    Dining outside
    Steven D.

Seems like a hip and young place. Plenty of outdoor seating. Not sure why but when asked if we wanted to sit in or out, we chose outside since it was such a nice evening. Then the host proceeded to sit us way as far away from everyone else as he could. We felt like we were on an island. Huh? Guess when you're a foreigner- that's what you get. The food was good and tasty. The house wine was good. Check it out. The ambiance and the food is definitely worth a visit. (when we left the tables around us were full- I guess we should have remembered italians like to eat late)

I had dinner here in December 2014 and enjoyed it so much I had to go back on this trip. This location has what 'feels' like 3 - a restaurant, a nice Osteria and a casual wine/appertivo bar. This time I went to the casual bar to enjoy a drink and the included cold snack buffet. Everything was delicious on both visits. The only disappointment was the 'free' WiFi forces you to register with both your email and mobile number; although it said it would text me a user name and password, it never did so I couldn't get online. As an American, I like to pay the tab as soon as I am done eating. I won't take a star away for them allowing their customers to linger as long as they like. The waiter was unobtrusive and friendly. The menu is modern Italian, the wine list has good variety and the cocktails were creative. I will definitely return!

    Absolutely delicious! Well balanced assortment.

As two cheese lovers we had to stop in for a snack after we strolled by their cheese window. So glad we did! Theres some outdoor seating, very laid back and on a quiet street so enjoyable. Its a great causal/industrial atmosphere inside. Our waitstaff were very pleasant. Nice wine list, but the real star here is the cheese list! We split the cheese platter and it was fantastic. Very good quality at great prices. I would suggest you stop in and try for yourselves!

We came here for lunch and had a superb light lunch. Casual atmosphere, great music, great service.

You're in Rome- food costs what it costs. The flavors of every dish we had for lunch were perfect and portions were generous buy Italian standards. Glad our hotel is just down the street....we'll be back for dinner.

Went here for a long lunch and loved it. Split a meat & cheese plate, the lasagna, octopus ragu & a bottle of rose. The lasagna in particular was awesome. Very friendly & kind staff, and it was nice to eat outside on a quiet street away from the nearby hustle and bustle. Great spot!

Mixed meat and cheese platter for 15€ - great value

Spanish steps were closed due to renovation and headed away from tourist locations and stumbled across this gem. Started with a cheese listing longer than the extensive wine list and i knew we had the right spot. Started with mixed appetizer platter of meat and cheese which was exceptional and reasonable. Had a nice wine but vintage advertised (2009 Jermann vintage) was substituted for the 2013 which was good but not the same as the '09 vintage. Ravioli was good, chicken cacciatore was exceptional and why the meal was so good. Everything was very good - prices are a bit high but service was good and value was good. Only bad things - no wifi, 2.5€ for bread. Still worth 4 stars.

Our little girl with the staff! So sweet and friendly

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Already depressed knowing we were returning to the cold and fearful Minneapolis, we spent the day packing and wandering Prati. After drowning our sorrows at a few cocktail emporiums in the early evening, we walked into Su e Giu without a reservation close to 9:30. The two guys working the front showed us to a table, and we proceeded to have a perfect last night meal. Our appetizers and pastas were great, service was friendly, and I spent time reflecting on how wonderful Rome is, rather than thinking about our return to the fractured States. Su e Giu Cucina Romana is the perfect Roman restaurant to feel La Dolce Vita. It is a sweet life indeed.

This shop is more of a countertop order from their limited menu but the menu is executed so well you'll be tempted to order multiple bowls. There are a few stools and table out front to enjoy your food hot. Both times I've been on separate visits within two years, has only shown me how consistent their food and quality is. You can pair your dishes with an aperol spritz or mini bottle of wine for less than five euros. The pasta was about nine to eleven euros and the portions were more than plenty. The chef and owner are super nice and very informative about their dishes. If you are a fan of spice you have to try their chef-recommended dish. They had one dish topped with pancetta and I just about wanted to lick my bowl clean. Everyone in the group was raving how delicious it was. Egg will forever be on my must-have when visiting Rome.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem.
