So I went again today and stopped by for cocktails and food to go! Vibes were awesome as expected. Same bartender and he was great. Tonight's manager (Thursday, 6/29) was perfect! Great attitude, professional and all the way just amazing vibes!! This is my spot !! Thank you

The service here is just unfortunately very very slow. There was a wait for getting seated (the worker did not come out for a while) and there was such a long wait for the food - I sat down at 1:40 for brunch on a Saturday and the food final arrived at 2:30 We asked two waiters about our order and still had to wait for an answer. And the restaurant was not even full. Someone came out to apologize about our food which was more reassuring and they ended up giving us a discount but still disappointed about my experience - just wished our waiter checked in with us more because we had to flag down another waiter to tell them about our situation. But on another note, loved the holiday decor!

Love coming to their Christmas-themed bar every year. The drinks are always on point and the food is yummy. Of course the best part is the festive and cheery decor and friendly service. Will most definitely be back next year!

This was the Mardi Gras special menu. Drinks were awesome!

The snowy weather didn't stop this mom foursome from enjoying a Gal-entine/Mardi Gras night out. The place has a great atmosphere, warm and inviting. You definitely feel like you're visiting a friend's house. Our waiter, Andrew was amazing. Made great suggestions, was attentive but gave us plenty of space to enjoy our night out. Unfortunately the advertised jazz music was not present as I'm sure with the snow, things got changed up. But Andrew made sure we still got some Mardi Gras beads to end our night with some fun. We had drinks and appetizers from both the special Mardi Gras menu and the regular menu. Food was delicious and drinks were spot on! Looking forward to coming back again to this local watering hole!

5 stars for ambiance - decor was nostalgic and sparked tremendous joy 4 stars for food 2 stars for service So we made a reservation for brunch and were super excited. Walked in and was in awe, the place looked like it was from a Christmas movie. Sat down and placed our orders. Our appetizer nachos was brought out. As we started eating, we realized that we didn't have any napkins. Our server did not check in on us for 15 minutes until the main meal was brought out. We asked for drink refills, more ketchup for my kids chicken fingers and napkins. All were brought out quickly. We ate our main meal - delicious. Some egg dish for my husband and the chicken and waffles for me. Omg were they delicious. My daughter stole a waffle and didn't even complain about the hot honey on it, that's how good they were. We then sat there while we waited for our bill and a box. We kept waiting. Finally got it. Then waited some more. What I assume was the manager walked over and took our bill and payment finally. We were just again talking about the place and how nice it was and my husband goes "oh wow, I think they brought me the wrong food". Low and behold, he ordered the cheesy scramble but was brought out juevos rancheros. He was starving and must not have realized, so he just dug in . Said they were very good, but clearly not what he wanted or ordered. Honestly, our server was inattentive and lackluster when compared to the atmosphere of the restaurant. But it wasn't a dealbreaker. I left there happy and look forward to going again!

All I have to say is that I had SO MUCH FUN! I was lucky enough to visit during the holiday season, and the Christmas decor is done by a company named Miracle. It was simply amazing. I loved the Christmas themed drink I got a, Christmapolitan. It was pretty strong. For dinner I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Next year I definitely want to head back with my kiddos. I heard there is a Santa lunch and the setting here is just perfect. I HIGHLY recommend this experience.

Street parking. They recommend reservations but there were plenty of tables available when i came. You can also sit by the bar. We all ordered devil eggs for an appetizer and the burger of the week, bison burger with cheese, mushrooms, and secret sauce. Meal comes with a side of fries or salad. Overall the food was good, nice location and at times they have live music.

I have been to Gus' a few times and had a pretty good experience. The decor is what gets me as I love the 60s vibe. The drinks are really great and you cannot beat the price. The bartenders are personable and happy to serve and speak to the customers at the bar. However, the are not as boozy as I would like unless you are getting a drink made wholly of liquor. It usually takes about 2-3 three drinks to feel a buzz. However, they are very tasty. The food is standard fair and lacks a little bit of excitement if I am being honest, but it is still good for the type of food it is. Also, I feel like their menu is kind of all over the place on cuisine level, making it hard to do one type of dish exceptionally well. My biggest complaint is that one weekends they have live music that is so loud that you cannot hear the conversations you're having with people you are there with. I am saying this having been sitting on the side of the bar by the entry way and still having to scream to speak to my friends. It's a good place to go randomly for a drink, but there are better places in the area food wise.

Great ambiance! Absolutely love the Christmas decor and how pleasant everyone was. The burgers were tasty. I definitely recommend.

Miracle on Valley at Gus' Last Word - Christmas Edition When my boyfriend and I walked in we were told that in order to get a table we needed to join the waitlist and we did however we asked if we could get a drink at the bar until we got called and thankfully they said yes. It didn't take too long for us to find seats by the bar area which was great. Last year we had done a few Miracle pop-up bars for Christmas and really enjoyed the Christmas decor and drinks. This pop up to be precise was beautifully decorated where each corner you would turn you would notice so many little nice touches of Christmas decor. The decor definitely gets a 5/5 rating. The service itself was not the best! The waiter took forever to take our drink order even when the bar area wasn't crowded during the time we went. And once placing our drink order, the drinks took forever to come and the same went with getting the check LOL! Service gets a 2/5 rating :( As for the drinks themselves, I wish the cups were more Christmasy. The drinks themselves were decent, I've definitely had better last year. I also didn't like that the host said it was a 2-3 hour wait when there were several tables available, I guess they don't want to make money?! Overall, I'm not certain I would recommend this Miracle pop-up.

Gus Last Word turned into a Winter wonderland! As soon as you pull up to the front door you are hit with those special Christmas vibes. The decorations, music and lighting is all so comforting. If you're a fan of the holidays, please check this place out. The specialty drinks are priced appropriately and definitely are worth it. For food we just did a bunch of appetizers. The pigs in a blanket were our favorite. All the sauces were on point. Our server was really nice and helpful with guiding us through the different options.

Really great experience. Came 12:30 On a Sunday. Not crowded. Very cute inside. Music was being set up. We got mimosas and Bellinis (yum!). They had a generous pour. Deviled eggs were delish (I just wish there were more than 4 halves!). Buffalo wings were delicious; not over fried and perfectly sauced/seasoned (light). Prosciutto parm pizza was amazing especially with the hot honey. Service was great. Prices were reasonable for quality. Had the sirloin cheesesteak to go with fries and was told that was very tasty. Will definitely be back!

We ordered an Expresso Martini (Vodka) and a Bees Knees Cocktail (Gin). Dario brought our drinks to our table. The cocktails were so yummy! SCD only sells chips and other related snacks. Best to eat before you arrive. Overall, Silk City Distillery has remained consistent since my last visit. Extras: - All alcohol is made at the distillery. - Distillery tours are available by appointment. - SCD has some hilarious Tee Shirts for sale. - 2 Restrooms on the premises. - Adjoining Ghost Hawk Brewery shares a small parking lot with SCD. Like the brewpub, Silk City Distillery had been on my wish list, and it was not until I arrived at Ghost Hawk that I noticed that they were adjacent to each other, allowing me to check both off at once. The tasting room was adorned with barrels that were holding their vast selection of spirits, such as bourbon, whisky, rum, gin, vodka, and more. They also offered a handful of regular and high-top tables, which we were easy to obtain on that afternoon (given the outdoor options as well), but typically reservations were recommended. Though the seating was comfortable, the temperature was not. In fact, it was freezing in there, and we, along with a lot of other parties, switched tables multiple times to find the best fit. We approached the counter to order from their lengthy cocktail list, which included standard and more custom cocktails. I decided on their rendition of a Lime Rickey, asking for it to be made with their gin. The tart, sour, and sweet drink was light and refreshing. I enjoyed each sip so much that I wound up getting a second round. While many distilleries offer a few types of alcohol and a handful of cocktails, the Silk City Distillery went above and beyond with their vast array of options. Any connoisseur should enjoy the place!

We tried the Ham & Brie Croissant with Tavern Fries. The Croissant was big enough for two of us to share and SOO good. I had the Golden Peach Martini while my girlfriend ordered the Brown Butter Old Fashioned. I'm not typically one to order an Old Fashioned so I always try hers out -- this has to be a top 5 for me!! This was my second time coming to Union. I had initially come in the fall for a Yelp Elite event but I've been wanting to come back ever since. For a "bar," their food and drink list is elevated and better than most! Shout out to our server Mariah! She said the bar had poured too much prosecco for another table, so we got to enjoy some complimentary prosecco -- can't let that go to waste! ;) Parking in East Rutherford can be tough at times, but I do love that Union has their own lot with plenty of parking. Ownership really did a great job creating a very cool, city-style, modern atmosphere. Before writing this review, I had to really think about what UB&P really is and (duh!) the name says it all. This is more of a bar first and food ( provisions) secondary. As long as you visit with this in mind you should have a good experience. Well lit, well stocked bar with as pair of large TVS for watching a game. Not a craft beer bar but ok on the wine selection and it has an interesting craft cocktail list. However the drinks sounded better than they were made. My dining companion and I have had our fair share of Old Fashions and Lychee-style martinis. The versions here GOLDEN PEACH MARTINI & BROWN BUTTER WASHED OLD FASHIONED fell flat. At $16-18 per, they need to get better. As for food, a very small menu ( which I do like at times) but this one doesn't have anything that says "I have to try that!" Again I'm feeling that what with all the great restaurants in the next town it makes sense to push the alcohol here more than the food. We split he hummus platter which was very good; For our main course: the house burger ( with fries) and meatloaf ( with sauteed spinach and pureed potatoes). The burger was very good and cooked as ordered. The meatloaf was good\ok, but I have the opinion that most of us already have a version of our favorite meatloaf from somewhere else ( mom's, spouse's, our own). A side of cornbread was ordered too. I find most places make it too dry but this version was very good. Do NOT expect to have dessert here as it is almost non-existent. No menu and only a few generic choices like cheesecake, chocolate cake, creme brulee ( they had 1 left on a Wednesday night! really? ) Anyway, good place for catching the game with some drinks. Food here if needed to keep the night going. They just need to do a little work on those cocktails.

My friend and I went at a normal time, and the place wasn't even busy. We originally ordered tacos and chaufa, but they brought us the wrong food. Eventually someone finally came back and apologized, saying they were busy -- which would've been understandable, except the restaurant really wasn't crowded at all. At that point, we were tired of waiting and just ate the food they gave us. But paying $18 for 3 basic tacos is honestly ridiculous. Their solution was basically, "We can make the correct order, but it'll take even longer." Then they automatically added an 18% gratuity for just two people, even though the service was far from good. Overall, the food was very basic, the service was frustrating, and the whole experience just wasn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place.
