I didn't pay attention to the warning sign of nobody eating here. The wait staff of very kind and very attentive. Salmon was largely tasteless. I had noodles with a white cheese sauce. Over powering; like eating straight Parmesan cheese. The spaghetti item was mostly uneaten. There was hair all over the balsamic bottle. Nice area to eat outside but definitely disappointed. Our first day in Rome, we went to Corsetti for a late lunch. We shared mussels, the sea bass in potato crust, carbonara with truffle, and broccoli. The best was the carbonara, which was prepared with extra garlic and crispy bacon. It was amazing! I went back for more the next week and tried the fried artichoke. I would give it SIX stars if I could. The food here is to die for and the service is unmatched. I can't even recommend a specific dish because we got 10 and they were all outstanding. It is tucked away from the crowds at the popular restaurants and it is so much better. We've been to over 10 of the top rated restaurants in Rome and this one tops all of them. The ambiance in the restaurant is also very nice at night. We will be back to Rome just for this restaurant. read more

We so wanted this to be a most memorable meal in Italy. We went on NYE with a reservation so it was a pre_determined meal and price. But for 110 Euros per person we expected it would be as good, if not better, than being there at another time. First, when we arrived at 7P, there was much consternation they didn't have our reservation because even though we booked online there was some pre-pay email step we never got....keeping in mind it was 7P and no one was even there yet....they took our dough and found us a table for 2. The table was tucked in the back and not great but it was fine for the first 30 mins or so when we just had bread and wine. While the app allowed a 7P reservation it seemed 730 or 8P was more typical.... what we were not expecting was literally 10 pre-teen/teen boys to dine from about 745 to 9P in our 3-table nook...seemingly children of some staff....they weren't bad but they were decidedly pre-teens...wrestling over soda bottles and fire crackers, etc. Our waiter was wonderfully kind as was the cook who came several times to attend to the boys despite having no children....we enjoyed speaking to him very much. The first few courses were fabulous and we felt well on our way to one of our finest meals on our trip to Rome....even with the crazy boy table nearby... But despite a few wonderful courses, things took a terrible turn. Both our pasta (mini gnocchi with langostine and pomegranate) and our beef (sent back for replacement -- overcooked...) and veg (neither hot nor cold) returned.... It was a HUGE disappointment. The replacement beef was much improved though the veg and sauce remained undefined (should it be hot, cold or otherwise....) and they clearly microwaved it when we said it seemed cold, to include the mayonsised-based sauce....yucky.... It's hard to reject something as an American tourist, so I appreciated that the Geneva guests who arrived later and landed at the 3rd table in our little room had the same problems. Later when the preparer came thru he promised some refund...but none was forthcoming. Perhaps our extra wine should be appreciated as the discount no one else received.... In any event, I'd love to say, go when you can choose from their whole Italian menu it is sure to be great ...but at the same time, they promised a new year's eve event and fell far, far short... We were so sad about our new year's eve in Rome. :( read more

Corsetti is one of the best restaurants in Roma. I was completely in love with the food here. My dining experience was simply wonderful. We had lunch and dinner here, to be honest I wish we would have came here several more times because the food was so delicious. The staff was so lovely and warm. If I ever return back to Roma, I will definitely make sure to dine here again. Celiac folks they have plenty of delicious gluten-free dishes. If you dine here for lunch then I would suggest sitting outside in the terrace. However if you dine for dinner then inside is lovely as well. read more

Sitting in the restaurant, I felt immersed in authentic Italian lifestyle, from the décor to the smell of every neighboring tables' meals, ripe with freshness and seasoning. The stone archways provide a rustic feel, mimicked in the design of the curved-back chairs. White linens and bench seating add a contemporary touch, while the warm wood floors and soft up-lighting add an inviting ambience. My server was wonderful, making recommendations and engaging in pleasantries to ensure I felt right at home. I never went without, and the food was hot and fresh when delivered to my table. I started with an assortment of seafood, which featured mussels, fried baby octopus, and seared tuna. This antipasto di mare was the perfect way to begin my dinner, as the seafood was fresh and light, and definitely whet my appetite for my next course of lobster noodles. The pasta was delicate, but held sauce well, while the lobster had that melt-in-your-mouth texture, smooth as butter. For my main, I delighted in a fillet of sea bass with baked sliced potatoes, the latter perfectly cooked and creamy, while the fillet was meaty and flaky. Delicious. I ended my dinner with a succulent panna cotta with caramel, perfectly sweet and a hint of nuttiness in the dark caramel. For starters this is a more upscale establishment vs the other resturaunts on the area.. close to All the trav.crazyines and a little more expensive but nothing crazy. The menu is a bit more selection and drink menu is more refined (but wine and good scotches. The decor is also definitely more modern, etc. The service was excellent... nice guy very helpful and funny. As for the food, the appetizer (melted cheese with truffles) was amazing!!! The entres were ok.. i had the sea bass and it was fresh and ok, just nothing to write home about. My wife had fried veal which is not even on the menu.. it was pretty good. We didn't try any pastas so can't really comment on that. Taramasu was great! And they have good scotch.. read more

Amazing hospitality and food. I was a table of one on a busy Saturday but was still well taken care of and made to feel like family. Beautiful place and even better food. I would highly recommend. I started with the Carbonara and almost died. It's so decadent, I promise you won't regret it. I ended the meal with my first Tiramisu in Rome and I have to say it did not disappoint. The slowest service I have ever experienced! Went there because our taxi driver recommended it very strongly. We waited more than an hour for our food. And it was nothing great. On top of that they added euro14 for bread that we didn't order, the waiter brought it out in his own and we assumed it was complimentary, as is in every restaurant. He also brought mineral water when we asked for regular. At the end when we asked them why we were being charged for the bread, the lady said "what about the table linens and all the service, this amount is not much for such a restaurant". I LOVED Corsetti 1921. As an American living in Rome, I have tried every restaurant in the vicinity. Corsetti 1921 is what you would call 'Romantic Italy'. When you think of a beautiful restaurant with a passionate chef and hands on owner in your mind, this is it, in real life. The food is fresh from the market in front of the restaurant and the chef will come check on you himself. The owner, Anton is truly caring and dropped by to chat also. I will 100% recommend Corsetti 1921 for any meal. The tiramisu is the best I have ever had in my life, and the chef passionately told me they only use the finest ingredients and where he got them.
