I arrived at my scheduled time, dialed the intercom a few times, with no answer. I called RA Cohen and reached the agent's voicemail, but no call back. After 30 mins of waiting outside, a cleaner let me in and I went to the unit. No one was there. Finally, Sakunthala Sankar emailed back saying the unit had been rented and the showing was cancelled. No prior notification. I had taken time out of work to go see the unit. Poor service and very unprofessional.

We've had zero issues with HRV outside of a small miscommunication with the broker we used to find the place(he was 3rd party and I'm certain just wanted his fee). In any case, the building is immaculate, and any time (very few) we needed anything they have always been incredibly friendly and extremely prompt in addressing. Anyone would be lucky to rent from them, in my opinion and experience.

Was told I could either get a guarantor, with all sorts of stipulations, or pay an extra month security...all over a PERCEIVED lack of $2000 in annual income, because of their antiquated freelance rule. Plus even though my income was clearly written on the app and confirmed by the papers I gave my broker, they still ran my credit. Then had the nerve to not give me the report when my broker asked, which is, at the very least rude. Save yourself the trouble and don't do it, or at least be prepared for a lot of hassle and money grabs.

In the past 7 years we've discovered that the top floor wasn't supported properly and was slowly SINKING, they put drywall over big holes in the basement foundation causing water damage and destroyed basmen, they used the wrong type of grout so our shower tiles are loose, the drains weren't sealed correctly so leaking behind the walls in the basement and they never installed a rain gutter. Just discovered our dryer vent isn't really vented outside. This is extremely dangerous! The repairs have cost us 18k and counting - be careful. - Update - You'll see a reply saying they don't flip or renovate houses but here's the deal - when we got our house a guy named Tom was working with investors from Masada Home Sales. So Masada had a group of investors that would help fund contractors to buy and cheaply flip homes and then help them sell them. So they're not being truthful.

He was very professional and always showed us courtesy. It was a very nice change to experience as a New York resident. Home is where you go to relax, unwind, & feel safe and undisturbed. He's a straight shooter- He's honest, polite, funny, and very professional. Also, big shoutout to Diego, who is their handman/super. When you live in or sublease a place for that long, little things need fixing every now and then. Like anything, an apartment needs maintenance and proper upkeep. Anytime something needed fixing or adjusting, Diego was always there in a jiff. It seems he can do anything, from painting to fixing door jams to swapping out lights to adjusting the a/c. He's a man of many talents! Oh and how could I forget, they had a team that would take the garbage out from our outdoor bins to the street each garbage day. That came in super clutch for me as I often worked late into the evening and was a late riser. Thanks again Oz and team- y'all rock!
