This place is way better than Canes. I don't understand why it isn't more busy. Their Guthrie sauce is super flavorful. I also got the sweet and sassy sauce. That was great also. Their sweet tea was also delicious. Their customer service was on point. The guy that took my order came around the front to bring me my drink and my food. He was very friendly and welcoming. I just think that they need to fry their chicken a bit more. read more

First timer, I'll have to try it again for better judgement. Overall, Food was good, chicken was crispy with a tender inside. I love the crispy chicken w the sauce. (Got 1 Sauce, So maybe next time I'll ask for more) The Side of bread is nice and crispy too. Service was great. Aside from not getting more than one sauce. I went thru the drive thru(: IMO The price is a bit dramatic, but when you're hungry you're hungry. read more

Not bad! A nice spinoff of Raising Canes. It wasn't a fulfilled experience due to it being a takeout order but, I would recommend trying it yourself read more

The place it's cute lots of spots to sit down. The cashier was super nice and friendly. The drive thru was busy but he still got my food out at a decent time and brought it to the table. The chicken strips look good. We always eat with our eyes first. The chicken was fresh hot and tender and has a good flavor. I'm actually really happy with the taste of my food, and service. I will be coming back to bring the kids. read more

Absolutely disgusting and filthy every table was covered in crumbs and stains of filth the cleanest table took around 5 minutes to be able to be cleaned off and the chicken wasn't even worth it read more

Great service, great food, great chicken, clean friendly environment! The chicken is always moist and flavorful! read more

Service was pretty good although it took about 10 min to get my order. The cashier did apologize... The coleslaw was your typical restaurant coleslaw. I like the small amount of breading on the chicken was good... Abite a little salty. The fries were your basic crinkle fries nothing super special. It would be cool to have a spicy chicken option. read more

Chicken is great. Fries are meh. Sauce was also great. Texas toast was OK Cole slaw is Cole slaw Maybe I go "well done" extra salt on the next fries. Or skip.... ? read more

This was just the definition of midder canes lol. Other than the server being nicer than the canes staff everything was worse. The bread was a normal white bread toast that didn't give character like canes. The coleslaw was mid. The chicken could have been a bit bigger they were very skinny. The sauce was basically cane sauce but slightly worse. The fries were kinda sad as well they were very dry . But the person working there was awesome! read more

Here's the good, in order of the best: 1. The best: the person who took our order and explained the menu and offered their recommendation. Super helpful and patient! I wish that I'd asked their name... took our order at about 3 pm or so, long black hairstyle, "Springy Afro Twist", maybe? Anyway, this person was the best part of our experience. Thank you! 2. Second best: the chicken. We ordered the Original 5-Tender Combo. Service was quick and complete. The chicken tenders were good...not Chick-fil-A delicious, but still good tasting. Now, a couple of recommendations for improvement: 1. The coleslaw was NOT tasty at all... bland and soggy. Spice it up, change the dressing, change the method of prep... something. This alone made the meal a disappointment. 2. The toast included in the combo was unnecessary. If we order the combo again we'll skip the toast and the coleslaw. Sorry for the bland review, but it does describe our experience today at Guthrie's Chicken on Vista. read more

The food was excellent and the service was outstanding, give em a try, ya won't be disappointed. Shout out to Bray who went out of her way to make sure it was a great experience! read more

Great food, clean and courteous staff. I liked that they have a family meal option great for picnics or trips to the park!

I mean it's chicken strips... they're good but I'm not always in the mood for chicken strips. The people that helped me were great. The food and flavors I tried were good, just boils down to not enough options. Restaurant was clean and no real complaints. read more

can we do less than one star. bro gave me pink chicken. if this sends me to the hospital i'm crashing my car into Guthrie's right after. read more

There's absolutely no flavor with this chicken. Go to McDonald's next door, their chicken and fries are definitely better than this garbage. Fries are crinkle cut but mine were slightly overdone. The sauce was just an underwhelming ripoff of Raising Cane's sauce. They even forgot the sauce that I ordered. The one positive I can give is that the girl who serviced me was super friendly. All in all, this experience was awful and I'm never going back to that filth. Hopefully my 10$ goes towards that girls salary. read more

Good food & quality service, but why are the chicken tenders so small now? Used to be double their size... let's not skimp out on servings. read more

I ordered online for pickup and they made me come in...not an option for drive through. The place was dead and the counter wasn't very clean. Blah menu and overcharge for extra sauces. I give them six months tops. read more

Good place to eat! I like the service and the food selection. I would recommend coming here after a Boise state football win!

The sauces are nice and the chicken has an ok flavor but nothing really stood out to me here. The service was merely ok and the tried lacked crispiness. I will try again because there was real lemon in my iced tea. read more

This place is great they serve chicken and it's really great stuff but they never fill your drink all the way.

Awesome to have you on the Boise Bench! great service And so clean and new! *********

Me and my family went to lunch today at Guthrie's. Overall great experience. Friendly staff, clean building, food is solid. Prices are a little high but that's what you get for eating out. My only complaint would be that the chicken was just a little salty for me and my wife. We are big salt people too and still thought it was a little too salty... Overall great experience and good food. We will be back! read more

The food was good and quick , comparable to Canes. The service was good for a fast food restaurant.

We went to Guthries at a little before 12.noon. We went through the drive thru with no one in front of us, we placed our order and drove up. We waited over 23 minutes at the window and it was so slow that 2 cars behind us left. When the associate finally came up we we asked if they were normally that slow. read more

I have come here multiple times on multiple occasions, I enjoy eating the food here it is good. However the tables are often dirty from people previously eating. Music is nice and they have some entertainment, a little bit on the slow side for service, but they offer free refills. read more

My favorite fried chicken in Boise. I'm a regular. It takes a little longer than fast food, and it can be a little messy sometimes. But great food! read more

Amazing chicken, better than KFC and the sauce and fry's . Excellent service I think they need more menu options but overall 8/10

Fast service and the chicken strips were very delicious. The prices of their meals are very reasonable. Will definitely visit again.

Went through 35 minutes before close and sat at the menu while nobody took my order. Their microphones kept turning on and off and would pick up their voices laughing and messing around. Waited for 5 minutes then left with no food. I just wanted some chicken. Their food is good so it was definitely a let down waiting and not getting it. read more

I stopped in after shopping and very hungry. Unfortunately, the fries were cold and even when I warmed them up at home, tasted old and stale. Chicken, Texas toast, and slaw were fine, not the fries. The store was also empty, I would have hoped for freshly cooked food. read more

I love the chicken here and the customer services is pretty good and the fries are good to

Friendly service, tasty chicken and the sauce is delicious! We will be regulars for sure.

The chicken was good, management has a lot to be desired. They didn't give us a choice for our sauces. I asked what their sauces were then was charged six dollars for those side sauces. Manager kinda got snappy when I asked if it's normal that we don't get to choose what sauces come first and so on. The manager was also wearing shorts in the kitchen, which seems very unsanitary. read more

love this store! great chicken! good deal. great people great store great food. better than canes

tried it opening day or week. was extremely bland, couldn't even taste salt. with that said i thought it was way over priced for the quality. as if it was dipped in tempura, fried and just put in a bag immediately after. read more
