Fall 2025 - agreed on a price to replace a motor and install gable fan. Bob then failed to respond to subsequent inquiries to set up an installation date. As by now late fall due to his failure to respond, figured just wait until spring. May 2026 - sent e-mail, text and left three messages asking him even if he did not want to complete the project to please let me know so I could obtain services elsewhere. He to date has failed to respond. Found an air conditioning service in Yucaipa who will perform the project, and yes, less expensive than Bob. Used Bob to install a whole house fan just under 5 years ago. Fan stopped working so I tried to call, email and went to his physical address. Well guess what, the address is a mail drop, not a shop or store, he will not return calls left on his voice mail and finally, he will not return messages. Requested quote for whole house fan installation. Robert Hancock called me right away. I discussed that I would like a quote for a QuietCool 4.6 CFM and (2) door vents. Robert quoted $1990.00 installed. I booked him for today 5/2/2022 at 8am. Bob called me at 8pm last night (12hrs prior to install) to let me know that he was not able to honor his quote. The only way was to either pay $250 more or install a different unit. I explained to him that I scrapped the money together and I only had $2k to spend for the project. His answer was to pay up or get a less quality unit. He just kept texting over and over until I told him I wasn't paying more and if he could not meet his quote I would cancel. We just had our Quiet Cool whole house fan installed a couple of days ago. Best investment I've made made. I used it for the first time last night. It cooled my house in about 40 mins. It is great and quiet, I had to turn it off after 55 minutes because the house got to cold. It makes the same noise as my air conditioner. I had a large local HVAC company give me a quote for a Quiet Cool fan before I found Bob. His price was substantially less. Not only did I get a great price, I got Bob. He is very conscientious when it comes to his work and his clean up. He made recommendations to install more venting to get the fans the most airflow possible. I found Bob here on Yelp...I was pretty sure we would benefit from a whole house fan, we're just like everyone else in the I.E., super hot house at night and no breeze so we try to position box fans in every possible configuration to cool the house which doesn't really work. The technology has changed alot from the old 'turboprop' fan that shakes the house apart. My wife is a light sleeper and I was worried about the sound factor but she sleeps right thru. I bought the 3 speed stealth pro 4.8. We never need it on higher than low at night. So on to Bob...he answered promptly and said he could quote me over the phone, but I preferred to meet him in person. He came out the next day, answered every question, required no deposit and booked me two weeks out. He's a one man operation and the installation took almost 12 hours, but he did need to add a Gable vent and do some patch work which came out great. I called Bob in 2 occasions. The first was to get a quote and information. I spoke only with Bob each time. He answered the phone each time professionally and promptly. I gained a lot of good information from him on the first call. A few months later i finally was able to order my while house fan. I was set on certain qualities for a fan and Bob confirmed which fan was right for me. There was never a sales pitch. The quote and work order was very transparent and competitive. Bob's staff showed up on time to start installation and Bob showed up to install some addition ventilation required. The installation was quick, clean and professional. The additional ventilation matched the existing structure really well.
