any of my friends, family, or anyone who wants a gorgeous arrangement! Thank you so much for helping me out in a stressful time he really went above and beyond!

This place is so cute! Such a cool idea, you get to create your own custom scent and they hand pour candles for you! High quality ingredients, great selection of "vessels", skin care grade oils, soy based candles that burn for hours! Even when they are not burning the candle I made fills my room with a lovely scent. They also have fresh flowers, jewelry and other gifts. Definitely worth a stop!

It's the kind of shop that immediately makes you want to slow down, browse, and take everything in. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which makes the entire experience even better. There are so many wonderful products to discover, and the whole shop has such a charming and inviting feel. If you're in Ventura, The Refill Shoppe is definitely worth a visit. Such a lovely local business and a place I'll happily visit again!

I noticed that the shop moved out of downtown Main Street and moved to Mid-town. The new address is 1727 E Main St. 93001. I was running low on my shampoo bar and conditioner but decided to go back to liquid; and what better way than to not waste plastic bottles of product each year by doing the refill method. I walked into the shop today and was greeted by Orianna. She was extremely helpful. I had told her it was my first visit and that I didn't have bottles of my own. She guided me to the bottles and explained how it works. I chose my bottles and then chose my scent which was Vanilla and Lavender. I also bought a linen spray that was matched to my current laundry scent of Lavender & Bergamot. I also got a face soap bar that I like to keep in the shower to wash my face at the end of the work day. I love how you can customize your favorite scents and I look forward to exploring more scents in the future. I feel the prices are very reasonable. They have a ton of products available besides shampoo and conditioner. There were other beauty products and laundry care items too. Definitely a must check out!

I've never really worn or been into makeup much. If I'm going out somewhere fancy or want to do…read moresomething to my face, I usually slap on blush and apply it so it's super round on my cheeks, and I look like a clown. Clear or pink lip gloss typically gets applied and disappears within the hour after I eat or drink something, or sometimes I absentmindedly lick it off. Thinking about it, I realized I wanted someone to help me try out makeup and see if I could add new products to my sad-looking bag of makeup that comprises products way too old that should probably never touch my skin again. Looking at the Sephora website, I saw a beauty lesson class and made an appointment at the Sephora near me (this one is in the Ventura Mall). There, I met Jasmin, who took me through a 75-minute lesson. She asked me what I usually did with my face and what I wanted to do with my face. Because I wasn't interested in doing the whole 10 yards of foundation, blush, concealer, eyeliner, mascara, etc, etc, etc, I just asked for something simple I could do when I wanted to dress up. Did you know there are tons of makeup, glossy, matte, etc. There are tons of decisions to make! Jasmin helped me make these decisions, and Jasmin would expertly apply these products to one side of my face. On the other side of my face, I'd shakily tried to replicate what she did with the products I like. I looked like Harvey Dent's two-faced at the end of the lesson (Jasmin's expertly applied makeup on one side of my face vs my Pablo Picasso side). The lesson cost $75 for 75 minutes (gratuity extra), and I didn't feel pressured to buy any of the makeup we used, although I bought some. I highly recommend the lesson, even if you're a beginner to makeup or advanced and want to improve your skills. Jasmin was super patient, professional, and friendly with me. She helped me decide between the thousands of makeup choices they have, so I was only experimenting with makeup I thought looked good and wanted to try. Later that night, I applied my makeup and was pleased with the results.. As my husband said when he saw me dressed up and my makeup face, "Not bad at all." Swoon.

Later, when I was ready to check out, I stood in line and listened to how the employees at the counter were speaking to other customers. It seemed like that same tone was being used with everyone. Sephora carries great brands that you can't always find elsewhere hence they're pricier. The store is pricier and classier than Ulta so I was a bit surprised by the overall customer service experience. It wasn't terrible, just not quite what I expected from a store like that.
