It is always a good idea to keep your investment pieces in good shape. High end bags need to be taken care of when used. I definitely love my Gucci bag enough to get it repaired where some others might resell, donate, or toss it. I've always had amazing service at this Gucci store in Costa Mesa. I actually bought a bag years ago in their pink and white canvas. This time around I was bringing my Disco Soho bag in for much needed repairs. You see, I really love my Disco Soho bag because it goes with everything. I've taken it to Greece, New Orleans, Mexico, and all around California. I really love this bag. So when it started to fray at the edges and the piping became damaged, I decided to reach out to Gucci to see if they would be able to repair it. The online customer service said that I could either send it in or bring it to the local store. I decided to bring it to the local store. The person helping me asked how long I had owned the bag. I said about two years but it may have been more like four years. Unfortunately for me, the warranty is about two years so the repairs would be out of warranty. I expected as much so I agreed for them to evaluate my bag for repairs. My information was input into the system and they emailed me every step of the way. My bag was going to be about a $400 repair. This is way less than buying a new bag so I agreed to the cost. You can always refuse and go pick up your bag. I was also told that the repair could take up to six months. Gasp! I also agreed to that. Once I paid the repair fee, my bag was sent to Italy to be repaired. I dropped it off the first week of January and I picked it up at the end of April. They definitely got it completed within the estimated timeframe. My bag was nicely packaged in a new dust bag and shopping bag. I took it out to examine the workmanship and it looks as good as new. I could still see the signs of use that I had put it through but the repairs were definitely completed. They did not clean it or anything but I didn't expect it since it wasn't part of the repair estimate. I totally believe that I got my money's worth and now I'm investing again in keeping it long term. I mean, I plan on taking it to Asia this summer to check off another destination. It needs to look good and outlast me. Thanks Gucci for awesome service. read more

During the pandemic, you're unable to try things unless purchased. So I paid over a link they provided and this item did not fit (Website was out of stock at the time of this item) .. Long story short is if you want to exchange it , return it , or not fully happy with it. They won't help you at all unless it's the certain associate/salesperson who helped you from the beginning. I wanted to exchange an item and when calling the story, they couldn't help me and instead I received a text from the associate who had first helped me. The associate, texted she was informed of me contacting the store and she would help me when she "return to work next week. " this happened twice.. This location shows lack of professionalism and lack of communication when you walk in, they say hi then literally turn their back on you. This location probably has the worst greeters and all you have to do is say hi and assist customers to a sales associate. I've been to Gucci stores across the country and also in Italy. Tip: Italy is my favorite then Rodeo and then Bellevue. However my sales associate is the complete opposite, she's very attentive and regardless how many items I want to look at her mood doesn't change or she wants to assist another customer. Ultimately, this location shows lack of respectful human interaction to the brand. Besides the sales associate, I usually get paired with a individual that is courteous. I've been in this store numerous times with the intent to buy something and walked out because no one would help me. I'd get greeted at the door then left to hold an item in my hand and had zero people offer to help or look directly at me. I tried to buy a pair of shoes four times between now and Christmas and decided that maybe it wasn't meant to be, my husband encouraged me to go back last weekend and I was finally able to buy them. Noe is absolutely amazing, his personality was very much like one of an old friend you haven't seen in a while but you immediately click when you meet again. That kind of person doesn't happen very often. As soon as I walked in to the women's shoe area Noe greeted me and told me he was there if I needed any help. Finally, it had happened, I was finally going to get these shoes I've been wanting for forever. From start to finish Noe was awesome, he wrapped my shoes and later sent me a follow up thanking me and providing me with his info in case I had any questions or needed help in the future. I felt fantastic for the rest of the day, Noe is the perfect example of how customer service should be. DECEPTION AT GUCCI I took my shoes for a repair on August 21 2021, the fact that a $800 shoe needs repair is already an indication of an issue. The Customer Care service was created on the same day, also on the same day I updated our information and received an email confirmation. I called in December and the answer was we are delayed due to Covid 19. I called in January and the same response. On February 1 the representative created a personal profile for updates on my shoe. After an unbearable wait I returned to the store and on March 19th 2022 and the so called Director Krissy told me the shoe had been ready since September last year and that they had been calling me. I showed her I never received a call and then proceeded to call my wife on speaker who was willing to drive to the mall and show the deceptive employee there was no calls or messages. The director then retracted and said we email the customer. I then proceed to show multiple emails between the store and I. I no longer will be purchasing items from Gucci and I recommend you to choose brands that respect their customers with honesty and integrity. read more

I came in specifically to buy a classic 1955 Horsebit wallet. Amanda was lovely and very helpful, pulling a few other styles just to compare. I ultimately loved the Horsebit best, and purchased it. This was my first Gucci purchase, so I completed my new customer profile by scanning a provided QR code. So convenient! I love my new wallet. When I am in the market for Gucci, I usually try and buy what I want at the Bloomingdale's Gucci boutiques, which are actual Gucci shops located within Bloomingale's stores and accept the Bloomingdale's charge. That way, you can easily rack up Bloomingdale's points which translate quickly into store credit which can be used anywhere in any Bloomingdale's department. Unfortunately, the selection at a Bloomingdale's Gucci boutique is not as vast, and some items are unique to the actual Gucci stores. In those cases, you'll find this Gucci to suit your needs quite well. Located in the 'luxury' wing at venerable South Coast Plaza, the store is huge, and looks nothing like most of the Yelp photos posted. Everything has been done over in red, sort of like a Westworld bordello. I found my salesperson (on December 23, 2016) to be knowledgable without being pushy. Free water bottles -- just ask. Those used to classic Gucci may want to steady themselves. Current Gucci designs are colorful and crazy, often imprinted with silkscreened designs on top of the classic "double g" logo that we know. What to get? For gents, you cannot beat the classic Gucci wallet - the last wallet most guys will ever buy. Not as expensive as you think, and it's just a nice thing to have. The clothing is cool but prices are out of this world. M'lady? Some bags (handbag or back pack) remain classic Gucci, and I think they're cool. A woman can accomplish anything with the right bag. Just today I came back with him to look for a backpack for school. I wanted to look for either Gucci or LV. I found a very cute black one, only around $2100, and the quality felt and looked really good. My boyfriend was looking at the cardholders and found one he really liked, so I ended up buying it for him. Our saleswoman was super friendly and was about to answer all our questions. I asked for her name but I completely forgot it. :( I never thought I'd like Gucci products, but I will definitely be back to purchase that backpack before I go back to school. I do not like going into designer stores because I always feel too pressured to buy or completely ignored by the 20 something SAs on the floor. Also, I prefer shopping online on may own discretion or at a department store so I can earn points. But there's always something magical about going into the Gucci store. The kitsch design is just so ironically fun, and the dressing rooms are amazingly large to try on clothes with friends. And the SAs are always thoughtful and attentive and the way they package your purchase is so meticulous that it is worth not earning points at Nordstrom. MY ADVICE: Just be nice. With my experience at this store, I have learned that if you want help ASK for it the moment you are greeted; otherwise, you will just be one of those window shoppers that they forget about because the store is surprisingly always busy?? Come into the store knowing what you want and you will be serviced immediately because you're a quick commission. Even if you know what you want, but you're not buying today, just ask to see it when you walk in so someone can help you to make sure that you'll make a good purchase when you're ready. They'll understand because $700 for a t-shirt or $2800 for a handbag IS ridiculous. And if you're just in to look around with no intention of buying, why are you mad? I purchased a pair of jeans here a few years ago. I just found them tucked away in my closet, which prompted me to write this review because they make me so sad every time I see them. I paid about $1,200 for a pair of jeans and have never worn them, because Gucci South Coast Plaza tailored them incorrectly, and chose to ignore me when I inquired about it. The tailor is a very rude man, who chose a very 'unusual' way to alter my jeans. All I needed was to bring in the waist, because the smallest size was too big for me. The tailor took it in at the butt seam, and told me it wouldn't be an issue and it would be an easy fix. I have never heard of altering from that area of any pants, and I am pretty well versed in that area. Turns out, his choice was part of the problem. I had to get it altered by them 2x, and I suspect they lost my jeans and 'estimated' the measurements the first time. When I called to check on them, they told me they didn't have my jeans there, and no record of the alteration, which was very nerve wracking. I get a call a few days later saying they had it somewhere else (very suspicious). I finally pick it up and realize they fit nothing like they did at the fitting, which tells me they eyeballed the alterations. He then said he could only take it in a bit more. I asked him to do what he could. When I picked up and tried on the second time, it felt as if he only took the waistband in, and no other part of the jeans. And to make it worse, he altered the waistband to be way too tight. I asked him to fix it again where and how I asked, and he said no, it wasn't possible, etc. I tried to contact the store directly multiple times, and went in person, just for multiple people to tell me they aren't responsible for tailoring issues. I thought if anything, I could trust a brand like Gucci, with their reputation and all, but there is no loyalty or respect for their customers. They still don't fit and I have no idea what to do with them because the alterations are so off that I don't think it could fit anyones body type. I paid $1,200 only because I wanted a really good pair of jeans that would last me forever and that fit me perfectly. I think this is truly the worst experience I have ever had in retail, and I won't be shopping at Gucci again. read more
