The place it's cute lots of spots to sit down. The cashier was super nice and friendly. The drive thru was busy but he still got my food out at a decent time and brought it to the table. The chicken strips look good. We always eat with our eyes first. The chicken was fresh hot and tender and has a good flavor. I'm actually really happy with the taste of my food, and service. I will be coming back to bring the kids.

This place is way better than Canes. I don't understand why it isn't more busy. Their Guthrie sauce is super flavorful. I also got the sweet and sassy sauce. That was great also. Their sweet tea was also delicious. Their customer service was on point. The guy that took my order came around the front to bring me my drink and my food. He was very friendly and welcoming. I just think that they need to fry their chicken a bit more. read more

First timer, I'll have to try it again for better judgement. Overall, Food was good, chicken was crispy with a tender inside. I love the crispy chicken w the sauce. (Got 1 Sauce, So maybe next time I'll ask for more) The Side of bread is nice and crispy too. Service was great. Aside from not getting more than one sauce. Service was pretty good although it took about 10 min to get my order. The cashier did apologize... The coleslaw was your typical restaurant coleslaw. I like the small amount of breading on the chicken was good... Abite a little salty. The fries were your basic crinkle fries nothing super special. This was just the definition of midder canes lol. Other than the server being nicer than the canes staff everything was worse. The bread was a normal white bread toast that didn't give character like canes. The coleslaw was mid. The chicken could have been a bit bigger they were very skinny. The sauce was basically cane sauce but slightly worse. The fries were kinda sad as well they were very dry . But the person working there was awesome! read more

Here's the good, in order of the best: 1. The best: the person who took our order and explained the menu and offered their recommendation. Super helpful and patient! I wish that I'd asked their name... took our order at about 3 pm or so, long black hairstyle, "Springy Afro Twist", maybe? Anyway, this person was the best part of our experience. Thank you! 2. Second best: the chicken. We ordered the Original 5-Tender Combo. Service was quick and complete. The chicken tenders were good...not Chick-fil-A delicious, but still good tasting. Now, a couple of recommendations for improvement: 1. The coleslaw was NOT tasty at all... bland and soggy. Spice it up, change the dressing, change the method of prep... something. This alone made the meal a disappointment. 2. The toast included in the combo was unnecessary. If we order the combo again we'll skip the toast and the coleslaw. Sorry for the bland review, but it does describe our experience today at Guthrie's Chicken on Vista. read more

There's absolutely no flavor with this chicken. Go to McDonald's next door, their chicken and fries are definitely better than this garbage. Fries are crinkle cut but mine were slightly overdone. The sauce was just an underwhelming ripoff of Raising Cane's sauce. They even forgot the sauce that I ordered.The one positive I can give is that the girl who serviced me was super friendly. All in all, this experience was awful and I'm never going back to that filth. Hopefully my 10$ goes towards that girls salary. read more

We went to Guthries at a little before 12.noon. We went through the drive thru with no one in front of us, we placed our order and drove up. We waited over 23 minutes at the window and it was so slow that 2 cars behind us left. When the associate finally came up we we asked if they were normally that slow. read more

Me and my family went to lunch today at Guthrie's. Overall great experience. Friendly staff, clean building, food is solid. Prices are a little high but that's what you get for eating out. My only complaint would be that the chicken was just a little salty for me and my wife. We are big salt people too and still thought it was a little too salty... Overall great experience and good food. We will be back! read more

I have come here multiple times on multiple occasions, I enjoy eating the food here it is good. However the tables are often dirty from people previously eating. Music is nice and they have some entertainment, a little bit on the slow side for service, but they offer free refills. read more

Went through 35 minutes before close and sat at the menu while nobody took my order. Their microphones kept turning on and off and would pick up their voices laughing and messing around. Waited for 5 minutes then left with no food. I just wanted some chicken. Their food is good so it was definitely a let down waiting and not getting it. read more

The chicken was good, management has a lot to be desired. They didn't give us a choice for our sauces. I asked what their sauces were then was charged six dollars for those side sauces. Manager kinda got snappy when I asked if it's normal that we don't get to choose what sauces come first and so on. The manager was also wearing shorts in the kitchen, which seems very unsanitary. read more

Not really sure why I stayed other than I was unfamiliar with Boise and didn't want to get stuck waiting somewhere else. In for a penny, in for a pound I guess. I was getting very hangry though. The biscuits. Too much sugar in the recipe. If you like a sweeter biscuit you'll be happy. At the end of the day the line is why I knocked the place to 3 stars. I'd eat here again but not if I had to wait in line and I'd skip the biscuits. Still more I'm willing to try

Another Gem from the Wylder group restaurants located in the Bench subdivision east of Boise…read moredowntown. And yet another amazing spot to have burgers, salads, or even chicken sandos. They offer inside and outside seating. Burgers prices are reasonable and the food is quite tasty and full of flavor. Service was fast and friendly. Enjoy!

We ordered the halibut fish cake for an appetizer. Incredibly tender (not fishy) and crispy on the outside. Delicious! My husband had the sourdough pappardelle which reminded me of the pasta and gravy that my grandfather made (my grandfather was from Sicily, he called it gravy.) It tasted and brought back memories of my childhood. Never have tasted anything this close to what my grandfather made--ever! Kudos to the chef!!! I had the lamb porterhouse. It was very good. We had the Percy potatoes (so good and the perfect crunch) and the sugar snap pea appetizers ( wish the menu would have stated the peas are served cold- my husband loved, but I don't like cold sugar snaps) For our main I had the chicken, mash and asparagus. All 10/10 and you could really taste the smoke of the oven. My husband had the sticky ribs and he said some of the best he's ever had! We finished off our meal with a delicious slice of carrot cake.

From the moment we walked in, you could tell this was a true family-run restaurant. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and our waitress was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and happy to share recommendations for places to check out around Boise. The food was so good that we completely forgot to take pictures before digging in, which honestly says everything. We started with the Caesar salad, which was solid, but the stars of the meal were the entrées. My husband ordered the shrimp Alfredo, and I had the Rosemary Chicken Formaggio. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and homemade. Somehow, it was even better the next day as leftovers. My husband's favorite part of the meal was actually the rosemary focaccia loaf they bring out with oil and vinegar. Simple, but absolutely delicious. If you're visiting Boise and looking for great Italian food, Luciano's is absolutely worth the stop. We'd happily come back the next time we're in town.
