I bought an instrument from them on Reverb…read more I even agreed to buy a used gig bag they had on their site for $20, since the electric sitar that I purchased didn't have one The next morning, an hour before the store opens, "Paul" tells me to hold off on buying the gig bags because they can't find the instrument that I bought! He suggested I put in for a refund. I was not going to be the one to break the deal and I told him I was not interested in a refund, I wanted the instrument they sold me and was bought and paid for. A short time later, Paul tells me they looked all over and can't find it and sent me a refund anyway. They had the instrument when they took pictures of it and posted it on a Reverb two months prior! It was an oddball Electric Sitar/Guitar Did they think it might be rare or a prototype? Did someone offer them more money? Did they keep it for themselves? Did an employee steal it? I asked them to check with all of their employees and any surveillance footage, sales records, etc. If I had a music store and an instrument was missing, I would be raising heck! Especially something already sold, bought and paid for by a customer! I will never deal with this place again and I hope that no one does. Do so at your own risk!

I bought a new guitar here back in November. It was an expensive guitar for me as I had never…read morepurchased something of this level before. Well, I had an issue with the guitar well after the return window and the folks here went above and beyond in helping to rectify the problem. I could not speak more highly of this establishment and I will be buying all my musical equipment and accessories form them in the future.

Seth, Nick, and the rest of the gang at the Music Techs are great. I would not trust my two Martin…read moreacoustic guitars with anyone else. They also did a great job with my strat repair, perfectly fixing a deep gash in the neck. One block from Manchester (NH) Music mill - it's the best place to get guitar set-ups, repairs, and maintenance advice.

It's a gamble with which Tech does your work…read more Seth the owner always does great work. I've been a customer for over five years If another tech does the work I'm usually having to bring the guitar back to compensate for the other techs work and asking for Seth to do the work Two months ago Brought in my J 200. Gibson , 2003 year of manufacture I picked up the guitar. Brought it home Instantly knew the set up was off and the tone was dead. Playability was off I Brought the Gibson back for Seth to inspect., to discuss why the tone was dead , playability was off, Seth noted aspects of the set up that should have been done and was missed by the tech that did the original work/ set up Seth acknowledging the set up by the tech was not right, agreed to complete the second set up himself on the J 200 Seth knew I was not happy with the set up , Seth noting there was certain aspects of the set up that was not correct, I was charged and paid the full price for the faulty set up. No refund of my money offered for the flawed original set up So. Now I'm getting a second set up done by Seth to fix / complete aspects of the original set up that was off on the J 200 I go to pick up my guitar after the second set that was done by Seth. I'm charged full amount for the second setup on my j 200.in addition to already paying full for the faulty first set up I figured with my initial set up Seth seeing and verifying there were aspects of the original set up that was not correct, I would not be charged for the correction set up , Nope. I was charged for the second set as well as the faulty initial set up I figured I might not be charged for the second set up due to the tech not getting it correct the first time and changing out my saddle without asking Nope. I was charged full cost for the second set up. Ok. It sounded great and was set up perfect Then I noticed on the work order for my second set up on the same guitar, invoice an additional 15 dollar charge for a service other than a regular set up that was added on in addition being charged twice for what should have been one set up, I was now being charged for a service other than a set up No buggy under a usual circumstance But with paying full price for the original flawed set up, then paying full price again for Seth to fix the original flawed set up, I was taken aback by the liberty of charging / tacking on extra for something that was not part of a set up and was not asked to be worked on Side note: when I went to play my guitar when I picked it up the second time, The reception gentlemen would not turn down the music that was playing through the speakers in the front shop where I was trying to play and hear my guitar that had just been set up, I needed to see if the set up was to my liking The reception gentlemen knew I was trying to hear my acoustic guitar as I tested out the set up on my Gibson. It was obvious I was trying to hear an acoustic guitar over the loud music. The gentlemen was totally disconnected and couldn't or wouldn't see I needed quieter volume to hear my acoustic The music playing in the shop was particularly loud on that day I questioned Seth on being charged full price for the second setup based on botched first set up and why I was charged an additional 15 dollars for an item of repair that was not part of a set up, Seth went into super defensive mode, Elevated aggravated voice and body language I stated my case as outlined above. He didn't want to hear my point of view I outlined how I was being charged full price for the flawed first set up Outlined I had to pay full price for a second set up on the j 200 because the initial set up was not correct Outlined how work was done in addition to my requested set up I let Seth know I didn't think I should be charged twice to pay for the first set up that was not correct As well as being charged extra for work on my guitar that wasn't requested and unrelated to a set up None of my points listed above were agreed to by Seth and he was aggravated by my questioning the charges The loud music cranking and no consideration of my self trying to okay my acoustic was another aggregator Bad experience on this date. I was really surprised after years of business I did at this shop I was treated this way As was mentioned in another review. When you bring your instrument th the music techs, just don't let any random tech work on the guitar. Find tech there that does good work and request that tech each time you bring in your instrument Too many times had I had to bring back an instrument when a tech other than Seth did the work Unfortunately this happened. I should have listened to my own advice and requested Seth to do the original set up and not take the chance of another tech working on my guitar Seth does great work. I would ask for him if you're getting work done on your acoustic.
