Studio Bar is located opposite of Gate A3 in Burbank airport. It has several Big screen TV's. The menu is very simple and what caught my eye was the American Kobe Cheeseburger. The burger was excellent. The patty was cooked perfectly and not over worked. Cheese was melted and the baby lettuce greens was good. The burger itself was a bit small for the $21 price tag hence the 4 star rating. Full bar with good selection of beers and wine. The TV's had lots of sports. To eat, I ordered the bbq chicken pizza (without onions). For airport food, I thought it was great. Definitely filling. I would not hesitate to order it again next time. Out of everything that this airport has to offer I'd say this is the best option. Plenty of tables but there's not enough room when the airport gets busy. Stopped by here for a light snack before my flight this evening. You can scan the QR code on the table. The waitress will come over to take your order. The waitress was friendly and she remembered our orders without writing it down. I got Studio Nachos with steak and no cilantro and beer. You're at Burbank airport. You need to sit down and work. There aren't a lot of options. So you have to sit down and order a drink... so my story is... I was forced to do it. I had no other choice... The Bloody Mary is $15 and not fantastic but it'll get you through. The food is all microwave cookery. I ordered the croissant with bacon/eggs/cheese and the eggs seemed to be of the fake variety but hey - it was still technically morning and I was really just ordering that to justify the decent Bloody Mary. $32 for breakfast but worth it because while Burbank airport has many benefits workspace is NOT one of them. They haven't upgraded to workstations like other airports... so if you want to get some actual work done on a laptop - come here and get yourself a cocktail and do that Google Doc thing. This review is just based on the bartender who was working yesterday afternoon. I sat down to kill some time before my flight and charge my phone a bit. It wasn't super busy I asked for a glass of water which he provided. But he straight out told me I had to order at least 1 item to be seated at the bar. I tip even if I get just a glass of water, but I've never had anyone tell me I have to order something to sit at a bar. read more

About a couple of months ago I was waiting for a flight to San Jose to see my daughter. I stopped in at Studio Bar for some breakfast and to watch whatever game they had on at the time. The restaurant itself seems fun and lively. I ordered the mimosa and egg breakfast sandwich, the sandwich could have used a bit of season otherwise it's basically your typical breakfast sandwich. This is the remodeled Frescas in Burbank Airport across from Gate A3. As of now, the food menu is the same and, depending on when you come, service is variable. There are limited options in the airport and the many TVs definitely help. The new banquettes and lighting make the place look much better. The traditional tables and chairs haven't been updated, so there is a bit of incongruity, but, again, it's an airport bar. Great service from Monica!! read more

A lot more spacious and separated tables if you don't want to sit directly at the bar. The server was very very nice. Always checked in on me and called everyone "friend". Beware! Ordering a double here means the price is doubled!!! An already overpriced $16 Bloody Mary becomes $32!!!! And they do not tell you! They have been warned by the owner to only tell if asked! A double is always an additional fee, but twice the price is completely unheard of and takes advantage of customary practice and normal expectations! It's a scam done on purpose. read more

What a scam! $55 for two drinks (vodka cran and a beer). The waitress asked if I wanted a double and I said yes expecting it to be like $5 more or something reasonable. Fell out of my chair when presented the bill. When I complained about the price I was directed to a email address to complain. I insisted to speak with someone right now, I was told they would be there in 10 mins, manager failed to show. Next, the general manager then was contacted and refused to address the situation and said they didn't have any authority to do anything. What restaurant manager can't comp or adjust a ticket? I was told the owner would phone to discuss prices sometime. This place prays upon us as consumers on the run by not diisclosing prices up front and confirming that a (double) would be $35 with a patron. The wait for the manager was a plow to blow us off knowing that we were boarding and would be gone by the time they got there. The fact the manager was a no show confirms this and that they had no intention of coming. That, plus the additional fact that the general manager (2nd) can't adjust a ticket even shows more hassle and intent to make it difficult to address this issue. Update: It's now Thursday and I busted on Monday. The owner just phones and told me to f@ck off and deal with it. Bravo to customer service! Stay clear of these crooks! Unacceptable. read more

I get blood Mary's before a flight anytime I can. It's my airport tradition. I usually just go to whichever bar is near my gate. It's never occurred to me to look them up online before hand in case of scammy, bullshit pricing practices. Like other reviewers, I ordered and was asked if I'd like a long pour or double, said long pour, and thought nothing of it. I'm used to spending $10-15 on a drink at an airport. And a few extra dollars for a long pour, would be no big deal. The drink was just ok, and I set my card down for payment without checking the receipt. When they brought back the copy for me to sign for $28, I was stunned. I saw on my receipt that I was charged for a stoli long pour, and when asked about it, they said they only served top shelf and they couldn't do anything about the prices, the manager was "in a meeting and would be 15-20 minutes", same as other reviewers have mentioned. Unless money is of no object to you, DO NOT GO HERE. read more
