Dessert fried ice cream
Leticia P.

We were excited to go back since it's been a couple of years however this visit didn't fair as well. Drink ok - El burro - Silver tequila, lime juice and ginger beer served in Moscow mule type of mug. (Forgot to take pix) Service ok not as good as first experience; had to ask for water to be filled. Appetiser sombreros were pretty tasty as so was frozen ice cream dessert. However entrees not so much; enchiladas were small and I didn't like the taste of any meats or sauces. Carnitas extremely small portion of meat (looks like a half order-check out pix when food arrived). It'll probably be another two years before we go back for entrees; may returning sooner just for appetiser and dessert only.

Guadalajara Grill in downtown Fernley

We were in Fernley and it was Cinco de Mayo. And lunch time. So, not a tough decision. I absolutely love this place! It's authentically cute, charming and delicious and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It is a hidden gem (or not so hidden since it's super popular) for sure. The street tacos were on special for the day, so my friends had street tacos and I tried the veggie tacos. Along with the tasty chips, salsa and cervesas it was an absolutely perfect meal.

We stopped here on our road trip and we're super happy with our choice to come here. To think I almost ended up with fast food back in Sparks. I always set up my expectations as to how the food will be based on the horchata and that was really good so I was hoping to now be disappointed. I wasn't that hungry so I ordered 3 street tacos: shredded beef, asada, and adobada. I also ordered a side of beans and ask for a side of the Diabla sauce, which was supposed to be hot! The beans come with some crumbled cheese on top, which made me happy. The diabla sauce was slightly sweet and was not spicy to me. The salsa on the tacos were actually spicier which I found interesting. The street tacos are the usual small tacos that have 2 layers of tortillas, choice of meat, onions, cilantro, and salsa. I liked each of my meat choices. My favorite was the adobada. I also tried some of my boyfriend's chile relleno and that was good. Loved the sauce on top. Friendly service. Clean restaurant and bathroom. Overall, probably a 4.5 but more towards a 5 than a 4.

Veggie tacos rice and beans

The staff are always top tier , the chef was very accommodating to my husbands corn allergy and made us flour tortilla chips so that we could enjoy the tres amigos dip together, we had tacos also on flour, we were lucky and got here early right before the rush so it wasn't packed as usual, food was excellent, staff also fantastic

My husband always gets a carne asada burrito and he likes them best. I also like their sopas. Food is delicious. They also have a great meat market and grocery store that carries quite a bit, but it's not a full-fledged store. I've only bought beef and chicken taco meat, and chorizo (which is actually pork meat and doesn't contain innards).

This came up, and I was excited to see it was in the newer shopping center which is a great stop either coming to or from Fallon. My coworker and I ordered two chicken tacos, which were perfect, plus one of the best horchatas. All about $15.00. The second time around, same scenario stopped for a work lunch. I wanted to try something different so I went with the quesabirria tacos. First off, the cashier was too busy chatting it up with his friend to help those of us in line. There was a lot of staff walking around making it feel like we were in the way. The horchatas was amazing, but the tacos themselves had parts of fat (which is the worst for me). On the plus side, I saw they had single chocolate mazapan (as I previously saw a large box of them). My coworker and I enjoyed the treat. I might consider going elsewhere for the next Fernley/Fallon visit.

Late post 7/22 - lunch…read more We frequent this restaurant from time to time and are usually served by Rufino, who is absolutely amazing. On this visit, however, Genaro was our server, and he was just as friendly, attentive, and funny. He made our lunch even more enjoyable. My friends hadn't been here in a while, but we all left happy with our meals. We each ordered one of the lunch specials: the taco & enchilada combo, the chile relleno, and the tamale & taco combo. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I also like taking advantage of their drink specials, and my family never skips their delicious cheese crispy appetizer--it's always a favorite! If you haven't been here yet, it's definitely worth a visit. Whether you're stopping in for lunch or dinner, it's a great option with good food and friendly service.

I said then that I would gladly drive from Reno to Fernley any time I had an excuse to come here. Today, a different friend handed me an excuse. Two bites into her chile relleno she (a professional chef) looked up at me and said, "Oh, yeah!" The the people were nice, the dining room was very clean, the ambiance cheerful, (tables and booths), and the restroom spotless. I'll be back!

How do you say delicious in Spanish? DELICIOSO!!!…read more A small walk in snack facility in the heart of Fernley, 150 E Main Street across from the fire department. Fresh, delicious and family. My family was out of town. Girls night! What do you want for dinner? Mexican Snacks was recommended months back. What a better opportunity. Less than 15 items on the menu. The 2 items I tried were incredible. Elote- fresh long ear of corn slathered in mayonnaise, cotija cheese, lime juice and chili powder. The best dinner ever. Brought back wonderful childhood memories. Fruit salad-apples, bananas, strawberries, cantaloupe, shredded coconut, pecans tossed in a sweet cream. The name of the place doesn't describe what's inside. Although true, they are Mexican Snacks, these are not JUST Mexican Snacks but definitely delicious snacks for everyone! A must try for anyone. So, when you are hungry and don't know what you want, stop here and give them a try. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, they'll help guide you through the menu. At what point do law enforcement, the Fire Marshal, or another local authority need to step in and address what is happening at this Taco Bell? If there is an actual emergency at nearby businesses, police, fire or ambulance won't be able to respond because of this chaotic traffic jam their drive thru is causing. It's like a game to this staff, it's like they're trying to do this for fun. I'm sure they're not doing this on purpose but on the other side of the coin, read all of their recent reviews, it sure looks like a game to them. On the evening of October 1, 2026, I spent approximately two hours trapped in the drive-thru at the Fernley Taco Bell. I understand that 8:00 p.m. is part of the dinner rush, so I expected some delay. What I did not expect was a situation that became so disorganized that, in my opinion, it created an actual public-safety hazard. When I finally reached the speaker, I was told that the restaurant was not accepting cash or card payments and that customers could only order through the Taco Bell mobile app or DoorDash. There was no sign or warning before entering the drive-thru explaining this. A simple sign stating, "Mobile and DoorDash orders only -- no cash or card payments currently accepted," could have prevented much of what happened. Instead, customers continued entering a drive-thru they effectively could not use, and once inside, there was no practical way to leave. The backup became enormous. At one point, the line extended toward AutoZone, while a second line formed across the street into the Grocery Outlet parking lot. Cars were blocking the street completely. The two lines essentially formed a "Y," with drivers competing to merge into the same drive-thru. What a nightmare. During the roughly two hours I was stuck there, I personally counted at least four near-collisions behind me, cars honking and witnessed one road-rage confrontation where the 2 lines merged into 1. Traffic flow was being blocked, people were trying to get out, but blocked by other impatient people protecting their spot, drivers were becoming increasingly frustrated, and customers who finally reached the speaker were furious when they learned that normal payment methods were not being accepted. Several people were yelling profanities at the employees. I actually felt bad for the employees dealing with that situation. If employees truly are not permitted to put up a temporary sign warning customers, then management or corporate policy needs to change immediately. If they simply chose not to warn customers, that is even more concerning. Either way, the result was the same: a restaurant's drive-thru problem spilled into surrounding traffic and created what appeared to me to be a legitimate safety issue. I will also accept responsibility for staying in line after realizing something was obviously wrong. I had just finished a stressful day at work, really wanted a Mexican Pizza, and kept thinking the line would eventually start moving. That was my mistake. Unfortunately, this was not my first strange experience at this location. A few months earlier, I went there for breakfast and the employee at the speaker politely told me, essentially, that she was not ready for a customer and suggested I go to Burger King instead. She was polite about it, but the situation was so unusual that I remembered it. After what happened on October 1, however, this has gone beyond simply being poor customer service. When a drive-thru backup is interfering with surrounding traffic, drivers are nearly colliding, road-rage incidents are occurring, and customers are effectively trapped for extremely long periods of time before learning they cannot even purchase food normally, someone needs to address the operation of this location. Read the other reviews and decide for yourself. There appears to be a long-running customer-service problem at this location, and after what I witnessed on October 1, I believe it has reached the point where management, Taco Bell corporate, and potentially local authorities should determine whether changes are necessary to prevent another dangerous traffic situation. Their customer service is so bad that at this point it is an ongoing public safety issue. Somebody is going to get hurt or killed from this one day if no changes are made. Pedestrians walking by have to zig-zag around a bunch of cars carefully trying not to get hit. Cars are playing chicken with each other. This mess was embarrassing. After this experience, I will not be returning to any taco bell ever again in life over this level of carelessness and incompetence. Don't just take my word for it, Read the other reviews, they do not care. They want you all to go away.
