I bought an instrument from them on Reverb. I even agreed to buy a used gig bag they had on their site for $20, since the electric sitar that I purchased didn't have one The next morning, an hour before the store opens, "Paul" tells me to hold off on buying the gig bags because they can't find the instrument that I bought! He suggested I put in for a refund. I was not going to be the one to break the deal and I told him I was not interested in a refund, I wanted the instrument they sold me and was bought and paid for. A short time later, Paul tells me they looked all over and can't find it and sent me a refund anyway. They had the instrument when they took pictures of it and posted it on a Reverb two months prior! It was an oddball Electric Sitar/Guitar Did they think it might be rare or a prototype? Did someone offer them more money? Did they keep it for themselves? Did an employee steal it? I asked them to check with all of their employees and any surveillance footage, sales records, etc. If I had a music store and an instrument was missing, I would be raising heck! Especially something already sold, bought and paid for by a customer! I will never deal with this place again and I hope that no one does. Do so at your own risk! read more

I bought a new guitar here back in November. It was an expensive guitar for me as I had never purchased something of this level before. Well, I had an issue with the guitar well after the return window and the folks here went above and beyond in helping to rectify the problem. I could not speak more highly of this establishment and I will be buying all my musical equipment and accessories form them in the future. read more

Not enough adjectives to describe yet another remarkable experience today at The Mill, thanks to all interactions with staff beginning with Dylan and huge props to Craig for a more than fair price on a trade-in for my next guitar. There's no reason to shop anywhere else IMHO. read more

The music mill website clearly states we buy, sell and do trades with guitars. I took time out of my day to come in with a guitar I'm looking to part with, just to hear "we aren't buying guitars right now". Well then why does ur website say you always are? That's an hour of my life I won't get back. Half of the time this place is great, the other half is horrible. There is no middle ground. Figure ur shit out. read more

I gave Manchester Music Mill a quick call to inquire about the Ibanez RG4500DX-CFM & SR300E-CFM. Brennan helped me out and answered all my questions easily. The price on these limited edition guitars were fantastic for the value and he helped me with a super seamless and easy transaction online with them! It was great to buy direct from them too. The guitars were shipped out swiftly and very safely packaged. The guitars themselves were absolutely perfect with 0 issues and play beautifully. I highly recommend Manchester Music Mill for anyone looking for guitars! read more

Manchester Music Mill - Ibanez RG4500DX-CFM & SR300E-CFM - Musical Instruments & Teachers Near Me - Manchester, New Hampshire

I just found this place and it is every bit as good as most people write. I told them I was shopping to replace my current acoustic. I was directed to the acoustic guitar room and told to help myself to any instrument on the wall. Talk about low pressure. Later another MMM employee checked in and asked me how's it going. He proceeded to spend about an hour & half with me - even so far as hauling out a Martin D-41 that was in the warehouse. I didn't buy a thing, but that was OK. Folks at the register said come back any time. Seems like everyone there is both knowledgeable and kind. Renews my faith in humanity. I will be back. read more

Really great customer service. I was looking for a bass amp on their website and the one I asked for needed some repairs and wouldn't be available for a while. However, the sales person introduced me to something way better, 80 pounds lighter and gave me a great deal so it was only a little more than what I originally planned to spend. They know their stuff. read more

This place is miles above the rest! I drive almost 2 hours to deal with these guys. They've always made it worth the drive, always treated me more than fairly and I've never left the store disappointed. Thank you gentlemen!! I appreciate you all! read more

I came in to get a pick and extra strings, got to chatting with the amazing Marion at the register, who helped me find an Epiphone I'd seen on their website. She made things so very easy and I'm looking forward to coming back for another visit. read more

The people here are friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a great selection of new and used gear to fit practically any budget. They have everything from beginner to pro-level gear. Their prices are reasonable, and they offer repair services as well as lessons. The Music Mill has your musical needs covered. read more

Fantastic store with an unbelievable selection. If you play guitar, you will love this place. They also have a lot of live sound equipment, though that's not my thing so i can't speak to the quality or prices. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Prices seem pretty fair in general, about what you'd expect. All in all, this is a very professionally run operation, with a ton of great gear. read more

I bought a Marshall head at a good price and it turned up EXTREMELY well packed! It sounded amazing, but not long after, the Power Tubes failed. Manchester Music Mill were good enough to replace the Power Tubes since I'd only just received it, EVEN THOUGH it was second hand!! So, Marshall sounds amazing but sometimes s*&# happens after purchase... and they were amazing about the After Sales Service when it did!! So... Marshall sounds amazing again and I genuinely highly recommend Manchester Music Mill !!! read more

Worst customer service! Check out individual is curmudgeon mean and crabby's. The POS system stands for a piece of shit there's dirt dust everywhere including other girl individuals fingernails. Always a process. read more

Good overall experience. They were patient to discuss the product over the phone and matched a price on a guitar case. Will definitely do business with them again in the future. read more

I just can not say enough GOOD about his shop. It's always a pleasure visiting with the staff and taking in all of the amazing gear and instruments they have in stock. Ive never not found something that I must have. They are honest, helpful, competitive, giving and professional. Im not a great player, just love music and the opportunity to create/replicate the songs I enjoy. These people appreciate all levels of skill and will not make you feel as if you do not deserve being treated equal. The purchases I have made have proved to be great decisions. Thank you to all the staff and for years of great deals. read more

Middle aged guitar player here, playing since I was a teenager. I've lived, played guitar and shopped in NH, MA CT, NY, and CA. Been to Manny's, Rudy's, Mandolin Brothers, Elderly, Music Emporium, Gruhn, and McAbes over the years. This place is the best. Great selection of new and used, best prices in the country and a friendly staff. I always drive up to the Manchester Mill to buy and sell gear. read more

Especially love the selection of used guitars that comes through here...great service, excellent guitars, what else is there?

Went to see about getting the action adjusted on my guitar. Ended up buying a new one. Great experience! No pressure at all. Love my new Taylor! The acoustic guitar manager (forgot his name) set me up with several guitars so I could try them out, and answered the many questions I had. Very patient, and I didn't feel rushed. A really great experience. Highly recommend going there for any musical instrument needs. read more

Been coming here since it was in Morgan's storage. Everybody at Morgan's said Joe was making a buzz. Joe and the staff have done well by outstanding at customer service. Pro attitude, helpful, knowledgeable, fair and willing to work a deal. I moved away and still love going there. This is what a music store should be. I buy a ton of gear, play three instruments, love high end and bargain gear. They have it all! Weather you want wall art or a player they have it or can get it. read more

First amp had a lot of problems. A Mesa Mark IV wasn't repaired properly the first time. the second time I had to pay for the repair. Then I called and asked them to check out a Fender Supersonic for potential noise. I was told it was quiet on the clean channels and a little noise floor on the Lead channe. The truth was, I drove 70 miles round trip to try out an amp that had a lot of hum on the clean channels and a lot more hum when using the reverb. I requested a return call from the manager and never got one. They really couldn't care less. read more

I have now been coming here for just under 4 years and have built a good relationship with the staff (Jon and Eric, specifically). The only reason why I wouldn't go to Music Mill is if they didn't have what I was looking for, and that rarely ever happens. They've gone through multiple improvements: they've made space for an amp room, an acoustic room, have taken on multiple guitar pedal brands, and do regular spring cleaning sale events to keep their inventory fresh. The staff continues to be knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to deal with. Their used selection is second to none. You will find no fairer prices anywhere else in the area; their return policy (45 days, no questions asked) is pretty much the best I know of. Even with the arrival of Guitar Center nearby, with the way that Music Mill is being run and operated, they remain THE place to get your gear. read more

I contacted Manchester Music Mill about selling drums, and they said they were interested and made an offer. When I got there they said they didn't want them, only offering a very small amount for the symbols. Big waste of my time. read more

The Manchester Music Mill is exactly the music store to off-set local rivals Ted Heberts (which has gone down hill ever since the original owner passed away) and Daddy's Junky Music. The sales staff at the Music Mill really make the difference. They are helpful and not at all pushy, unlike those at the other two music stores in the area. read more

THRILLED to find this diamond in the rough! GC killed all the good stores by price, and now they are dying because of it.... :-) Music Mill is a VERY long overdue change from the past 5-10 years. Professional sales people that are courteous and not pushy, beginner to pro gear, reasonably priced.... Im thrilled to have found them.... As to the 'small new location' review; i imagine it had to do with cost... Which ill take tighter quarters anyday over a big open space full of crap i dont care about... Aka: 17 colors options for $200 guitars read more

I just picked up my electric after a set-up and restring and am very pleased. I've had a nylon string guitar restrung here, as well as another steel and the prices are very fair and work is superb. With Daddy's Junky Music going out of business it's nice to see a local business such as this one doing so well. There's a large amp selection, and a variety of new and used equipment all with solid prices. It's clear there is a lot of internet research/work done with pricing so I would trust that even the new buyer won't get gouged. read more

This is one of the best music stores I've ever been in. Great selection, friendly, helpful staff, extremely professional yet laid back atmosphere, without any pressure or hassle. The Music Mill would stand out in any major city but to find such a great store in a small city like Manchester NH was a nice surprise. It's very much geared toward guitarists/bassists, so if that's not your thing you might be a little disappointed. But if you are a guitarist you'll love this place. read more

Good selection of merchandise in this tiny amd cramped little space. A little disappointed with the quality of used gear. Understandably it's used, but some stuff was so beat up it should have donated to a school music program. In terms of sales staff, I have one piece of advice, let the customer play the instrument. After watching the salesman play guitar for 15 minutes, I left. The customer can only decide on a purchase after they actually hold and play an instrument. Crazy, I know. 3 stars is based off the fact that it's one of the only local music places around. But with an experience like I had today, it may not be for long. read more

The new location is so cramped. Hard to even browse, everything is so tight and if a few people are in there you cant walk through the aisles. Pros - Nice guitar selection. Some nice rics and gibsons in there. Good amp selection too. Drum room is decent. Cons - Pro Audio is a joke here. Also I asked a guy where the keyboards were, he told me in the acoustic room. I went in the acoustic room and they had 3 keyboards 0-o. ehhhhhh lol. Its really just a guitar shop that sells some drums. Not a real full fledged music store. Dady's always had a decent selection of keyboards, rack effects, mixers, drum machines, and other pro audio stuff. This spot is just good for guitars. read more

What a great experience I had there last evening. Extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful. I ended up with a great guitar, in my price range and they even took a guitar of mine on trade for a fair number. This is an outstanding operation with exceptional customer service. Best music store around. Great Product...Great Staff...Great Prices. They have a wide variety of new and used products. I've made a couple bigger purchases there and Music Mill has offered the best price. Don't take my word for it...Go there, see for yourself. You won't regret it! read more

Excellent Customer Service I recently purchased a new guitar from Manchester Music Mill. Before making the purchase I had shopped at several other stores in both Manchester and Nashua. Based on my experience Music Mill is the only store that has employed top notch experienced staff that know what they are talking about. They have an amazing inventory and take pride in what they are selling. (instruments are in tune and in a stored in a room with a good humidifier) They will go the extra mile to makes sure that you are making a good purchase. They are not pushing you into something just to get a sale. In fact, to my surprise they even demonstrated a few options to me that were several hundred dollars LESS than I was planning to spend! Great Job Music Mill! read more

I have contacted this store twice, once thru reverb.com and the second directly with a voicemail to their "web sales" voicemail box with zero reply. Makes you wonder why they bother selling online. Maybe the local buyers keep them busy, but as an online seller they are a "D minus" seller so far. read more
