Clam chowder bread bowl, Dungeness crab sandwich, rock crab and shrimp sandwich, cucumber lime Fresca, and strawberry cream soda

The food was amazing, crab tasted fresh. The owner welcomed us, explained his menu, and gave recommendations. He made our food and check on us while eating. There were inside and outside tables right on the corner of the street with plenty to look at.

Fresh Dungeness crab is only on the top, inside is a crab salad, deceptive.

Disappointing, considering this was supposed to be one of the better crab sandwiches by pier. Main issue is the false advertisement, we paid for the more expensive Dungeness crab sandwich which is around $25 compared to the rock crab sandwich ($17-19). At first glance it looked like the sandwich was packed with fresh Dungeness crabmeat, but once I took a bite I realized that they literally put the Dungeness crab on top where it was visible but the inside was literally all rock crab & shrimp mix. If that was the expectation they should've made it clear, it's deceptive and false advertisement. The flavors itself were alright and I prefer this butter roll more compared to the sourdough bread other stands offer, but that kind of deception is unacceptable.

Came here for the crab roll and stayed for the lobster roll! Both were delicious. An indulgent lunch but a refreshing treat every once in a while and the thing to taste if you visit the Wharf.

My son and his dad love clam chowder. They ear it anywhere they can but this spot has been their number one forever. Our fam has been stopping here since before he was born and now, bc of his clam chowder addiction lol- we find ourselves stopping here often. It's right outside the old ( previously cliff house) penny arcade- so my son loves having a little clam Chowder here prior to the arcade. Clean, nice tables and chairs for a quick bite. Friendly service, very good prices, we walk here but if you drive- Tom's if parking garages and a lot.

Nasty service with nasty food... don't come here

Nasty service and nasty food, was told we couldn't sit there cause we didn't buy enough food... bought a soda and no one else was sitting, why couldn't I being a paying customer ?!?!?

Great service, everyone that works here is so nice!! All the food was super good and fresh best spot compared to the ones next to it

Green goddess lobster roll, Dungeness crab roll, Rock crab roll on Boudin buns

Loved everything I tasted: crab louie salad, the Dungeness crab sandwich, green goddess lobster sandwich, and the crab and shrimp seafood cocktail. Everything was super fresh, nicely presented, and had clearly been prepared very thoughtfully by someone who cares about making great food. This is exactly the kind of fresh seafood I always wished I could find at Fisherman's Wharf. So impressed by their newly refreshed menu. Don't miss the house-made Italian sodas, especially the lemon-almond. Can't wait to come back.

Guardino's is a can't-miss stop every time we're in San Francisco. After picking up a fresh loaf from Boudin, we always swing by Guardino's for a pint of their incredible clam chowder--and it never disappoints. The chowder is rich, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of hearty goodness. It even comes with small pieces of sourdough, making it the perfect pairing. The service is fast and efficient, making it ideal for a quick snack while you're exploring Fisherman's Wharf. Whether it's your first visit or part of your regular routine in the city like it is for us, Guardino's chowder is absolutely worth the stop. Trust us--if you're in San Francisco, you won't want to miss it.

The service was better than the food, but the food was not good. Definitely not fresh with empty boxes laying around on the floor that say frozen crab on them. Everything came out cold -- clam chowder, crab sandwiches, etc. If you like your $17+ food/seafood dishes that way, then you'll like this place. The cherry on top is the service fee added to your receipt for your enjoyment.

Dungeness Crab Cocktail. A Layer of Rock Crab mixed with Mayo then topped with Dungeness Crab mixed with Green Onion.

I have subscribed to other CSF and Sea Forager is by far the best. I have a "Neptune's Delight"…read moresubscription for 2 people every other week. I love the packaging, and the fact that fish is on ice rather than surrounded by those frozen plastic packets (which end up in the landfill). The fish is packaged in environmental "friendly" bags rather than in plastic. They also deliver at the beginning of the pickup period (i.e. The pickup range is 3:30-8pm, and it's at my pickup point at 3:30). That is different than other CSF who deliver sometime within their published pickup period. Now about their seafood. It has been nice to get clean cut fish, not something that looks like it was hacked from a larger fish. Everything is fresh. They send you an email letting you know what you'll receive. They also have recipes. The last item I received was 4.5 dozen mussels! I look forward to doing business with them for the foreseeable future. Just an aside. My daughter took a sea foraging tour with Kirk in 2012. She raved about how knowledgeable he was and recommended him to me. I, unfortunately, did not follow through. I found Kirk just by chance when the person whose home is used for deliveries asked, on NextDoor, who might be interested in a fresh fruit CSA. I'm glad I did.

Totally sold on them after a 4 week trial. * Seafood is SOOO…read morefresh. You can taste it. * I get to learn about how fish is caught, who caught it and how to cook it. I feel like I'm learning about the sea and the food, which is awesome. * Bonus that it's family run, they're super friendly and well meaning, give you great flexibility and they're funny too and down to earth * Super easy to order and trial, lots of pick up locations. Summary: can't go back to eating WF/Molly Stones/Costco fish no more. Uh uh.
