The worst experience ever! This store sells used goods. They do a bait and switch where they show you the product and take it in the back to "package it". It comes out in a box and all so you would assume they packaged what you saw. Turns out they replace the product with a USED product and then when you try to return it they say it was used. It's been a good decade since I've shopped here, & the same wonderful & engaging service has not skipped a beat. I was here on a Friday around 6P with a quick wait in line. After I got my temperature taken I was guided inside with a warm welcome by other team members. I did a quick look to my left & there was Dexter to my right offering his service. Not only did Dexter display unparalleled product knowledge & passion for the brand, but did so with a nonchalant demeanor. I was purchasing holiday gifts within a certain budget & Dexter was gracious & did not try to upsell me. However, his demeanor, presentation & mannerism made me want to spend more money with him as his overall mien was delightful. While I FaceTime my daughter for insight, Dexter joined in to showcase a couple of handbags with some relative suggestions. I'm huge on Associates aka Client Advisors going beyond the norm of customer service, even in a luxury retail environment. In addition to a wonderful shopping experience with Dexter, he confirmed a familiar face for me - Pam, who has been with Gucci for a few decades herself & still providing her amazing hospitality. I would rate the management at this location extremely poor. I was shopping for shoes last week and witnessed a very nice, hard working young man who appeared to be a new employee. He had no help in the department but was pleasant, and did a great job multi tasking. When he didn't know the answer to a question I asked, he called for management. When the lead came over, he was very rude and short with the young man. After the lead left, I asked the worker how much training he had. He said it's my first day on the job. As I looked around, I noticed the store was very busy and the workers seemed like they'd rather be anywhere but there . Is this the way people who are in admin positions should treat a new employee or any employee? Absolutely not! . This is a reflection of negligence on management and needs to be addressed immediately beginning with the manager of this location. Do better DICKS! read more

After my awful experience at Gucci located inside Neiman Marcus four days ago, I made a trip to the recently renovated store located at Phipps Plaza. The moment I stepped into the store, two staffs greeted me and that was definitely how service at Gucci (or any designer store) should be. One of them (manager?) asked if I needed help, I told her I was looking for French Wallets and particular the French Flap wallet. Clearly she understood the two words "French wallets" unlike those "Gucci" staffs at Neiman Marcus (read my review at Neiman Marcus at your own risk :( ) She led me to another staff Jane who helped me find that wallet with the store's handheld. The first staff also asked if I would be interested with those with a buckle in front. I just think wallets should be understated and classic. Just my personal preference. Jane found that wallet I was talking about as the store carries that wallet. Yay!!! She brought it out and I thought it kind of looked a little bigger than the French wallet I bought years back. However, that pebbled leather would probably proved to be more hardy than the smooth buttery gucci wallet I had for over a decade or my other new one from Bottega. I told Jane let me think about it and asked for her name card. When I was heading out of the store, the staffs who first greeted me thanked me for coming in today. I would definitely stick to coming here for all my future gucci purchases. Highly recommend this store and Jane to anyone who is looking to purchase any Gucci and wanted to be treated as a valued customer. PS. With all due respect, I have to disagree with a fellow yelper on his gripe about being stopped at the entrance. it is not uncommon for any designer store to limit the number of customers inside a store at a certain time especially when the store is busy or if it does not have enough staffs to cater to the number of customers. I walked in and no one spoke, so I made a u-turn and went to Chanel who had amazing service and then to Louis Vuitton who were also helpful. I have shopped at this Gucci store (and many others) over the years. This is a high-volume store and has continue to grow over the years. I believe the growth and customer loyalty is mainly due to the amazing customer service that I have already received at this store. I have had to use Gucci Care (located in NJ) for three Gucci items for restoration and repair, which is painfully slow and the customer service was very disappointing in regards to restoration. Yet, at that time the store manager at this location stepped in to assist. This store a very nice assortment for both men and women but is not as large and offers as much as some stores in Europe. The customer service at this location is horrible. I brought my belt in for repair and was told they would have to ship it out for service. The young lady seemed confused about the process and couldn't answer half of my questions. She told me that someone would contact me within 1 week to let me know if the repair would be covered by Gucci or if I'd need to cover the cost. After a week, I called the store when I never heard from anyone. The woman I spoke with Annie, could not locate my service request or item. She told me she would give me a call by the end of the day with the status. Literally 10minutes later, I received a generic email from the Gucci repair stating they just received my item and would be reviewing the defect and following up with me shortly. So basically, my item must have never left the Gucci store or ever been put into the system to be sent out for repair until I called to inquire over 1 week after I originally dropped it off. I got an email 6 weeks later stating my item was ready and available for pickup at the store or could be shipped to my home. I immediately replied and opted to have it shipped to save on the 45min commute. I provided my address and when I didn't get any confirmation, I sent a follow up email 4 days later. After still not getting any response or tracking information for my item, I called the store several times a day, during store hours, and nobody ever answered and the voicemail box is always full. This high end brand is not represented well by the staff and customer service at this location. I've shopped Gucci in other states and the service during and after the sale are amazing! I am writing this review for Gucci in Atlanta, GA. Before I arrived in the store, I was fascinated with the Gucci Men's Bengal Collection for 2017. I loved so much of the collection that it was hard for me to narrow the choices down to what I wanted. I finally decided on the Bengal Backpack and the Bengal Jacket. When I arrived, the store was quite busy, and then slowed down enough that some sales associates were free. I browsed for nearly twenty minutes and was not asked once if I needed any help. I thought this was honestly quite disappointing for a Luxury store such as Gucci. I had to ask someone for help. Not acceptable. Sales associate Nadia was helpful in assisting me with Gucci. I found the Bengal jacket, but it was two sizes larger than my own size. I asked if she could check for another size and she did. Unfortunately, there was only four left in the United States, and that was one of them. I reluctantly decided to purchase the jacket because I live in Asheville, NC and I didn't want to be inconvenienced with the hassle of locating another one in the United States for a store transfer. Gucci had nearly everything from the Bengal Collection, but Gucci did not have the Bengal Backpack I wanted in the end. To me, this was honestly very disappointing for a city as large as Atlanta, GA. I have a "personal shopper" here, yes....how that happened is one day I saw Janet Jackson......yes.....THE JANET JACKSON, SISTER OF MICHAEL AND THE REST OF THE JACKSON CLAN......with a certain Gucci belt on....I went into the store, all prepared to purchase the belt when Duwan told me in no uncertain terms would he allow me to spend $300 on a belt I could hardly fit around my waist and that Janet has a 18-20 inch waist...and that....well......I dont.....he and I became fast friends. Thus, I have a personal shopper at Gucci even though I probably purchase something from here once every 4-5 years at the most. Haha. I love when people that work on commission forgo their commission to say....OH NO...that looks terrible on you! When ever I stop in to browse, he always excited to see me, and treats me like I come in and drop thousands of dollars weekly. He is the most UN-POMPOUS employee they have in the entire store. The rest of the staff, with the exeception of the security guard act as if they are too busy to be bothered with you most of the time. Even if you are the only person in the store. Do not bother visiting this store on a weekend as you will spend hours standing in line. Gucci staff struggles with moving people along as the majority of shoppers are taking selfies inside the store and are relaxing on the chairs. The customer service representatives says it is the result of limiting the amount of people in the store, however, no seems to have an awareness that prolonged exposure to a customer place the staff at high risk to COVID. If you have 2 plus hours to waste, and enjoy people watching while wearing a mask, then Gucci Buckhead is your destination. read more

First of all, this is absolutely the most horrendous Gucci store one could possibly shop at. You go in and can essentially expect no sales associate come to greet and help you. Everybody in the store is touching and seeing the stuff they wanted and walk out with nothing because no sales are ever available. Second, I was looking at one particular handbag, and the security guard was alarmed. He approached me very unpleasantly, yelling that I wasn't allowed to to do what I was doing, which is simply examining a bag close up in a very careful manner when I couldn't get anybody to help me after being in the store for 30 mins. I feel embarrassed and discriminated against because that was what everyone else was doing in the store, self-assisting themselves. It's sarcastic that any customers would be treated this way in an upscale brand like this. I don't know if I appeared to be relatively young, or not looking like someone who can afford their merchandise. Either way, I was being offended. Then I walked out, but was regretting right after that I didn't exert my buying power and make him feel bad. I ended up going to cartier and purchasing a watch and a bracelet totaled over 13k. Terrible experience at Gucci Phipps Plaza Atlanta. Went in for a simple belt purchase for my wife. Walk in, not too busy but everyone acted like we were interrupting their standing around. Had to actually ask for help not once but twice after being ignored. Maybe they thought we couldn't afford their products? Found the belt we wanted, asked twice for a different size to try. Color we wanted not available. Salesperson didn't offer to handle online and ship to us or check another store, nothing. Shouldn't even refer to her as a salesperson, more of a stand around acting irritated person. Came home, ordered online and it was shipped free, 2 day delivery. How easy would that have been for her to handle for us?? Really makes me want to never buy Gucci again but my wife really liked the belt. Worst customer experience ever. I didn't feel confident that was happening so the next day I called and spoke to the SM. She said my salesperson wasn't feeling well that day (my problem?) and she'd check. Didn't sound as if he ordered it (but he could have) as she said again, we will get it from another store and be here in 2 days. Two days later I went into the store; they were moderately busy but not swamped and I waited & waited, along with another couple. We joked about the poor service as salespeople kept walking by and no one spoke to us. Finally I get one; shoes not in yet.....Day 3, shoes not in yet; sending store didn't send via 2 day. I purchased a purse in Feb 2021, in May the strap was coming apart, after countless attempts of calling the store and repairs department, I drove over an hour to drop the purse for repair. It seems for the price I could have been provided a pre-labeled box for return, but whatever. Over a month later I was texted my purse was ready for pickup. Again, another lengthy drive, when it could have been shipped to my home. I received my purse back on June 21st and as of today the body of the purse is peeling in a few areas. I have tried reaching out to the Phipps location to no avail. I have tried the repair line which has a "full voicemail". Which has been the case since my original attempt to contact them in May. At this point I have a purse that seems to be a lemon, but I'm unable to reach anyone. This horrible customer service and given the high end brand I expect so much more! read more

They were very helpful and didn't judge me even though I walked in there with a shirt made of plastic bags and shorts with holes in them. They treated me like I was a true shopper (which I was) I think as soon as I pulled out my wallet they started to offer me more service to entice me to buy more of their merchandise. It makes me feel like my purse isn't mine, like I don't have the authority. I am 4 hours away in Charlotte, how can I ask my brother to drive 4 hours there and 4 hours back to return my purse. He spends soooo much money in Gucci, half of the family this year got Gucci gifts, thousands and thousands of dollars, and now I can only swap the bag for something else and I feel like I'm being pushed into getting a Gucci purse. We went into the Gucci Store @ Phipps on the 31st of July and purchased a Belt that have been wanted for a LONG time. It was paid for with a Gift card (Visa) $250.00 and the rest in cash. Got the belt home, and tried it on. The Buckle was large enough that it hurt. We took it back in 13 days, with all the packaging, NEW condition, the bag it can in and the Receipt. They would not refund what was on the gift card, only the cash part. They would only put the $250.00 back on the ORIGIONAL Visa card. As you can see, we do NOT have this card any more. They used up the whole gift card and then threw it away. Which I was fine with. They would only let me get an instore gift card or spend it on something I wanted TODAY out of the store. I feel this is NOT the right thing to do. I would expect this out of Walmart. Their prices are high but their class has a lot to be desired it seems. I want my money back. read more

Customer service at this location is simply NONEXISTENT! My fiancee scheduled an appointment online and we received a confirmation email that informed us that someone would call shortly. Never receiving a call, I attempted to call and confirm my appointment before arrival. A customer service representative answers that assists callers from all Gucci locations and not just one specific store. The process is to have the manager of the store to call you within 24 - 72 hours. Needless to say, no one never called so I showed up anyway. The staff was friendly, however, they appeared to be unconcerned about the mix up and assisted me in spite of. I purchased a belt that was not available in the store, however, the associate named Vincent said he was going to order it, it would be in in 5 to 6 days, and he would call when the belt came in. Well that was February 26, 2022 and I still have not heard a peep from Vincent! I called a few days before going back to the store to follow up on my belt. Same experience, a promise to call within 24 - 72 hours and no one never called! I finally went to the store in person to discover that while the belt was fully paid for, my order had not been fulfilled by the associate named Vincent. The entire experience has been a huge disappointment! I had to purchase a back up outfit for an event due to the incompetency and disregard for customers and the lack of service provided to Gucci customers at Gucci Boutique at Phipps. I will never again shop at Phipps Gucci Boutique and I recommend the same to anyone interested in being treated with the level of dignity, sense of urgency, and regard expected and deserved from service providers at Gucci. My daughter saw this backpack a month ago and really took a liking to it, so I thought it would be fitting to surprise her with one on her birthday. Well at least that is what I was thinking and according to the web site advertisement Gucci will ship items your purchased within 24 Hours if requested within the U.S. and its free, to include gift wrapping. As stated earlier, I ordered the backpack on the morning of Feb. 5, 2018 and was informed by the salesmen I would have the merchandise by tomorrow afternoon, just in time for her birthday. Later on at approximately 3:30pm I received a phone call from the salesmen informing me that according to his manger, he could not overnight the backpack because I had to physically purchase the item in the store vs. on the phone. I felt cheated, heartbroken, and most of all I'm thinking about how my daughter is going to feel. I was then informed that it would take an additional 4 days for the delivery and he is sorry for destroying my daughter's birthday. This store is awful. My husband bought me a belt for Christmas, but it was on back order and they kept cancelling his order. We had to call around and find a store that had it, and it happened to be the Atlanta location. Once we received the belt, we realized it was not the style we expected. That was a month ago, and about 3 weeks from the day we received the belt. I have been trying to get a hold of someone at the store for a return slip, since we do not live in that state, and I haven't been able to reach anyone. There are plenty of Italian brands that represent that service as well as the product to do business with. I will choose another. If Gucci even cares I would fire every employee in this boutique and start over. These people are the most useless employees anyone could ever have. Absolutely terrible. read more
