I am a Very happy customer. When I described my piano experience and asked to see pianos that might work for me, Russ took me to the Yamaha Clavinova 745 to try it out. He then showed me other pianos. Russ provided No pressure and was very informative. In the end the first piano he showed me was exactly what I wanted. Had not expected to get such a wonderful piano at a great price. They delivered my piano two days later on January 21 2021. Friends and family are excited that I finally have a beautiful new piano. The one thing I had worried about was the feel and touch of the keyboard as I had grown up with a Steinway upright piano and had tried out digital pianos a couple years ago and the keyboard action on those was stiff. I am blown away by my experience at Darrell's Music Hall. My in laws were in town visiting and decided to buy my daughter a piano. We had visited a couple other piano stores but by far we had the best experience here. First of all, they were so patient and knowledgeable, as my in laws had lots of questions. They did not at any time gave us any pressure to buy or tried to upsell at all. On top of everything, they gave us a great deal and their service is top notch. It has been a great experience purchasing a digital piano(Roland HP-605) from this three-generation family piano store. The current owner K. C. is a very nice and experienced person. The son (future owner) Adam is very helpful and knowledgeable with the newest technical details. The unique part of this store is that it carries both Roland and Yamaha products so I can compare them side by side. Other stores I have been carry either Roland or Yamaha. This store also has very reasonable prices and the service is excellent. Adam spent a long time with us in store and delivered the piano. I am very happy with everything with this story. I looked for an upright piano for my son and I came to the right place. At Darrell's, they had different types of piano and we feel free to try and play. competitive price, good service. Adam - the third generation owner could answers all my questions and he even bought us to the warehouse to select our piano. I had been to the piano shops in Boston and Natick area, price not good and didn't feel comfortable to play piano. Darrell's location is in NH, it's tax free. I had shopped everywhere for a particular piano, and I have to say this place it the best piano shop I have come across in the entire country. Huge selection, really anything with 88 keys they had, and they actually let you play the pianos! I was shopping for a upright piano, and did get the one I was looking for at a great price. But what I was most impressed at was the service here. The manager went above and beyond what I had expected. He tuned and set up several pianos so I could play them side by side. I was also able to play a 9 foot concert grand among a few other pianos I have dreamed of playing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to buy a piano. I'm 62 years old and a new piano student, but not new to music as a woodwind player for over 50 years. I didn't want to buy an expensive piano as my skills are limited . Russ at Darryl's introduced himself and in the course of two visits a week apart made my shopping experience one of the best, most informative and fun that I've ever had in my life -- even though I was looking at the least expensive digital models. The pricing was very competitive with the best on the internet but the buying experience was awesome. How could anyone not shop here for a piano ?? On completion of the sale I asked Russ if he could give me a short demo on one of the beautiful grand pianos in the other room. He did so gladly. He's a fantastic pianist. For 20 minutes or more he played and between numbers we talked about the truly beautiful sounds emanating from those grand pianos. We had been looking for a piano for about a year, and had visited Darrell's Music Hall a few times. We weren't quite ready to take the plunge yet, but Adam and the other staff were always so patient with us, taking the time to teach us about each manufacturer and model type, and always letting us play each instrument and going into the histories of each piano on the floor. Not only are they incredibly knowledgeable, but they're also incredibly patient! After trips to other stores and looking at privately owned pianos for purchase, we just kept coming back to Darrell's. We finally decided to buy a beautiful baby grand. We received fantastic service from Adam and his team, from the purchase process through Adam helping to deliver the piano himself to our home.
