They had me at Caramel…read more I've probably been to this shop at least five times since they opened. When they first opened and I saw the name,I knew I had to check them out and as soon as I walked in and saw their goods-I was hooked. This shop is located in the Nut Tree shopping center, kind of by the Merry-Go-Round. So much parking available-though the lot does get busy on weekends as anyone who goes to Nut Tree knows. So this shop is a locally owned business-they only have one location and supporting them is truly the definition of supporting local small business. They make homemade candy. It's chocolate and caramel heaven. They have so much good stuff-chocolate pretzels,chocolate-dipped red vines, chocolate peanut butter cups, caramel apples,chocolate-covered caramel-dipped marshmallows, white chocolate, dark chocolate-it's overwhelming. I make it a point to stop here almost every time I drive through Vacaville to pick up a little something-in fact I'm going to Giants game tonight,I'm most likely going to make a quick stop before the game. It's that good of a shop-they get priority status whenever passing through their town. I feel the prices are still pretty decent as well. They also have a pretty good rewards program one can sign up for in their shop. I like that you can see where they are making the candy in the back of the shop-feels a lot more authentic. They make gift bundles for like graduations and birthdays as well. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this but their candy is delicious-so tasty, chocolate is so rich-you can definitely tell it was made with love and homemade recipes. In closing, I would recommend stopping by this shop if you find yourself at the Nut Tree shopping center and give their yummy candy a try-they are bound to have something you'd enjoy.

We went inside and sure enough, they asked if we would like hot chocolate. I was with my family so there were about 14 of us and 6 of us wanted hot chocolate. Since we were in there, my family started to browse... That's when I knew they got us. Lol. We ended up leaving with 1 Carmel apple, and more than 7 chocolate treats, from chocolate gummy bears, chocolate marshmallows, chocolate pretzels, chocolate Carmel squares, salted Carmel and more.. so much stuff that I couldn't even count. The staff was very friendly and helped out everyone with patience and got hot chocolate for everyone too. This is a great spot and if definitely recommend this spot to anyone that is looking for a sweet treat and a free hot chocolate!

I love the It's It Outlet!…read more It's really more of a grab and go sort of place. I've never been inside the store. Only walk up to the window to order and then leave. They sell many flavors that you don't usually see in grocery stores! If you buy more (about a dozen) they have a special price and give it to you in a box. Otherwise you should bring some sort of cooler bag. In addition to ice cream sandwiches they also have other snacks like popcorn and cookies. Some of the less common flavors include strawberry, pumpkin, coffee, and mint chocolate chip. Service has been great. If you want you can even ask for a random assortment of ice cream sandwiches. At times the parking can be a little limited since there's a popular brunch spot a couple doors down. But it's well worth a visit especially on warmer days if you're in the area.

A San Francisco experience since 1928 [Suisun City CA]…read more I've had this place bookmarked for sometime... IT'S-IT Ice Cream has an outlet in Suisun City, I did not know! We made it here 10 minutes prior to closing. There is a front door entrance but I'm not sure if they keep it open as in it was locked during business hours, we ordered through a sliding glass window. We chose a vanilla and chocolate IT'S-IT cookie ice-creams. These are so delicious and this is the kind of ice cream sandwich that's almost too intimidatingly thick... let me explain, first you'll find your teeth crunching into two dense, old-fashioned oatmeal cookies until finally you arrive at the smooth, indulgent ice cream in the middle. I had the chocolate. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind combination of both texture and flavor. Before you know it, it's all gone LoL! We wanted to buy more to take home but we were still an hour away (not considering any traffic we may encounter). We're bringing a cooler next time! LoL The factory is located in Burlingame in view from Highway 101 (you may also catch a Groupon deal at this location once in a while). IT'S-IT remains a cult-like favorite of all Bay Area natives and its loyal fan base -- generation after generation, right? IYKYK Review #3930

With several flavors to choose from, my indecisiveness drove me insane. Ultimately I ended up flipping a coin on a small size of 50/50 coffee and peanut butter cup. The cup sizes were deceiving. I honestly thought I would get nothing more than what the cup can contain and nothing passed its height. I was definitely wrong on that assumption. It was a generous serving in my opinion. As far as the Gelato, it was pretty damn good.

After trying it, I won't be ordering from anywhere else. Her tres leches is perfectly sweet and doesn't skimp on the milk! It is topped with whipped cream and strawberries. It comes in a 13x9 pan and is also available in individual shooters by the dozen. The strawberry pretzel surprise is sweet and salty, creamy and crunchy. The bottom layer is a crushed butter pretzel crust, then a layer of cool whip, sliced strawberries and topped with strawberry jell-o. Definitely as much as a crowd pleaser as the tres leches! I saw their booth at the SF International Chocolate Salon 2013, and got to sample a lot of their different flavors. I liked the Seaweed Caramel, Li-Hing Mui Caramel, Hawaiian Sea Salt Caramel, and Oreo Caramel (everything that I tried!), but the Bacon Caramel is what REALLY stood out for me, and I'm not even a bacon fanatic! The popcorn kernels are huge and fluffy, and somehow manage to stay really crispy even weeks after your purchase date (the expiration date wasn't for another few months). If you live by Walnut Creek or pass through here, Plumeria Flours should be a must stop if you like caramel popcorn!

Two weeks before the party, I called Fantasty Cakes to ask if they were available to bake a princess themed birthday cake for our little one. Thankfully, they were available and agreed to make the cake for us. Later on that same day, we stopped by to see and approve the model they had for the detailing of the cake. We agreed to bring fresh flowers in for the top of the cake and a gold crown cake topper we purchased. We dropped both items off the evening before our event. The princess birthday cake turned out nearly exactly how we wanted it. The style was elegant and they included a nice, sutle glittery sheen to the cake as well. The cake was moist, not too sweet (just how I like it), and was quite tasty. For the filling, we requested strawberries. Unfortunately, they included very little strawberries for the cake's filling. They did include a ton of fresh whipped cream more so than strawberries, which was disappointing for the amount of money we spent on the cake. Initially the customer service we experienced was pretty good. The staff seemed helpful and knowledgeable, even when we spoke on the phone. On the pick-up day, however, our multi-tiered cake was given to us in a donut box and not an actual cake box. That being said, the donut box was not closed around the cake, exposing it to the elements. My husband asked if they could place the cake in an actual cake box, but the worker said the donut box was all they had and handed it over to him. I'm very grateful for Fantasy Cakes being available to make my daughter's birthday cake on such a short notice.
