Great spot for pizza and drinks! We were there on a quick overnight stop between Texas and Iowa and Guthrie Brewing Company was recommended by our hotel desk clerk. The pizza was filling, with lots of fun topping choices. Gluten free crust was yummy, too, for those in our party that wanted GF. The drinks were fantastic, though. We waited an hour for our food. The chips with the firecracker queso were not restaurant quality. I expected they would be hot like I get at most restaurants. Also the chip texture made them taste cheap. We received burned pizza. I ordered margherita pizza and they put one basil leaf on top of my pizza like it was an afterthought instead of putting fresh basil on my pizza and cooking it which is common with pizza style. I am sad to say this was the worst pizza I have ever eaten. I am disappointed that I am writing this review because I had hoped for a good experience. I hope others have a better experience then me. After 2 years of waiting and 4 years of ownership's hard work, don't let the exterior fool you. Walking in, I was greeted warmly and seated immediately, as they have ample seating in the large, spacious, industrial, historic building. Paul, the owner, has done an amazing job with keeping the character and elevating it with great charm. Handmade tables, bar, and other features were constructed by local tradesmen, and they did a great job. My server, Lydia, was at my table within a minute of seating. She was kind and helpful in explaining the menu. She checked in on me and made sure food was to my satisfaction. Great job. The pizza was freshly made, and the dough is made from scratch. Right now only one type of crust is available, with plans to expand this in the future. Pizza offerings rotate to keep new pies and flavors coming. My favorite pizza from this trip was the pepperoni. The fresh garlic added to the pepperoni just hit the taste buds right. My side dipping sauce of marinara could have been reduced with a few extra minutes on the heat, but still had good flavor. Fresh sandwiches with good-quality ingredients are also available. I enjoyed the "Smoke Stack." Food is brought on paper plates, so do not worry about your kids breaking plates and bring them in for a fresh pizza pie! They have a full bar. Local and import beers are on tap, and many other beers are available. At this time, their own beers are not available but possibly will be available in the weeks to come. They are not rushing the process and making sure a good-quality product is brought to their customers before introducing it. Great detail is going into beer production. Carbon filter and reverse osmosis water systems are being utilized to maintain consistency. I can't wait to come back to try when they release their first brews. All servers were well kept, clean, and had smiles on their faces. I did not see any staff playing on their phones; all were attentive and working hard. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. I had the pleasure of taking a walk with the owner through the restaurant and taking in the smells of fresh hops in a beer wort that was being prepped. This is a veteran owned business. I spoke with the owner about why he started the business and why here. He said he wanted to bring something to Guthrie that we didn't have and something that can help be an anchor to our residents by providing jobs and a place where families can come have good food and build relationships with neighbors. They have a great private party area on the second floor to host a birthday party, guys night, or business lunch or dinner. Future plans of the ownership sound amazing as well, but I'm not going to spoil any surprises he may have! I gave 4 stars because all is amazing!! I didn't give 5 starts due to the wings. Wings are probably one of my favorite things to eat. The first couple visits (and I have been here at minimum a couple dozen times) the waitress said to order wings extra crispy or they wouldn't be good... couple times they came out right but for the most part they are gummy trash... tonight I had enough and sent them back... literally I was told if I took them home and put them in my air fryer for xxxxx temp and xxxxxx time they would be good. To my reply was why am I paying for them if I have to cook them... they proceeded to tell me they are oven cooked and that is the best they can do.. which is a total lie as they have done better.. sometimes you have to realize you don't have a great product and you are honest upfront.. if I ordered extra crispy and you know you can't execute then be upfront and honest.. don't let this deter you!! I've numerous ones & they're all really good. Finally had one of their in-house brewed beers. Their amber was very good. I'll definitely be ordering both their beer & pizza often. We arrived around 4:05 - 4:10pm for dinner on 12/13/2025, and it was around 4:50 pm before our order was taken. We brought our long wait time to the attention of the hostess several times and we were told the waitress assigned to our table wouldn't arrive until 5:00pm. Our guest was handicapped in a wheelchair so we asked to sit at the table up front - the other waitresses would wait on the table behind us but they acted like we were invisible! Another couple sat next to us and experienced the same issue. The management knows this is a big night for Guthrie (Victorian Christmas Walk) - why not have extra help on hand? Anyway, not a good way to treat customers. I don't blame the girls - it's a management issue. Not going to dine here anytime soon I can promise! read more

Very spacious and inviting. They didn't have microbrews or anything unique yet, but supposedly those are coming soon. They did have a decent selection of conventional beer on tap as of now. There was a very good vibe among the patrons as it was homecoming week. Seemed to be a great gathering spot. We came in after the football game, starving, and the Italiano sandwich was wonderful. They have family style seating with gorgeous tables. Our server was wonderful. Especially attentive and quick for how busy it was. Nothing negative to say at all. What a great place with an awesome vibe! The decor is rustic with a very cool bar top! The servers and staff were all so fun and efficient! The pizza is some of the best we have ever had- perfect crust! We had the traditional pepperoni and added sausage - delicious! Our friend had the bacon and bleu pizza and said it was incredible! Usually not one to ding a restaurant, but tonight just got to me. We came in to watch the Guthrie game and ordered a slice of Margherita and two slices of Pepperoni. They brought the single slice within 3-4 minutes (warm and burned on bottom) but after 30+ minutes and three excuses we still didn't have our 2 slices of Pepperoni. Granted they were busy but not super busy. Everybody else seemed to be getting their orders. There was no offer to make good on their screwup. If you are going to sell pizza by the slice then have pizza by the slice! I really liked this new business (three visits) and the food is good, but now I will think twice before going again. read more
