If you want a guitar, they have new or used guitars electric or acoustic. All price range and name brands. Plus, they have different rooms with drums, synthesizer, speakers, and part and accessories. Of course, no one is as bad as Music & Arts know for charging 100% more than usual for instrument repair and who always recommend un-needed rebuilds/overhauls so they increase my bill by 10x. Forte is a breath of fresh air. The owner is a current and former band parent in Mansfield who operates out of his home. Low overhead means low prices. And because he's not a large corporation, he's not looking to get rich off me. I pay $10 per pad replacement with next day turnaround repairs. Music & Arts charges 3x as much and takes 3-4 days to repair ... or longer. If you want to talk to the person repairing your instrument - something you can never do at Music & Arts or Brook Mays - you can do it here. If you like pushy salesman, go to one of the retail outlets. If you like excellent repair from a master-trained technician at fair prices from an honest to goodness real tradesman and artisan, this is the place to go. Highly recommend Louis at Forte.

What was not appreciated was the lack of clear communication and forethought on the part of Guitar Center. The registration for the meet and greet was a joke, it didn't secure you anything, was labeled a class and later we were told it was just a photo and sign appearance. Then when we got there, parking was not adequate, and we were only told after standing in line for two hours that they were going to do photos first and then form another line for signings after all the photos were taken. Oh and even though we were told he would sign personal items we were later told he would not be doing that. And they were sold out of his gear. I get that the idea was to get as many people through as fast as possible, but not cool, Guitar Center.
