I've been a BIG fan of Guy's since they were recommended to me by one of my clients. LOVE their subs. But I have to say this; the wonderful lady that worked there that was consistent, fast, efficient and really knew her stuff when it putting a sub, sandwich or anything served together isn't there anymore so you best check your sandwich to make sure it's as expected before leaving the shop since, as with many businesses since the c'vid mess, they often have a less than stellar employee working. If whatever they give you is not to your satisfaction just give it back and tell them to try again. I must forgive them for any recent shortcomings since they have been just so good 99.5% of the time. Also have to recommend their chili, it's delicious. read more

Every time I travel thousands of miles to NY, I have to visit Guy's Subs simply because they have the number one sandwiches in the world. Any chain like Subway does not even come close to even the breadcrumbs on the floor of Guy's! This place has been in the business of making amazing subs for decades. I recommend the steak and cheese and the roast beef sub. I see some people complaining about the prices and have to say only one thing: it is worth it! Extremely disappointed in our subs tonight. Ordered large chicken finger sub Witt tomato and lettuce and onion was added incorrectly. I also ordered 2 large turkey melts that come with double meat- because we don't get any veggies and both subs came with 3 piecses of Turkey on each half. Pretty much ate a bunch of bread. I love 15 minutes away and when I called in the manager said the preparer said he put double meat that he can check inventory and didn't offer me anything! I also sent a comment directly to guys subs off their website page and it's been 4 days without a single response. They can charge $40 for dinner but when it's alll wrong no one cares. Went to Guys today and received the rudest service I have ever seen from a restaurant. My sub was made with extra toppings that I did not order. Instead of making a new sub they took my old sub back to the kitchen and scraped the ingredients off. When I asked for a refund they refused , I left with no subs and they kept my $20 . This was the 1st time we ordered subs from Guy's and they were very good! I had tried calling for a good 10 mins so I could place the order ahead of time but the line just constantly rang busy. So I had to wait about15 minutes for them to make the subs which wasn't that bad. I had a 1/2 turkey with lettuce, cheese, miracle whip and mustard and there was just enough of everything on the sub! So sad. I've been coming here for 30 years now, and the last experience is the end. The subs here have never been huge or overstuffed, but I've always found them to be hearty enough with a delicious oil and mayo and of course the amazing Costanzo's rolls. I order extra meat and typically its perfect, matter of fact the best subs I've ever had. Lately its gone way downhill, an extra meat ham sub netted me exactly 4 half pieces of the cheapest ham money could buy. Oil and mayo? down to a thin smear. even the roll seems to have shrunk. Sadly, none of this seems to be in the name of saving the customer money, as 2 basic subs (one of which was ordered with extra meat) came to a whooping $19.86. I would LOVE to get a reply on this, and am more than willing to try again, even edit or remove this review if what I've been experiencing is nothing but aberrations or if we can get a commitment to return to the quality that brought all the customers in the first place. read more

I just ordered subs from here and I was thoroughly impressed! Like a previous reviewer mentioned the rolls were soft and warm and subs were made to order. I got the chicken parm melt and it was delicious and my bf really enjoyed his bacon turkey club. I thought the servings sizes were great but if you're used to the giant grocery store size you may be a little disappointed - but honestly the quality is worth it just order two and you won't be disappointed. read more

I visited these place with my family and was really looking forward to a good sandwich. We walked in and the menu was a little confusing so we asked the older woman who was taking the order between a hot sausage sub and a sausage melt. She said well one is a melt and the other is a sub ( both are on a sub roll) but the sub comes with lettuce and tomatoes where a melt doesn't but costed more cause its 2x the meat. She was really nasty with her attitude and not welcoming at all. She would yell out customers names over and over until they picked it up not even giving the person a chance to get over to the counter to get their order. We waited over 15 min for a Italian sausage melt that had 1.5 slices of breakfast sausage patties (gross) and a slice of cheese. It was $9 and it tasted horrible. This place is over priced for the size and amount of meat you get. The cook saw us get up and leave and asked why we weren't happy and all he could offer was to add lettuce and tomato which it wasn't going to help the sausage patties and lack of seasonings. What a horrible experience it was and the customer service was not good at all. read more
