I visited the Zaxby's drive-thru on Tuesday evening. The employee who assisted me was very kind and professional. Unfortunately, the wings I received appeared old and tasted as though they had been reheated rather than freshly prepared, so I had to discard them. I called the store as soon as I arrived home and made three attempts to speak with someone. On the third call, I left a voicemail. Two days later, I called again but did not receive an answer. As with most fast food restaurants these days, the quality of your food and service depends on who's working at the time that you visit. I've been to this Zaxby's many times and it's good overall. Not great, not poor but just....average. It also depends on what is ordered. Most of the time I order chicken fingers. The chicken is good, but sometimes the fries aren't fresh or hot. On this recent trip, I ordered the chicken bacon ranch loaded fries. It was anything but impressive. It's been months since I've ordered this, and I don't remember it being prepared so haphazardly. Bacon not crumbled up but just thrown on the plate. Chicken far and few. Hardly any cheese, if any. The fries were hot though undercooked. I was heading out soon to another event so this meal would have to suffice. Needless to say it was a disappointment in a box. Sadly, this Zaxby's is near where I live, so I will probably return when in the mood for chicken fingers and fast food. Hopefully if you visit, you will have a better experience. I wanted some chicken fingers, so decided to place an order at zaxbys. I did the mobile app order and opted for the drive thru because I didn't want to get out of the car. lol. When I pulled up, I told them that I had a mobile order. I liked that they waited until I arrived to make my drinks, so that they weren't sitting. My order was ready when I got there and service was excellent. The chicken fingers were good and my food was still hot when I got it home. I love the cookies. They are the best. I wanted to taste the cheesecake bites. They were crispy and the strawberry dip was perfect. Since I ate them later, I did recrisp them for 3 minutes in my air fryer and they were just as good as when I first got them home. I will definitely be getting those again. There is sufficient parking at this location. It was busy when I dropped by. But they were quick and the drive thru seemed to steadily flow. I will be dropping by this location again. read more

Was in the mood for a salad. After thinking about where I wanted to pick one up from, I settled on Zaxby's. Their salads are usually really good. I got mine really fast. This one was average. I think it was already fixed and they gave it to me. I still ate it but the wafers were soggy. This will not stop me from purchasing there but just a tad disappointed with this salad. read more

Lunch here was an experience. One that's worth sharing. As I approached the counter, I noticed the cashier, lady with a red hair weave, was too busy talking on the phone. So the manager, who was covering the kitchen, screamed across the kitchen. I believe he was simply trying to ask me what I will be ordering but his big head sticking thru the little window dividing the kitchen from the front counter barely fit and I was dying inside. I gave him my order. Little bit after the lady started taking my order and then the unforgettable happened. I ADDED CHEESE! She stopped, turn around, looked at the manager and ask him if he was ok with the order change. LOL Thankfully, he shook his head yes and we received the blessing to proceed with the order. I was looking forward to my Zaxby's sandwich and I got one. The cheese did made it to the sandwich and remained cold as I consumed the sandwich. I'm four months pregnant and I eat Zaxby's often. On 1/30/26 I ordered a chicken salad and caught food poisoning. I have never threw up during my pregnancy and once the doctor confirmed it let me know they are very unsanitary in that restaurant. Terrible feeling 0/10 recommended. read more

I don't know why I continue to give this location a chance. Every single time my order is wrong and the workers honestly could not care less. They're so rude and unhappy they make you feel guilty for asking for your order to be corrected. Sauces never included (when they're supposed to be). Bone in instead of boneless. I go here somewhat often because I enjoy the food at zaxbys but this is the worst location I've ever been to. The food here is not up to par with the other zaxbys I've been to but that is not my biggest complaint. The employees at this restaurant are god awful. There's no other way to put it, they are rude as can be. They always seem so annoyed by just having to do their job. Tonight I got some boneless wings and the guy at the window flung them out so fast that by the time I got home and opened it the sauce had leaked out of the box and the entire bag was full of sauce. Boy, I hate to give poor reviews especially on a local business. But, I went to this Zaxby's location around 1:45 this afternoon, I have never been treated so rudely by a window attendant before, she was loud and angry over the speaker and was just as rude and angry at the window. I understand she has a hectic job and people aren't always as polite as they could be, but I was trying to be polite, I thanked her when she took my money and again when-she slung my bag of food out thru the window. Slinging out thru the window caused the coleslaw to spill into the adjacent compartment wetting the bread and some of the fries. Thank goodness I stopped and moved the chicken fingers away or half of them would have gotten wet. The chicken fingers were warm n tasty and the fries were seasoned and warm, the ones that were dry. I didn't have a real issue with the food, my issue was with the window attendant. If she doesn't like serving people, maybe she should look for a job where she does behind the scenes work. Im a fan. Why? They have gotten my order right both times I have been here, made me fresh baked cookies when I requested it, they have a magic Coke machine, and the food has been good enough to fill me up. This isn't my favorite chicken place in town but again, the fresh baked cookies are delicious and if I'm with someone who wants to go here, and they are paying, then I'm game. This location is the same, to me, as the ones in Trussville and Hoover. I have never had a problem with service or my food. The rudest and non caring staff I've ever come into contact with. Came in during a "down time" (2:30pm) and got the absolute worst looks I've gotten pretty much ever. Food here is good, just like any other Zaxby's. Today I got the chicken nibbler which was almost drenched with Zaxby's sauce. Not as good their Zaxby's club which is my favorite...who doesn't love chicken tenders in grilled toast? But these chicken nibblers are perfect for kids. Ya know, chains (especially fast food) have to be superb to get more than four stars. This place was disastrous (hence the two stars). I came around 4PM on a Saturday, so not really a peak time. I ordered at the drive-through, and drove my car around. There was one car ahead of me, and I had to wait approximately five minutes before I could pull up to the window. Other reviewers aren't lying when they say it takes forever! When I finally got to the window, the cashier asked me what my order was! Didn't I just give you that 5 minutes ago?!? Service is quick and food is always good but workers are very rude and don't even give you a chance to order your whole meal without interrupting with "is that all". I cannot stress this enough. This is the worst Zaxby's I have ever visited. And I've probably eaten at 50-60 of their locations. Specifically, is it so hard to just be friendly to customers? To portray that you don't hate your job and the people that frequent your store? The food is always GREAT! When the order is correct, which is becoming more infrequent. My last 4 visits, all during the last 3 weeks have had errors. Which are hard to fix when you're drive thru only. Just get it right the first time. And take pride in your work. This location is hit or miss. I've been here approximately 6 times, all drive-thru, and they've gotten it right half of the time. The times it's been wrong - the employees have been pretty awful. Rude, or just don't care about their job or their customers at all. The last time I was there, the lady at the drive-thru window couldn't even be bothered to make an effort giving me my drink. I practically had to climb out of my window to grab it. Then, I had to pull forward to wait, ON A SALAD. Once it was brought out to me, I looked in the bag before driving off and no one had put the dressing in the bag, so I ended up having to go inside to get the dressing and nobody was at the counter. I could hear the employees laughing and cutting up, but saw absolutely no one and had to wait for several minutes before someone finally walked around the corner from the kitchen. The dressing packets were sitting on the little shelf between the kitchen and the front counter, ready to go into the bag, but it never happened. I will say though, that the few times it's been a good experience, the employees have been friendly and the food has been hot and fresh without having to wait forty forevers for it. This USED to be a great location where the staff really cared about getting your order right. They have messed up my order a number of times. Last two times we ordered the Cobb salad we didn't get the egg, bacon bits, or fried onion bits. So I guess we just got salads. I even double checked the menu. The staff doesn't seem to care anymore.
