This was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a doctor. I went to him because I…read morethought my friend really liked him (turns out she stopped seeing him years ago, and that he never caught a degenerative disorder that another doctor said she had for years). If you want to be treated like a 2-year-old, this is the doctor for you. He yelled at me for touching the eye exam machine saying over and over oh my god, oh my god(I barely moved it) and when I apologized (and nervously laughed), he scolded me saying it wasn't funny and to put my hands down and not touch anything. During the eye exam, I tried to explain that with option 1 I saw two of each letter, but option 2 was blurry--but he cut me off and said he didn't want to hear explanations, just to pick. So now I'm out the money and don't even feel confident getting my prescription filled because of how the exam went. Now I have to go elsewhere and pay even more money to get a good eye exam. They tried to have me come back for a follow up 2 weeks later, of which the dr never said anything to me about, I canceled that, never going back. Don't go here if you want a friendly, compassionate doctor--you won't get it here.

I lost one pair almost immediately which was unfortunate but on a second visit, he replaced them for me and told me that now I needed surgery for my cataracts which I intend to do immediately. I highly recommend this Eye Care Center and Dr Brian Matuszak

I had to go to Buffalo Eye Care to see an Ophthalmologist…read more When I called to try to make an appointment asap, they were able to accommodate me even though they said the Doctor was booked solid. I spoke with a receptionist at 11:30 am & had to be there by 1:00pm . I got there a little early . They have a nice big parking lot, so that was a plus. Inside is very spacious. They have two doors, one to go into the ophthalmology department, and one to go into the eye care store, where you buy your glasses. They have really cool lighting inside, and the whole office plus store just looks really nice. There were three receptionist working, which was very handy because someone else was there before me being taken care of already, so I got to get taken care of right away as well. I got called into the back in just a few minutes, took an eye test told the nurse or technician the problems that I was having with my eye, and thankfully, it's nothing she hasn't heard before. That was a big relief. Then I had to go see the ophthalmologist. It was a short wait. He was very nice, very talkative, explained everything I needed to know. Give me an eye exam, a real exam with the lights in the eyes and the machine and all that stuff. And was able to diagnose what was wrong with my eye. He told me what was going to happen eventually, what was happening now, and what I would have to do in the near future. Explain things very well and in easy terms, that anybody can understand, thank God. Lol. Everybody was so nice there. I had to deal with two receptionists, one nurse/technician and the ophthalmologist, and they were all so friendly and so nice. The whole place inside is very clean and decorated nicely. They seem to have a large variety of glasses, way more than a place that I go to now has. I have to go back in a month, and I do not regret having to go back because it was a good experience. I would definitely refer anybody I know to come here for your Eye Care needs.

They don't have automatic doors or a handicap button which makes getting a wheelchair in and out of two sets of double doors, extremely difficult, and no one has ever offered to help but will just sit and watch us struggle. Dr. Gulati says all the right stuff like hello and have a nice day but his delivery and flat and unbothered. The place inside is clean and quiet. Hoping I can leave a better review at his annual visit next year.

Got my husbands contacts in December and the entire prescription was wrong. They told us they were going to call insurance and blamed them. We called insurance, they never called, and they ordered the wrong prescription. They refuse to got thru the insurance to resolve this, when all they need to do is fill out a form that was faxed to them. My glasses are definitely wrong as well, but I will go elsewhere to get them fixed. When we stopped in to try to get this resolved all they did was yell at us and tell our insurance company off, whom we had on the phone. Here it is mid January and still no proper contact. The minute I spoke to Sam about my dissatisfaction with my current lenses, he sat me down and measured both my eyes and lenses. He determined that the lenses were made incorrectly, set wider than they should have been by more than 3mm. That's the reason I was continuoutlay adjusting the placement of my glasses and turning my head when reading computer screens or fine print. Further, he described exactly how progressive lenses were designed, and how they could give me the maximum field of close-up vision vs distance that I needed. Finally, he helped me to understand how frame shape and nose piece can offer the most comfort. No one had ever taking the time and explained so well all the factors that contribute to well made lenses and good-fitting frames. I'm writing this with my new glasses -- which are more comfortable and clear than any of the previous eight frames that I've worn. And it certainly helps that Brighton takes my insurance, allowing me to get $800 lenses for $50.
