G V construction Services - they just remodeled my Bathroom. Fantastic job, very detailed and they are perfectionists. They are extremely detailed and spent a lot time making sure every detail was done right. They always showed up on time and stayed late until their job was done. They worked clean , laying down floor protection and plastic protector to make sure dust and dirt didn't get to other parts of the house. They cleaned up after themselves daily. The entire bathroom down to the studs and the finished job was outstanding. Pricing was extremely reasonable and fair. read more

Professional, listens to your needs, very experienced in the trade. Reasonable pricing. Did an ADU for us.

Professional, and dependable service provider. Well worth contacting for estimates and potential remodeling, full, and smaller builds.

Guy is a master of his craft. He was originally hired to perform a relatively small renovation of our home, however, the project metamorphosized into something much larger, and Guy stayed with us and worked diligently for the entirety of the project, until it was completed. I highly recommend his services to all in need of a contractor. read more

Guy's (GV Construction) 25+ years of experience in construction gives him the unique ability to understand all the nuances of building and renovation projects big and small. I've used him for anything from delicately cutting a vintage steel gate off of a historical building, to consulting on rearranging load-bearing walls in a kitchen, to providing the most competent and thorough estimate/bid following property damage. He's easy to speak with, listens attentively, understands the ins and outs, always top-notch giving 110% and a perfect gentleman . For our portfolio of rental properties and the headaches that come with them, GV is always top of mind and we are lucky to have him on our team. read more

Guy did a bathroom remodel for my mom. He and his crew were excellent. They provided collaborations at every decision answering all questions and providing great suggestions to enhance the outcome. Highly recommend GV Construction read more

Quick, affordable, kind. Guy and his guys came in and fixed the mold in my ceiling, and I couldn't have been more thrilled with them. They did a 20k job for under 10k in half the time and to did a better job than most of the other companies I talked to. There was even an issue where even some minor cosmetic things I reported to him after the job closed and he had his guys back and fixed them at no extra charge. Couldn't recommend him more. read more

Had a great experience with GV Construction services to repair some ceiling cracks in my house. I contacted Guy through Yelp, and he was always extremely responsive via e-mail, which for me was very important. Guy would respond at all hours to help get a quote, the job scheduled, and the job completed. It was Anthony and team who actually performed the work, and they did a great job. Very professional guys who took the quality of the work seriously. I've been looking for a reliable general contractor for a while, since the last person I used seemed to have disappeared. The prices of GV Construction were reasonable, and the quote was accurate for the amount of time spent. I also appreciate that the team works weekends and late in the evening if needed. For me, it works much better for my schedule. Thanks all! read more

I was referred to Guy by a highly regarded real estate professional to repair damage done to our property by residential construction next door. The repairs were primarily water-related and complicated. After four months of intense effort, I can say unhesitatingly that he is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with--and I've worked with a lot of them! He was always thoughtful, clear, courteous, very knowledgeable, and on track. His crew was first rate--highly skilled, friendly, well disciplined. He kept to deadlines and kept me informed at every step. He bid the job competitively and while his wasn't the lowest bid, it was close to the lowest bid. His strong reputation tipped the balance, and not once have I regretted having him do the work. Give him a look; you'll be very glad you did! read more

Guy was recommended to me by my realtor. I purchased an apartment building that was renovated. Unfortunately, all the works were done without permit. Big and expensive lesson for me. Guy and his crew did a good job making sure that everything was up to code. He met several times with the various inspectors and we are close to getting everything permitted. He is also extremely responsive with my questions...via phone or text, day or night! read more

Guy Varcados did an amazing job building us a deck for our yard. He runs the most professional construction company ever. He's very loyal, punctual, and honest. His employees are very trustworthy and we always felt comfortable having them at the house. I highly recommend him for all of your future construction needs. Hiring him will put you at ease and make your life better. read more

GOOD AND HONEST!!! I had to write a review on GV Construction services. Not only was the job quote competitive but it never changed after the job completion. They did an excellent mosaic tile, concrete and lighting on my home. The job was completed ahead of schedule. read more

They need a lot of information to provide a basic quote for popcorn removal..... plus I have a "condensenting" (really condescending) tone when I say removing popcorn is not rocket science? It really isn't rocket science.... Providing a customer of a ballpark estimate to budget for a rehab of a property, that I have owned for 30 years (not flipping) is impossible without all the information below? You choose if you want to deal with a guy with Zero customer service skills. At no time should a service company ever address or talk to a customer like this. Not even if he has disdain for a customer. Note from GV construction: "If you knew anything about the science of popcorn removal you would know it "WILL" require a skim coat. And not just one coat either. Why don't you let the scientist determine what is needed instead of your assumptions...and since you ignored half my questions and have a condensenting tone you can call someone else. I will not provide you with an estimate based on your assumptions. I do not provide cost analysis based on a one paragraph negligent description. If you cannot fully describe the existing conditions and the desired finish colors I cannot provide you with a cost. I don't like wasting my time pulling numbers from the air based on "850" sqft. I would have additional questions about the building. That affect my cost which affect your cost. HOA. Requirements if any. Public area protection to and from, interior access or exterior, parking conditions and waste disposal. Is the flooring also being changed. Will the heater be functioning. All these factors contribute to the cost. As does the existing color and new color. I don't have time to write proposals based on size and year built as I would surely have to do the whole thing again once site is visited. Then I will hear how sticker shocked you are after a price has been adjusted for all the new data acquired from the site visit How does 6700 sound? We are not a house flipping outfit. We do quality work with quality materials. With experienced technicians capable of handling any aspect of the construction industry wether residential, commercial, industrial or institutional. I stopped building rockets when I was a kid so that I could build bigger and better things.... Thank you and good luck with your "Endeavor" Thank you for the lengthy explanation.. the project was bid and completed perfectly by T&B drywall for $1500. Great experience with GV Construction. My go-to contractor was on vacation and I needed someone who was reliable QUICK for a commercial project in Beverly Hills. I had to cancel morning of due to last minute insurance issues--Guy totally understood, didn't charge a fee and came back a few days later and did an amazing job. Great and fast communication, quick turnaround and hard workers with clean hands. I didn't have to worry about dirty finger prints all over everything after they were done working in the space. Highly recommend. read more

It took three days to get an estimate three times higher than anybody else. Then he keeps texting me, telling me how great he is, how successful he is, blah -blah-blah. I finally told him, ''Leave me alone. You're trying to argue with a customer who just rejected you.'' read more

I couldn't THANK Guy and his terrific team more! I'm beyond clueless when it comes to fixing things around the house. These guys came to my rescue; quick, professional, knowledgable and took their time. 150% recommend them!! read more

We used Guy and CV Construction services here at work in Santa Monica. We were referred to Guy through our landlord. They have been amazing for some ongoing issues we have had in our work space. They have helped us determine and fix some leaks that everyone else had missed and worked on the space interior as well with painting and reconstruction of damaged areas. We will only use them now. Guy and his 'guys', we are all timely, professional, clean and knew their stuff! Thanks from all of NFO. read more

Guy and his team are reliable, honest, and professionial. I highly recommend GV Construction. Make them your first stop.

Fair, friendly and experienced. Came in and spent a lot of time with us going over our renovation and the different options we had. His team is hard working and pay attention to detail. Guy even came in and gave me advice on some DIY work I was doing and saved me a ton of time and $$. We used him for Demo, railing and drywall. So impressed by him we are going to use him for building a bar, kitchen nook and floating a fireplace hearth. read more

I can't say enough about Guy and his crew. Had it not been for GV Construction Services, the buildout of our studio would not have happened by our deadline. Guy is great to work with, true to his word and does top notch construction. Highly recommended! read more

GV construction and its owner, Guy Varcados, was a great experience. Guy is easy to work with, an effective communicator, and takes all forms of payment. I had a large hole in my drywall put there by my dog with separation anxiety. GV construction gave me a quote for the work based off of a photo and my description of the problem. It was the cheapest quote I received among 4 different Yelp handyman. He also recommended the use of wood instead of drywall so my dog doesn't make the hole again. I had a lockbox/keybox at my apartment because I work long hours. GV construction came in and repaired my wall in less than a day. I never even saw Guy or his GV crew! Quote by email. Coordinated logistics and admin via text. Made payment by Venmo! the job looks great. It still needs painting, and I will have GV do that too, but I wanted to give it a few days to see if the dog scratches at it first. I will definitely use GV for any work I need in the future. read more

I so appreciate Guy and GV Construction. Guy has always responded promptly, explained everything, done an excellent job and coordinated with my tenants. If it weren't for him and his company I wouldn't be able to manage a rental propert so far away. I only wish I had a contractor like GV Construction in the Bay Area. read more
