    Big Breakfast Burrito w/Bacon Close-Up $19.50 (01/16/23). #GuyFierisHighballLounge @GuyFieri #Burbank @Fly_BUR #Breakfast
    Jeff B.

(Dined 01/16/2023 MO @ 6:15am): Sorry Guy, no highball for me at your airport lounge; but, I will have a beer! I had an early morning flight out of Hollywood Burbank Airport BUR (formerly Bob Hope Airport until 2017) for a work event, when I finally decided to try Guy's Highball Lounge. Normally, I wasn't a breakfast person nor an early eater, but I was down for a beer which then led to ordering breakfast. Guy Fieri's empire has stretched across the globe, so it made sense that airport terminals would be the next place to go. As of this review, there only appears to be two locations of this particular brand (the other in Puerto Vallarta International Airport). Would I experience some of Guy's flavortown at this lounge which served more than highballs!? PURCHASE Goose Island Beer Co. Goose IPA Beer 5.9% ABV 16floz Draft ($14.75): Bright amber color, hoppy aroma, light body, slight fruity hoppy flavor, smooth finish, and light hoppy aftertaste. One of my favorite beers and apparently airport restaurants, too! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=2xjUjmqsEKbP7AGOcWOxuA Big Breakfast Burrito w/Bacon ($19.50): A hearty two-hander made with scrambled eggs, breakfast tots, peppers, onions, bacon, pico de gallo, avocado, cheddar cheese, and sour cream all barely held together in a soft flour tortilla, I watched everything get made from scratch as it was all fresh, steaming, and downright a beast to eat. I was honestly down for the count after I devoured this. Sure, it was the customary expensive airport pricing, but damn it was huge and tasty! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=apC1T4fm0M6Ol-DY_sWZXA SERVICE I was warmly greeted by a middle-aged woman who immediately took my order, provided my beer, and about 10 minutes later my burrito arrived (I was bored and watched the kitchen staff prepare it). Everything was straightforward and efficient - thank you! PARKING (Varied; N/A this instance) I was traveling through and had no need to park. However, the airport offered onsite parking structures with varied rates that started as low as $3.00 depending on your selected option. Because this was located within Terminal A of departing flights after security, you had to already be an outgoing or incoming passenger to even get here, so parking would be a moot point. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A basic tiny eatery with a decent-sized bar eating area and several communal high tables and chairs, in addition to a view into the kitchen. There was barely any natural lighting that made its way from the nearby large windows, but there were plenty of electric ceiling lights that filled in the rest. There were several TVs https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=slFG9LVdb1O96EzhrSu14A and no background music. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=4-HIzcqT9C63U-ExMQo0IA ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Guy's Highball Lounge filled my desire for a beer and eventually for my impulse for food. Obviously, the prices were airport-high, but the burrito was surprisingly good both in flavor and portion, so the hit to the wallet was slightly cushioned. The breakfast menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=q6urwrjlc4rpgwBIH93-Rw and drinks menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&select=_vCqFEF_O2qlVC3wZ-Si9g were limited but varied enough. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $38.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Stop by and grab a beer, cocktail or wine while you wait for your flight. The bar is located next to the restaurant so food items are also available, This is one of 2 shops in Terminal B that you can sit and enjoy your food and beverage. Barstool seating and a flatscreens. Usually there is 1 bartender on shift at a time, service time is fairly quick, even with a crowd. The price is on the high side but good customer service.

    Morgan's veggie burger (no tomatoes)
    Tan P.

This is a good option in Burbank Airport if you want fresh burgers before your flight. The food is made quickly and has good quality ingredients. I tried the veggie burger because it was a Friday in Lent; I was surprised how good it was. I always prefer beef patties, but for the situation, I can recommend the veggie burger. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. The ambience is okay, not many seating table options. But the bar is a good place to chill before your flight and charge your electronics.

A decent airport lounge to kill some time for boarding. It's very convenient if you have to wait at gate A5. Very friendly and efficient service. Plus my Prosecco that time was so delicious!

Menu Hack - Burger Joint Fries (Loaded) with added burger patty and 2 sunny-side up eggs. Game changer!!?
    Erwin M.

I've been to many airports across the nation and Burbank is by far the easiest and most convenient one bar none. When it comes to food and adult beverages, having the food being freshly cooked is always best when it can be observed from just over the counter. When it comes to Guy's Highball Lounge / Burger Joint, this place hits all my high notes that surpasses most airport eateries. The Highball Lounge has a great selection of high-end spirits. Not many (if any) airport bars will carry: Pappy Van Winkle, Wellers, Blanton's, MacCallan 18, JW Blue Label, and others. That vast array of choices alone sets this drinking well apart from all others. There are multiple HDTVs to satisfy any sports fan who wants to watch their team prior to their flight. There are charging stations under the bar to keep your phone battery ready for travel. Food can be ordered from the Burger Joint right next door. I've ordered many burgers/sandwiches from here over the years but I've recently created a custom order that fulfills my burger needs; food hack. Burger Joint Fries (loaded) with added burger patty and 2 sunny-side up eggs. This is the perfect barfood meal with protein and fried goodness; it will leave you well filled until you arrive to your travel destination. Are the prices here a little high? Of course they are; you're at an airport without many options to eat. But when you do order your meal/drink, you are well assured that the food will come out hot/fresh, well-seasoned, and the drinks will be poured just heavy enough to keep you in a spirited mood before your flight. And after all, isn't that the way we all want to start our trips?

    Chicken Avocado BLT
    Jason H.

Outstanding Chicken Avocado BLT sando! Huge! Plenty of avocado and fixin's! Fresh brioche bun! Fries were fresh and crispy, too -- a la carte, BTW. Pair it all with a large Mango Cart and there's no better way to kill time waiting for a flight at Bob Hope Burbank Airport, near SWA Gate A3 (?) Peppy, efficient service, as well! A couple of large tv's with a game on, too. Bar and small table seating available.

    Breakfast Sandwich w/Tater tots- $19.50
    Greg T.

We were in Hollywood Burbank Airport on our way to Phoenix. I hadn't had time for breakfast, so we were looking for someplace to grab a bite after security...and you know how that goes, expensive and so so food, usually. We ended up at Guy Burger Joint, aka Guy's High Ball Lounge. Don't be put off by the prices, they're pretty much airport normal....but the food is spectacular! My breakfast sandwich was huge, the egg, cheese, and bacon literally unable to be contained by the soft brioche bun. It came with a large portion of perfect Tater Tots. I couldn't eat it all. This meal could easily be split between 2 travelers. There are comfortable low tops and high tops for eating at. Plentiful and varied condiments are easily found around the bar and tables.

To my surprise, DeLuxe is rather classy with decent food and fantastic service. Our waiter was constantly checking on our table, bringing us food and drinks as we needed or requested, clearing and replacing plates and silverware, and even serving us when we were fully capable of doing so ourselves. The place (including bathrooms) was clean, modern, and in good shape. As for the main event - the food - there are just so many plates on your table you won't even realize what you forgot to eat or try. The "good" on our list included all the kebabs, the fish was amazing, chicken salad was surprisingly good but also surprised to be there at all; the mutabbal wasn't half bad; olive "salad" was amazing but spicy; fatoush was okay, baked mushrooms with cheese were delicious, and the licorice green drink soda something was refreshing. However, there were some downsides to the food as well. The sarma, boreg, and fatayer were just embarassing and tasted bad/bland. The bread was stale and dry, the muhammra was a joke to Syrians and the shrimp was just a wast to be there. Overall, a pretty good location!

It takes place mostly in their rear patio area and parking lot, but a good number of vendors were also in an adjacent air conditioned event room. They have a very small parking lot, but it was occupied by vendors during this event. Do not park in the parking lots of the adjacent businesses, as we were warned when entering the Tonga Hut that cars get towed regularly. There's plenty of street parking in the nearby neighborhood. Entering from the rear, there is a good sized covered patio with around eight benches. We went inside to check it out and grab a drink. The interior is fairly small with four good sized booths, a lounge area with a large J-shaped couch with several small tables, and around ten seats at the bar. It is dimly lit with some basic tiki décor, and has an old-school feel. They had a fixed cocktail menu for this event which is understandable. We stood in line at the bar for about ten minutes, got our drinks and went out to the patio. The bartender was friendly, and didn't seem flustered by the high volume of patrons. I had the Horned Beast O' The Celtic Sea (Oceanus Hibernicus Irish Malt, Jamacian Rum, House Made Falernum & Orgeat, Peach, Citrus, Dash of Cherry Heering, $13). She had the Leprechaun Grog (Three Rums, Lime, Grapefruit, Honey, Spice, Soda, $14). Both drinks were good, were served in souvenir plastic cups, and were a bargain at $13 to $14. If you ordered a drink containing Oceanus whiskey, the bartender gave you a gold coin and you could exchange it with the Oceanus representative on the patio for a free T-shirt. Durango Tacos was setup near the rear entrance for food. We had four tacos (two carne asada and two veggie), and they were good and reasonably priced. This was the first tiki marketplace we have attended. There were around twenty vendors with a good assortment of art work, tiki mugs, tiki clothing, tiki décor, and other miscellaneous items. I purchased a few nice tiki shirts which were a steal at $20 and $25. The vendors and visitors were all very friendly and in a festive mood. We hung out for about ninety minutes and had a good time. We will return at some point to try their regular cocktail menu and see what it's like on a non-event night.
