My husband found this restaurant on door dash. He wanted to order from there to try the food but I was a little weary because they don't have an actual location to eat in. I thought it might be a scam but thankfully there were confirmed orders on Yelp.my husband ordered a bunch of stuff: Mac and cheese burger, chicken sandwich (for me), fried pickles, French fries, steak and cheese spring rolls, bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. I was surprised how quick the order came to our hotel room-30 min! Food temperature - The food overall Luke warm. Obviously it's going to loose some heat with delivery. Taste - the fried pickles were standard tasting. The dill ranch was very good with it. The chicken sandwich had no taste. I don't know if it was because the chicken was thick but whatever seasoning it was coated in or sauce on the sandwich, there was no flavor. I even added some of the dill ranch to my sandwich and no improvement even though the sauce was very flavorful by itself. My husbands Mac and cheese cheese burger had no flavor besides the bacon. He said the best part was the Mac and cheese which I didn't get any of once he handed me the rest of his burger. The fries were good but would have been amazing fresh. The jalapeño poppers were flavorful along with the spring rolls. Nacho cheese came with the spring rolls and a spicy tasting ketchup. Good selection of sauces. Convenience- My husband wanted extra ranch and there was no way to add that on the door dash app and calling them was ineffective. Could be problematic if an order was incorrect or missing items. Overall - for a restaurant with flavor town in its name there was very little flavor in half our food. Disappointed by that fact. Service was quick but they wouldn't deliver it to the room. 3.5! I literally thought this couldn't be real when I randomly found this on yelp. All of the reviews happened to come about the same time and none of them were from Honolulu. How could this possibly be true, but yet so elaborate? I went online to see if this was a scam and there was a mention that he is doing this ghost kitchen concept in about 23 cities to help the restaurant business through the pandemic. Then, I did see this pop up on food delivery apps (door dash) and then looked up where the ghost kitchen could possibly be - which turned up to be Buca di Beppo in ward. Knowing this made me feel so much better. The downside of this is that it's delivery only - so your food might arrive cold (which it did). I had to reheat some of my sides in the air-fryer. The second downside is that because it's delivery - you have to pay an additional delivery fee and tip so it does come out more than expected. For 2 burgers, 1 appetizer, and 2 fries came out to $50. After delivery fees and tip was about $66 which is a little pricey In my opinion. The delivery came out of post mates when you put in the order through the link on yelp. The delivery person was in a unmarked car but there was this link they send you after you place your order to see the progress (and they were late by 10 mins also). What I ordered was the following- Bourbon wings (award winning) and definitely the star of everything I ordered. It is about $13 for half dozen wings and comes with a side of ranch that had a nice dill taste to it. Fried pickles (6-7$) and was on the spicy side a little. There wasn't much in there and also arrived warm/cold. Fries ($5) had good texture and flavors but was cold! I had to reheat them in the air fryer. Chicken sandwich ($12) was huge and was tasty. I'm sure it would have been awesome if we got it fresh. Mac and cheese burger ($13) was also huge and held up better than the chicken sandwich. When you say "Guy Fieri" and "Flavortown", one expects a delicious voyage and a satisfying meal. Ordering from this place does not define those words at all. Not sure if I took the wrong exit to Flavortown. Jalapeno Pig Poppers: Overcooked. The stuffing was too rich and creamy and the sauce just overpowered the jalapeno. The bacon fell apart before even one bite. Quality of the bacon was subpar. Flavortown Fries: Crispy. Flavor was decent. Real Cheezy Burger: Ordered with bacon. Burger was super greasy and extremely messy to eat. Meat in the burger has no flavor. Donkeysauce seeped into the brioche bun which made the bun super soggy to eat. Quality of the bacon again was subpar and lacked flavor. Bacon Mac N' Cheese Burger: Super soaked, super greasy, and extremely messy to eat. I ordered the chicken parmesan, the cheesecake and the chocolate cake. First of all: delivery was awful! I asked for "contactless delivery".. pre-tipped $7.80 to deliver to my hotel room. The driver "Alan from Doordash" called me from downstairs to pickup the food. I went downstairs and not only did he not even bother to get out of his car, he made me reach inside his vehicle for my food. Seriously? Contactless? Please don't advertise that if you don't offer it. Hawaii is experiencing epic COVID numbers so contactless delivery is obviously important. I contacted Doordash right away because I didn't want to fault Guy's for bad delivery service, but they were less than helpful. Although they saw my order, they wouldn't help and insisted I call the restaurant. So I was excited about the chicken parm.. and first bite was awful. Seriously overcooked. By a lot. Chicken super dry and crunchy. The spaghetti had a sauce with a weird aftertaste with slices of pepperoni and tortilla strips thrown on top for??? Another "ghost kitchen," where the food is prepared by another company (Buca di Beppo) but served under another brand's name (Guy's Flavortown). The food? It's the kind of food that's disgustingly over the top and makes you instantly regret your decision, but in a good way. The menu definitely seems dated: the mid 2000s era of wacky burgers where they pile on all kinds of unnecessary toppings is pretty much over. The cheeseburger topped with macaroni and cheese noodles is an example of this. But it's Guy Fieri, the man of perpetual early 2000s style so what do you expect? Love love loved Guy Fieri's in Vegas the last two times I visited, so we ordered it to our hotel room in Honolulu! We were staying at the Sheraton Honolulu & wanted a nice dinner without having to leave out room because of having to make a reservation somewhere last min! So we orders Uber eats, when the driver got to the hotel he called us saying he couldn't bring it to the room because the hotel wouldn't let him, little did he know the security at the elevators were the ones whom advised us that Uber Eats was the best way to get food without having to leave the hotel. I don't know if this is true or not but one of the reviews said that Guy Fieri hand picked 30 cities to put these pop up restaurants in to help boost the restaurant community economy during the pandemic. When someone requests a specific doneness it should be easy for a properly trained cook to meet those requirements. We were very excited to find this option while visiting Waikiki, especially after hearing about the concept and wanted to support! For a party of 7, we ordered almost $200 in food (2 burgers, wings, 2 fried pickles, salad, Cuban, chicken parm, chicken sandwich (best thing we ordered, even though it was lukewarm). The food arrived an hour and a half after it was due to arrive. After multiple attempts to call to get a status, I finally received a text update. My suggestion would be to please not take orders, if you can't fill it in the time allotted. Or update your system, to let customers know the time frame for delivery. This sets the expectation. Once the food did arrive, we were and extremely frustrated with lukewarm food. In fact, 1 of the burgers was very pink in the middle and inedible for our 12 year old, so we had to cook it in the hotel microwave. (in fact, we had to reheat everything but the salad).
