I bought an instrument from them on Reverb…read more I even agreed to buy a used gig bag they had on their site for $20, since the electric sitar that I purchased didn't have one The next morning, an hour before the store opens, "Paul" tells me to hold off on buying the gig bags because they can't find the instrument that I bought! He suggested I put in for a refund. I was not going to be the one to break the deal and I told him I was not interested in a refund, I wanted the instrument they sold me and was bought and paid for. A short time later, Paul tells me they looked all over and can't find it and sent me a refund anyway. They had the instrument when they took pictures of it and posted it on a Reverb two months prior! It was an oddball Electric Sitar/Guitar Did they think it might be rare or a prototype? Did someone offer them more money? Did they keep it for themselves? Did an employee steal it? I asked them to check with all of their employees and any surveillance footage, sales records, etc. If I had a music store and an instrument was missing, I would be raising heck! Especially something already sold, bought and paid for by a customer! I will never deal with this place again and I hope that no one does. Do so at your own risk!

We stopped…read moretaking lessons there in favor of something more local since we moved and as the old song says, you don't know what you've got till it's gone. The educators at North Main are not just well versed in music, but they're professionals. When we had lessons scheduled for 6:30, they started at 6:30...not 6:40 or even 6:50! The instructors knew how to make music FUN for our daughters- they practiced during the week and they couldn't wait until the next lesson. When we first signed up it was explained to us that if we missed a lesson for whatever reason that makeup lessons weren't promised, yet on the occasions that we did miss a lesson due to vacationing, sickness, whatever, they always managed to fit us in at another time. We tried two other places (that shall remain nameless) and the instructors were not in North Main's league. The owners didn't seem to care about anything but money. The kids were nowhere near as motivated or interested. Lesson learned: when I asked the kids if they wanted to go back to North Main Music one of them literally started jumping with joy. We had to wait a couple of weeks for spots to open up and everyone was delighted when we finally got the call. They even asked one of their students to switch time so that my kids could take lessons at the same time and the student was nice enough to agree. It now takes us an extra 20 minutes or so each way to drive to North Main Music but it's well worth it. Thanks, guys!

Ordered 6 individual strings to get custom gauges for my guitar, which I have done before and been…read morehappy with. This time, they sent me the EAD and b strings but not the g or the e. I wrote them about that and they told me they were backordered and would be sent when they came in, and they wouldn't charge me any shipping for those two strings. Like that was good customer service. But it's COVID, so, what are you going to do? I waited almost a month and wrote them back when I still had not received anything and got an 'excited' message back that they were getting a shipment in a matter of days and they would send them out to me first thing when they arrived. I waited another couple of weeks and followed up with an email asking for my my account with them to be expunged from their system since they had sent me 4 strings I cannot possibly add to my guitar and have them sound good with 2 old strings making up the full set, but instead they told me that they never got the strings they said weeks ago were coming and instead of letting me know, they forgot about me and I could easily go on their site and order two strings from a different manufacturer and I could get them that way. If they had told me before the first shipment that they could only send 4 random strings out of the 6 a guitar needs, I would have told them not to, but they were desperate, I guess, to get the $4-5 for the 4 strings rather than give me good customer service. They refuse to take back the 4 they sent me and advise me to have a hodge podge of different companies' strings on my guitar since THEY screwed up. I wanted to support a smaller operation and not go through Amazon, however, since they couldn't be grownups and reach out to me, they would only reply after weeks and weeks of not hearing from them, and could not do the right thing, so I ordered from amazon. Now my strings will be here in two days. DO NOT use them. Sweetwater or Amazon, unfortunately are the best alternative, but both have stellar customer care, unlike Just Strings.
