This is my 3rd visit to Gus'. Each time I've gone I've been greeted by the friendly staff, the tables were clean and no unusual smells. I've had the Regular and the Chili dogies with fries. Both were really tasty dogies and I'm liking the "special sauce". On my next visit, I'm trying the burgers.

These are the most authentic, original Birmingham dogs around. I always get the chili cheese dog. So good!

Just a great hotdog at a good price. If you want more you are in the wrong place.

Ditto on the best hot dogs. We go almost every Saturday. Super specials all the way. Can't beat 'em anywhere. Egg Salad is yummy, too.

Plus side , they had a drive thru! I drove around to the back of the building as this SP is in a shared space with a gas station. The back side of this building appeared very shady looking. I still proceeded to the drive thru to place my order. The menu board was well displayed & easy to read. I already knew what I wanted though. Two original hotdogs all the way. The lady who assisted me was beyond nice ! Service exceeded my expectations. My hotdogs were prepared just as I requested and were fresh! I ate them while driving home and they were DELISH! This was my first time at this location. Honestly, I had given up on SP because they started to lack consistency. SP use to be the BOSS of hotdog places but now there is just so much competition. It felt good to enjoy a meal from SP like old times!

Sneaky Pete's has some pretty tasty hot dogs! I don't really eat hot dogs a lot and when I do…read morethey're normally homemade, but I would definitely come here again. I got the "original" hot dog, a chili cheese dog, and a side of fries for a little under ten dollars. The fries were really good! Crispy and well seasoned..I like the chili cheese dog a bit more than the original but I have a slight obsession with chili cheese anything.. The service was nice and quick! And the one I went to in Irondale (which is connected to a gas station) had a seating area.

Lots of cajun, brunch, sandwiches, soups, etc. I came for a late lunch on Saturday with some friends, I wasn't super hungry, but ended up being quite enticed by the menu. I ordered the sausage balls off of their special brunch menu. They were served with what I believe was a cranberry jam and very tasty. I could have done them a little spicier, but that's personal preference. I would definitely get them again. I also ordered a side of the gumbo, which was very good. Very dark roux, very tasty. This place hits the spot and is a great option for a group of all ages, they'd definitely have something to please everybody. Service is good, too. Parking can be a little difficult and it's on a steep hill.

We started off with the chips and dip because my son had had it the last time he was here which was last weekend. The house chips were very delicious. I didn't catch my server's name, but she was short and had blonde hair and she was attentive. They were still serving brunch, but I decided to get a patty melt while my son got the big green pimp burger. This time we got the salted caramel cookie from cookie fix with some ice cream and brought it home and that was very delicious. The parking is a little tricky. It's a bit steep. They have a small bar area where it looked like there were several regulars there. There were several TVs in there to watch the different games that were on. The only thing I don't like is that there's no coke products they have Pepsi, which I really don't care for Pepsi other than that I think it's a really great place. Very casual.

I'm not personally a fan of mayonnaise, so I skipped the Alabama white sauce, but my guest ordered it and really liked it. If that style of sauce is your thing, it seems to be well executed here. The French fries were cooked well, though I found myself wishing there was a house seasoning or something on the table to switch up the flavor profile a bit. The collard greens were also delicious -- tender and nicely prepared, with most of the stems removed, though there were still a few more than I would have preferred. Where the experience dipped was service. We were seated in a back corner, and it took quite a while to get assistance from servers throughout the meal. It didn't feel intentional, just a bit overlooked. The restaurant itself is in a very cool, older building with character. The historic feel is part of its charm, though aesthetically it does feel a little worn in places -- understandably so given the age of the space. Overall, the food is strong and worth trying, especially the chicken. With more attentive service, it would easily elevate the experience.
