This review is for the tire shop…read more Last week while on route from Chicago to Travers City MI, about a 6 hour trip, we discovered a huge gash in the sidewall of one of our Bridgestone DriveGuard tires, about halfway through the trip. These are run-flat tires designed to be driven up to 50 miles with no air at all. As a result, cars fitted with these tires are not outfitted with spares, nor do they contain spare tire compartments. The problem is, this modal tire is not usually readily available at most tire shops. Because the tires were purchased from Costco, we phoned the nearest Costco warehouse about 42 miles away, in Granger. The technician, Spencer, who may have been the shop's manager, informed us the tires were not in stock, but offered to phone nearby tire shops to locate one. Mind you, the shops he called were not Costco shops- they were independent. About 20 minutes later, Spencer phoned back to inform us they had located and purchased a tire from one such store. The gash in the tire was quite severe so we decided to have it towed by Dustin from Grand Beach Towing (review to follow). The tire was subsequently mounted, and we were on our way. Best yet, because of Costco's Roadside Hazard warranty the tire's cost was about 23% of its full price. I really appreciate the good and hard work Spencer put in to secure a new tire for us. I doubly appreciate Costco's Hazard Warranty. They really are the best.

The grocery shopping and customer service was good until it was time to order a pizza. The guy that was making the pizza didn't have good customer service. For reason he kept skipping me for my order kept serving other people that were after me. As I tried to be nice asking him if he knew how much time he had a rude attitude and answer. Unfortunately he didn't have a name tag but he was African American and making the pizzas.

I am sure there are some savings to be had buying online here if the customers are aware of their responsibilities and of how the process works. I wish the website was a little more detailed in their offerings and would specifically state the size tires offered and a blanket statement communicating RVs and Heavy Trucks are not part of the program. I've used Tire Rack going back at least 20 years. Unfortunately, Tire Rack is now scamming…read moreconsumers using Discount Tire as their cover. Discount Tire owns Tire Rack. I have used Tire Rack tons of times to have tires drop shipped to local places to be installed. Not so sure I'll do that again. Case in point: last Wednesday, my husband goes to Discount Tire to buy 4 OE tires. Guy says they don't have anything like that in stock and a Toyota Hybrid is kind of a picky car for a different tire, so my husband asks what would I do, as he feels like he's just being upsold tires and being pushed around. He's tired, and it's late. I order them off Tire Rack for $596 with installation at Discount Tire that Saturday, feeling proud of myself. Whoops, too soon. When we go to have them installed Saturday, Discount Tire seems mystified re why we had them shipped from Tire Rack and why we bought them from the Tire Rack. Turns out they DO have them in stock, and with installation, it's $447--$149.00 less for 4. Wtf? I contact Tire Rack and they write back, "oh, sorry, we can't refund difference." Contact Discount Tire, and they're like oh, sorry." Not sorry--I want the $129 difference in price of tires refunded (actually, I'd like the entire $149 refunded) Is this just a "let's play a switch and bait game with the consumer" or what? This does not instill trust in either company, and certainly not in Tire Rack. I doubt I will order from Tire Rack again. They are better than the Toyota dealership.
