Highly recommend! After having an issue with the dealership not properly diagnosing my car, I took it to Gus's. Full disclosure I was fine overpaying for the convenience of taking it to the dealer as I would get a loaner and be on my way. However, my car wasn't fixed the last time I took it to the dealership. I took it to Gus's and rented a car from Hertz in the same plaza, super convenient! Gus cleared the codes, drove my car twice, and did some troubleshooting. Clearing the codes has seemed to fix the issue. He said I'm 50/50 this is the problem but drive it and if issues, please bring it back. He could have easily told me I needed the repair done. He gave me an estimate, so i'm aware. He did NOT charge me to diagnose my car. He does everything from oil changes to headlights (not an easy swap in my car), to major repairs. I won't take my car anywhere else at this point and wish I would have taken my car to him years ago! You will not be disappointed. Again, highly recommend! read more

I've been coming here for a few years now and service and price are great. Gus has always been up front about what needs to get done and what can wait. Gus and staff do honest work. Cheers read more

Took my Benz here for alternator/battery light, oil change and headlight bulb replacement. Check in with Colton was great. Called me back in just an hours time with the assessment and price. Very reasonable and without the usual laundry list of things that they claim has to be done so they can run up your bill. Picked up car the next day. Gus came out and introduced himself and we chatted about cars a bit which I thought was a really nice touch with a new customer. After this first great experience, I am now a loyal customer and will recommend him to anyone looking for service on their foreign makes. Thanks much to Gus and company! read more

Gus and Anna run a first-class top-shelf business out of their shop in Naperville. The customer service is phenomenal and Gus's knowledge and experience in auto service and repair is exemplary. Gus does a great job. His is factory trained and knows what he is doing. He only fixes what needs to be fixed and is very knowledgeable about how to fix German makes. He doesn't just throw parts at a problem and has been know to provide some work arounds when it makes sense, especially on older cars. Gus gives you a straightforward diagnosis of your cars problems/repairs needed. I've been going to Gus for over 10 years, started with him at the old location. read more

They are VERY nice at this location. When I bought my Mercedes I was looking for a reputable shop to take my car to so I don't have to pay stealership prices. The rates are reasonable and the work is very good as well. They are very honest and will tell you exactly what you need without the fear of getting ripped off. I HIGHLY recommend this place for your European car. read more

I have known Gus for over 15 years. He has maintained my BMWs (E36 and E46 M3s) and Minis (multiple) - always a very honest quotes and professional. Never had issues with the work he has done over the years. Highly recommended if you want quality repair every time. read more

I usually work on my parents vehicles myself but approx 10 years ago I owned a couple of mattress stores and didn't have the time to help them out so I went online and found Gus. He is a consummate professional and a true perfectionist. He treats every car like it his own. If you own a Mercedes Benz or a BMW there is absolutely no reason to go to the dealer when you have Gus. Someone who genuinely cares about his customers and someone who offers an amazing value compared to dealership service pricing. Keep up the great work Gus you're an inspiration to us small business owners out here. read more

First time at Gus's for Mercedes repair. Terrific service, fixed issue quickly and also took care of a few other minor issues I hadn't even mentioned but needed attention. He's really good, knows what he's doing and has the best prices in the area. Highly recommended. read more

Gus and his wife was unprofessional and would not return calls in regards to repair. Not a good place of business

Been going to Gus for about 2 years. I don't normally write reviews, but Gus earned it. My wife owns a 2012 Mercedes C300. I dropped her car off around 8am and was done around 12pm to get some basic maintenance done. The driver side door wouldn't lock/unlock any more. Been like that for a month and was fiddling with it that very morning. I pick up my car after dropping it off in the morning and I attempt to open my door and it was locked. Confused at first I then realized Gus fixed it without even telling me or asking for an additional service fee. I didn't even mention the lock was malfunctioning. He treats your vehicle like it's his own. Definitely the only place I will be servicing our car. read more

Phenomenal communication - very clear instructions & descriptions! He told me what he could do and could not (certain parts had to go direct through dealer), and offered (no charge) to deliver my car to the dealer for the repair. A++++ read more

Gus is a terrific dude and a great place to get your Euro car serviced. I have been going here for some time and his service is friendly, fast and much more affordable than the dealer. If your ride is out of warranty, do yourself a favor- go see Gus in Naperville. read more

I could not be more pleased with the service I get for my 2006 BMW X3 with Gus! I had been taking my vehicle to the dealership for repairs and it was so expensive (never under $2000) I was contemplating getting rid of the car entirely (i.e. monthly car payment for a new car)! A friend from work recommended I look into having it serviced with Gus. He did the repair AND he assessed the vehicle on the first visit and gave it an overall clean bill of health, so now I will keep the vehicle for a couple more years and let Gus handle anything that pops up! He does an excellent job of assessing the problem and coming up with a repair that fixes the problem without telling me I need to completely replace an entire system. One such situation was on that very first visit when my exhaust system had started making noise. He identified the source of the sound leak and was able to cut off the rusted bolts and replace them. I am sure the dealership would have told me I needed an entirely new exhaust system but Gus only charged me for the labor to weld on the new bolts. And yesterday I brought it in for a hood that wouldn't stay latched, a leak in the washer fluid system, and a headlight out. I left with a bill under $150! He is the most honest and fair car repair service you can ask for. He explains exactly what is wrong and what repair he needs to do and what it will cost. No hidden "surprise" costs to drive the final bill up. I feel confident that if/when something larger does come up with this older BMW he will do the repair as economically as possible and do a quality repair. I will definitely continue to use Gus for all my repairs but I felt the other thing I owe Gus is to spread the word so others looking for a good repairman for their import vehicle can feel confident taking their vehicle to him! I highly recommend him with no hesitations! read more

Gus has always provided the highest quality service when working on my car. He is affordable compared to dealers and does just as good of work. He's a personable, honest guy that is always willing to take the time to explain things to you- nothing in the nature of trying to get you to fix unneeded things like dealers. All in all, i highly recommend bringing your car here. read more

I appreciate him and respect him and am pleased to recommend him to anyone looking for a top mechanic. Every success to you Gus - You deserve it. read more

If you own a VW, BMW, Mercedes, or almost any German Import you know the labor is very pricey, and you usually will have to take it to the dealers who try to rip you off 99% of the time. However, Gus's auto repair is a truly legit very very friendly and honest business. Guss is a very talented no 'B.S.' mechanic who straight up tells you what needs to be done to fix your vehicle and gives you a very fair price! I saved $500 when he repaired my VW Jetta, Bill Jacobs VW was trying to charge me double for the repair. So if you want true no 'B.S.' service that is friendly and quality for your import motor I would highly recommend Guss, his shop is the only one I go to now for maintainence. read more

Hands down will never take my cars to anyone else. I first met Gus on a whim...drove past his shop in my E430 quite a few times, noticing the specialization in Mercedes and BMW. I had already received a quote from the dealer for a $800 repair. Gus took one look under the hood and was appalled that they tried to charge me what they did. He made the repair in front of me in less than 15 minutes. From then on...and over the past 8 years, he continues to be the absolute best mechanic I have ever dealt with. Honest, knowledgeable, personable, fair, willing to go the extra mile. Like other reviewers have said...if you own a VW, Mercedes, BMW, or Audi (he now services my A6)....Gus is your guy. read more

I Asked Gus to do a PPI on a Mercedes 126 for me. Gus and his team did a most professional job, pictures and a write up were provided-i am from out of town. Gus and his team even called the workshops where the car had been serviced before and given that the car had had a partial respray located the paint shop which did the work. They went out of their way to help me out. I could not have asked for a more thorough and professional service. Thanks again, best $$ I've spent on a PPI. read more

With the cold winters approaching my original batteries in my BMW X1 needed to be replaced. I got a quote from the dealership but looking at OEM battery parts it didn't make sense the prices they were charging. I went to Yelp to roll the dice to find a local reputable mechanic and I luckily stumbled upon Gus based on other reviews. Every review was dead on and it's not surprising that Gus has a 5 star rating. He told me the job would take an hour and completed it before the hour. We also chatted briefly and Gus is a very approachable guy and I now consider him first for my car repair needs. Thanks Gus! read more

I have a Porsche Boxter and live 140 west of Naperville. I was having electrical problems and took my car to the local Quad City dealer. After two months of working on the car the dealer couldn't find the problem. Upon recommendation from a friend I drove 140 miles to have Gus take a look at the car. He quickly found the problem, repaired it at less than half the cost of the dealer. He spent time going over the problem and took photos to document the process. He went above and beyond! I will make the drive again to have Gus work on my Boxter and A4! read more

I recently bought a pre owned car and brought it here for new brakes and rotors. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know! read more

Highly Recommended! After ending my lease on a fully factory warrantied Jeep Cherokee, I replaced it with a gently used BMW X5 with 60k miles on it. About a year and a half into my purchase I began to have issues with my battery which BMW told me would be a ridiculous $650 to replace. I immediately began to search for a foreign car repair dealer and came across Gus Auto. Gus quoted me a price $200 less and I quickly made my appt. His shop is easy to find, nice and cozy with one of the most beautiful bathrooms I've ever seen in a repair shop. While my car was repaired, I kicked back with a cup of coffee and logged in to do some work. The repair was done within an hour and ended up costing $40 less than expected. This is where Gus has completely won me over. I was fully prepared to pay the original price quoted..... however, Gus was happy to let me know about the savings and reduce my payment. He could have easily kept the original price and pocketed the $40 bucks. This speaks volumes about his honestly, integrity, and customer service. Car repair men get a bad rap rightfully so but I feel so lucky to have found someone so close who has proven to be trustworthy. I hope I don't have to get my car repaired often but if I do, Gus is officially my go to guy. read more
