Quick service and tasty food! The ambience wasn't bad, but the bathroom seemed to have a multitude of flies

Had a nice lunch at Guacamole Mexican Grill on King George. Hubby had the Mar Y Tierra, always so good. I noticed they refried beans changed and I really like them. I went with the Birra Tacos. I couldn't eat the last one. Everything was good. It was lunch and there were a few tables and only one waitress on. Service was friendly but with only one server it is slow. read more

Great pupusas- we got the mixtas and they were very generously sized, great filling and crispy exterior. Bonus for the sauces and salsas they give the table at the beginning, the creamy chipotle was great! I felt the steak fajitas had minimal steak and way too many veggies so it was a veggie fajita really. But overall great place in an unassuming area read more

This hidden gem is not to be missed especially if you love authentic Mexican food. Food: 5/5 - we had the beef burrito Banado and fried Birria Beef tacos. We both enjoyed our dishes. Both were filling and delicious. The taco meat was tender and moist with a tasty dip. The burrito was a huge portion and delicious. We had the churro dessert. It was heavenly especially with ice cream. Service: 5/5 - Fernanda was friendly and made great recommendations. Thanks Fernanda! Atmosphere: 5/5 - don't let the area fool you, once inside you're in for a pleasant surprise. A fantastic vibe to the place with cool and trendy decor. A great place to get together with family and friends or for a celebration. There's live entertainment on the weekends. I can't wait to bring my friends here for dinner. read more

The ambience, the vibes, the singer, the food...literally where do I begin? I'm in love with absolutely everything! Best Mexican food in town! This place truly deserves every single five-star review! This restaurant will instantly transport you to Mexico! This restaurant has that true fiesta feeling! This place is an absolute VIBE !!! From the start you know you're going to have a great experience here. The moment you enter the restaurant, the staff, ambiance, and music transports you to Mexico! This is by far one of the most entertaining dinners we have had! The food is amazing but add a live singer and you got yourself dinner and a show! What a fun dining experience! The ambiance truly made the night feel special. The vibes alone draw you in here! The food was nothing short of incredible. The chicken fajitas turned up the heat! It was sizzling and had smoke coming from it. Now that's how you do it! Every bite of the birria tacos was incredible--I honestly didn't want it to end. Then sip on a taste of Mexico with the Jarritos, Horchada & Jamaica (hibiscus iced tea). The Horchada was my favourite which is a Mexican cinnamon rice milk drink! The Queso Fundido was utterly delicious! If you have a killer sweet tooth like me then you have to try their Churros. And the Tres Leches cake just melt in my mouth! Such an ultra spongy, insanely moist, and light cake that feels luxuriously decadent. How can they make such awesome Mexican food!? The entire vibe is a party with fun music, singing, amazing food and the funnest atmosphere! We could not stop smiling and taking in the whole experience! It's a colourful Mexican escape where the flavours are bold and the ambiance is electric! Guacamole Mexican Grill is THE spot for authentic Mexican vibes in Surrey! The food hit all the right notes for what I want from Mexican food. This Mexican restaurant is the real deal with its authentic food, colourfulness and vibe. Whether you're here for a casual meal or looking to enjoy a taste of classic Mexican culture, this spot offers both delicious food and a memorable ambiance. Delicious food, great atmosphere and everyone was nice...what else could you ask for in a restaurant? The place makes you forget you're in Surrey. A lovely Mexican experience with high quality ingredients! Even on busy nights like Saturdays, they make you feel taken care of and always offer thoughtful recommendations. It has become one of those rare restaurants where you want to bring friends and family just to share how good it is. We also love that the quality never slipped no matter how busy it got. It truly feels like a piece of Mexico has been transported straight to Surrey! The flavours were perfectly balanced with just the right amount of kick. You can tell they really care about the quality of what they serve. This is a buzzing spot while still being its own little escape in the heart of Surrey. From the moment I walked in, the staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about creating a great dining experience. Overall highly satisfied with our dining experience, and a big part of that was thanks to the staff. The restaurant had a really cool authentic atmosphere with live music and fun. If you're looking for a great meal with a fun Mexican vibe, you should definitely check it out! Only bad thing I have to say about this place is that they should have more locations! Hats off to the team. It's more than just a meal - it's an experience. You will cherish the memories you create here. read more

We finally made it here after I told my Mexican friend about this place last year or so. And no, they really do not celebrate Cinco de Mayo, though businesses may do it just to boost sales. It was Mother's Day weekend when we were here and this place was busy even after 2pm. Unfortunately there was only one person on the floor doing almost everything (it got better towards the end of our meal when the owners were there to help. They were friendly and apologetic about the slow service.). Do not come here if you are hungry as it can be a wait for someone to take your order and for the food to arrive. The food -- definitely authentic according to my Mexican friend. She liked the Chile rellenos which is her benchmark on how the food it. Apparently it is not that easy to make. But the little greens/salad is "Americanized", you will not get that in Mexico. I liked the chicken enchiladas. I just wish the refried beans had lard in it like the ones I had in WA. And yes, lard is usually in refried beans or their cooking. Maybe it is trying to be healthier here. The Mexican hot chocolate had spices in it. I could only discern cinnamon and I am not a big fan. So not something I will order again. The desserts were nice. Flan and tres leches cake. Not too sweet though sometimes I do want the tres leches cake to be soaked through to be super sweet like other places. Parking is at the plaza lot out front. This being Whalley area, it did have some sketchy people hanging around even during daytime. read more

The family and I stopped at this little place, which admittedly isn't the highest end ambience, only to be completely won over by the staff, food and clientele. We honestly felt like it was a private party that all were welcome to! There was karaoke and jokes. Truly a one of a kind experience... and the food was delicious! read more

I stumbled upon this place on Instagram and decided to try it out. Located in a small strip mall near Surrey Central, it doesn't look like much on the outside. Once you're inside, it's warm and inviting with excellent service. The chimichanga was epic, bring your appetite cause it's massive. The birria tacos were crunchy and cheesy with a hearty broth for dipping. Looking forward to coming back for their karaoke night and trying nachos! read more

There hasn't been a meal, I had here that was bad!! I've been to this restaurant so many times I've lost count. Rosa and her family make you feel like apart of their family when you are there, the service is always 10/10 and the FOOD! Ugh, you can tell it's made with love! Everyone I've ever brought here or recommended the restaurant to has said the same thing! Go visit Guacamole in Surrey, if you want true authentic Mexican cuisine and to be treated like family ! read more

Quite good Latin fare! The service here is so great, everyone is very friendly. The inside and the outside of the establishment is a bit messy but ignore that. We got a few tasters to share so we could try various things... First off, were the chicken enchiladas with red sauce. Delicious, moist, flavourful chicken in nice tortillas and covered with restraint in the sauce. Nicely balanced. With pretty standard rice, very runny beans, and a bit of greens. 3/5 Next were the tamales salvadorenos. Quite different for any other tamales I have had before. Lots of ingredients right in the masa. Wrapped with banana leaf instead of corn husk. Served with their recommended chipotle salsa. 5/5 Last were the fried birria tacos. You can't go wrong with birria, but these were probably the least flavourful birria I've had. Salty and beefy yes, but lacking some of the spice and floral / fruity aromas I've gotten to know. Each one was had two large corn tortilla which I think wasn't necessary - they didn't really dry up because of this. 3/5 All in all, pretty yummy and I'll be back to try other things like their tacos and papusas read more

Service could have been a bit more attentive as we had to wait a while to get water, etc, but I could not care less. Delicious food and really nice people can't wait to go back we had ceviche and Barrera tacos

slow service, the worst beans and rice I have ever had in a mexican restaurant (and I have been to dozens and dozens of mex restaurants around the world) and the chile rellenos (they advertise plural on the menu) only comes with one chile..... very disappointed read more

So it's in Whalley.... that's the first thing you should know when you park. But the restaurant is clean with cute mexican decor and a nice server. Not to mention the food was fantastic! We had the burrito, tacos, and pupusas... all super tasty and fresh. Prices were fair - not cheap, but we live in one of the most expensive cities in the world so $2 tacos won't be here! read more

Great burritos! These folks know how make Mexican food. I got the Carne asada and asked for Mexican style green salsa (pureed and hot af). They did not disappoint. If you don't like a lot of spice, their standard issue salsas are quite mild. That would be my only criticism really. I had to deduct a star for location. The restaurant is in a strip mall on King George next to the soup kitchen/ministry. I don't feel safe going there alone at any time of day, and while I live within walking distance, I drive the four blocks to protect myself from zombie bites. read more

We were here last night and the experience was fantastic. It was a packed house and from the moment we stepped inside, we were welcomed by tantalizing aromas, laughter and live music. Before even being seated, it felt like we had been welcomed to a get together of friends, not a restaurant. The live entertainment was exactly that, and engaged with each individual guest. The food - WOW! Guests were looking over at other tables admiring the dishes and asking what they ordered. Everything looked delicious. We ordered the Flautas and the Chimi...the beef in the chimi was delectable. I could have eaten a bowl of it. The jalapeno salsa added just the right amount of flavor plus kick without being really spicy. The horchata was excellent. We left after almost 2 hours, bellies full and huge smiles on our faces. Not only an excellent meal but an excellent experience as well. Will be back again soon! read more

Oh my goodness, me and my family we're not disappointed to say the least. Everything was so delicious that we ordered. Don't even get me started on the papusa's, these were so amazing, we actually ordered extra for at home. So good!!! LOCATION CHANGE. Starting November 1,2021 that are changing locations! 10671A King George Blvd, Surrey, BC V3T 2X6. * Nacho deluxe ($16.99) ~ this was the best thing ever! Probably my favourite dish of the day! It was loaded with lots of toppings and had a lot of cheese. Their housemade tortillas were super crispy and fresh! Best chips I've had with my nachos because of how good and loaded it is. * Pozale ($16.99) ~ amazing. First time having pozale and I was blown away by the seasonings and flavours it had. The meat inside was super tender and soft too! This was so good as a dip with my soft shell tacos! * Birria taco ($16.99) ~ this was saucy! It can be very messy so be aware! The tortilla was dressed with the nice birria consommé. * Flautas ($15.99) ~ super crunchy it was phenomenal. The filling was good and flavourful too. * Shrimp ceviche ($17.99) ~ this was good and citrus! Had lots of flavour and was very refreshing. Loads of little shrimps in the ceviche and paired with nice crunchy chips. * Steak, beef, pollo , carnita tacos ~ the tacos are super cute each one is loaded and can be paired with the house sauce. The shell was chewy and soft the meat was a bit dry in the steak one but other than that it very flavourful. * Horchata ~ this was sweet. This is one of the horchata on the sweeter side for sure. Nice amount of cinnamon. But I wish it was less sweet. * Flan ~ this was so jiggly. It was creamy and thick. The sauce on top was so good with the creamy flan. * 7/10 ~ overall it was good their chips and nachos were the highlight. The horchata I wish was less sweet but overall a good spread. read more

I've only been to their previous location prior to this visit and they made some serious upgrades. They even have live music on certain days. It's.... okay. Ate there a couple times and both times it was okay, but not great. The tortilla soup isn't as good as other places I've eaten at. Same with the burrito and burrito bowl. It would be more acceptable if either the food were better or the prices were lower. The prices are on the high side for what you get (especially if you order by Skip The Dishes... yikes). They don't have a cheaper lunch menu either. read more

A hidden gem in North Surrey. It reminded me of many off-the-beaten path restaurants I have been to in Mexico. My grilled shrimp were fantastic. Guacamole one of the best I have ever had. Came here tonight with my husband as I've seen their ad on a social media platform... and let me tell you. Their marketing worked! The staff are super friendly, restaurant is clean with beautiful decor! The food on top of everything else, was amazing! I had the birria tacos and hubby had the pork enchiladas! Both were amazing! I was craving authentic mexican food, so I decided to give this place a shot. (My first time) Right away I was greeted by the friendly staff, and was seated. Right away you can tell the place is family owned, as they're all rushing around, making sure everyone is content and taken care of! Made me feel apart of their family, very warm and welcoming. As we were waiting for our food, to my surprise, live music started! The gentleman singing was lovely and soulful. I felt like I was in a little restaurant tucked away somewhere in the heart of Mexico. The food was EXACTY what i was looking for. Fresh, delicious, and authentic. Got the veggie enchiladas me and my wife. These were far below our expectations after seeing this place had 4.5 stars. The beans were watery and had no actual beans.. just a smooth bean paste.. open up the enchiladas to find remnants of tomato and a few pieces of corn and that's it.. no actually veggie fillings like you would imagine from a place with good ratings. I've had good Mexican food and this is far from it. read more
