Games before lunch. Loteria.

So we had decided on lunch by the waterfront, but it didn't work out. Checking Yelp this restaurant appeared nearby and seeing the name and pics we were drawn like a moth to the flame. If you don't have the cash to travel to Guatemala and taste the amazing cuisine there, may I suggest that you make a stop here when traveling along the Northern California Coast. We couldn't help but order a little of everything on the menu and share it all around. The hot chocolate (champurrada) is amazing. The Guatemalan tacos, plátanos, tostadas, atol de elote, fresh tortillas, etc, etc, were to die for. Don't think about, just go! Great service, great food, full stomach.

This was a birria quesadilla but they call it pizza. It was okay...

The young girl serving us was very kind and great. The food was okay. The garnachas were very hard, and these are my son's favorite therefore, he only ate 3 and left the rest. I got a burrito I didn't like it... My other son got chilaquiles with chicken but the chicken wasn't good... it was okay but not the best Guatemalan! I've tried better..

I tried the garnachas and Jalapeño pupusas. They were sooo good! Also, the agua de mango is delicious as well as the fried plantains.

My partner and I just got done eating at Guatemayan Yum Yums after a gym session and oh my! It hit the spot. We shared an order of garnachas and a mix of pupusas (jalapeño con queso, chicharrones con queso, revueltas), as well as a Famosa lager and a champurrado. The service was great and everything was delicious. We highly recommend giving this place a try.

First time trying Guatemalan food and it didn't disappoint. The food was full of flavor and just amazing to taste. Would definitely come back, service was nice too (:

I ordered the Garnachos for delivery. What a joke. I will not be ordering from them again. The restaurant needs to figure out how to package this order better.

My partner and I have gotten dinner to go two days in a row and I only managed to take a pic of one food item, we immediately devoured things before I thought to take a picture but luckily reordered and I remembered to get the garnachas captured. Absolutely delicious. I'm so stoked for great food made with love. We've tried the pupusas de frijoles y queso, arroz con leche, fresca (piña AND strawberry), tres leches cake, fried plantain, and rellenitos. My only disappointment was I which the rellenitos were a bit mushy, I expected more of a crispy fried popper texture.

I'm glad we stopped by here for dinner, the food is soo good! The pupusas were made fresh, hot and not too greasy.

This restaurant has great authentic Guatemalan food. The ladies working there make everything from scratch and it's very homemade tasting. You can tell it's made with love.

Tasty food and plenty of seating. Might take a little while for food to be ready but it's a nice no rush place to dine

I just throw in some beans and rice and lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole. I mean, who puts lettuce in a quesadilla? To top it off, there was no silverware or napkins in my to go order. The taste is OK.

I'm still all about the chile relleno burrito so the last time we went I ordered one with carne asada and it was literally the burrito of my dreams. This time when we went inside I noticed a hand written sign above the cash register that said "The Raliberto" which was basically my chile relleno burrito plus carne asada, so I ordered it. I cut it in half, took a picture this time and noticed it wasn't the same, it had cheddar cheese instead of that delicious white cheese the relleno comes with, and I don't think the poblano was battered and fried, it was just a plain pepper that was stuffed with cheese- it was still very tasty just not the burrito of my dreams. I'm thinking since it was a special, they may have run out of the regular rellenos or perhaps they were cutting costs but next time I'll just stick with the regular chile relleno burrito. We also picked up an order of their other special, carne asada rolled tacos, which definitely don't need the added carne asada because guacamole is all them tasty suckers need but we snarfed it all down. I don't know when we'll be driving through again but this is a really solid spot that I'll always think of fondly.

That was me, driving home, stomach making questionable noises, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw it--Patino's Mexican Food. A little food truck, parked like a hidden gem, just waiting to be discovered. Now, here's the thing: I had never stopped at a food truck before. Not once. But something about this one--maybe it was fate, maybe it was hunger-induced bravery--made me pull over. "Alright, let's do this." I walked up, scanned the menu, and like any self-respecting fan of Mexican food, I zeroed in on my personal favorite: chorizo street tacos. Three of them. Because one? Not enough. Two? A warm-up. Three? Now we're talking. They handed me a pager, and within 10 minutes--before I could even contemplate my life choices--I had my hands on a cup of homemade horchata (which, let's be honest, is like the nectar of the gods) and my three glorious tacos. Now, I had to document this moment properly...

The day I was there one lady was working both the store and the taco truck. It took a few minutes for her to come out. I ordered two tacos, a Carnitas, and a lengua. (Tongue). There was a small upcharge for the Lengua. For "street tacos", they were huge! Both the Carnitas and the lengua had very decent portions, and they were both tender and delicious. The tacos also came with a pico de gallo that was delicious, and was not very spicy. You can also get spicy hot sauce on it if you want instead of the pico. It was about eight bucks out the door. When I first paid, I thought that was a bit expensive. But then when I saw what I was getting? It was well worth it. I will be back. Thank you.

Go with it first thought and just pass. The bakery smells great when you walk inside but the pan dulce is hard and dry. I really wanted to love this place sadly left confused.
