I was here with a watch party for the Fifa World Cup 2026 game between South Africa vs Canada. Go Canada. LMC is a small restaurant where many Steveston locals have had celebrations & parties at over the years. My Strawberry Margarita was just ok - I didn't enjoy it. The steak Tacos were so-so = they lacked in flavour & pizzazz. I even forget to take pics of my Tacos. There's so many Mexican restaurants in Metro Vancouver that are way more authentic, in my view. The servers are friendly & the place has many large tables suitable for mid to large size groups plus a reasonable outdoor patio section. Great option for a cold beer outside. They offer a 3/$21 selection or 1 for $8 on their tacos. Both my date and I had 3 as we were quite tired. All in all, I'd say serving size is on the small size. The Birria was on the blander side & needed some extra kick . The broth dip that came on the side did not create much in terms of flavor profiles. I did the the Baja fish was nicely fried / juicy. The prawn tostada was disappointing. Tostada was hitting the staler end of crispy and prawns were the very small side which just made the tostada look too big for it. Also had their Mexican style Street corn. This is just the kernels served on a bowl. No cob. I would pass on the corn next time. I'd probably order 3 bajas next time if I'm back in the area.

As for their authentic Mexican food and service we would rate this place 10/10, only because it was a week day night and they've only been open 1 week in. They officially launch this August 28 with 1 free new flavored margarita with your meal. The bright decor and ambience was warm and inviting. It won't be long before this new location is shared with everyone. If you crave authentic Mexican food, this restaurant will meet or exceed your expectations.

Their food is from the rich culinary traditions of Oaxaca, every dish here feels authentic, and beautifully placed. The atmosphere and decor stands out. It's chic and stylish, not your typical Mexican restaurant. What we tried: 1Nachos - home made chips so good 2 Ceviche de Camuron - with shrimp , so refreshing. 3 Mole Amarillo- Grilled Octopus, amazingly tender. Mole is their traditional dish, uses 27 spices to cook. The taste similar to curry to me 4 Quesabirrias - highly recommended

Their tortilla soup was also soo good and flavourful. We got their choco mole for dessert, DECEDENT AND DELICIOUS!! it was soft and very chocolatey. Their drinks were also stellar. But their dinner time is pretty full so I would recommend getting a reservation then.

We arrived around 7:45pm on a Saturday night and it was busy with a FIFA game on the TV. The staff were friendly and we got a table after they cleaned one for us. Really cute authentic Mexican joint run by friendly hard working Mexicans. Each table gets served complimentary chips with salsa, which was amazing. I asked how much to get an extra side of salsa and the waiter told me they don't sell it but for me, he'll get me another free side of salsa. My boyfriend ordered two soft tacos and I got the chicken enchiladas with green salsa plus a lingua (beef tongue) soft taco as I needed leftovers for lunch the next day. We also asked for waters and a grapefruit soda. The food arrived pretty quickly and I really enjoyed the rice, refried beans, and the chicken enchiladas. A lot of Mexican joints have dry chicken but the chicken here is juicy and flavourful. The beef lingua taco was okay - not outstanding but not bad. Their hot salsa and creama sauce were outstanding though - we asked for extra to take home with my enchiladas leftovers. One of the servers forgot our water, soda, and extra salsa but we managed to get it after awhile. He was extremely apologetic but no biggie. Great friendly service with solid food - this might be one of my favourite new spots in Surrey.

I've had beef tripe in the past and it has never had a smell or taste (it's just supposed to have a chewy texture). Unfortunately, I was not able to finish my soup. However, the quesabirria was really good and extremely cheesy. I do wish the consommé was more acidic and salty (it just kind of tasted like beef broth). The staff were super nice though and I would come back again to try some other menu items!

Maybe I should preface this by saying that I'm not a big drinks and appies girlie, and from my…read moreexperience I suspect this is a drinks and appies place We ordered: -Agua de Jamaica (8$), Agua de Tamarindo (8$), Margarita (15$): Albeit quite sweet, I liked the aguas frescas. Not a big alcohol drinker so maybe I won't comment on the margarita. -Queso Fundido (25$): I think this may have been my favourite thing. I believe one of the cheeses in here was Gruyère, which I peronally really enjoy and believe adds depth and robustness to the flavour (as opposed to a less "offensive" cheese, such as mozarella. I highly recommend if you order this, given that it comes with corn tortillas, making a little cheese taco and adding their green house-maid pineapple salsa verde! It adds a delicious sweet touch. -Guacamole (16$): Classic, delicious. -Enchiladas Verdes (28$): This was the reason for my disappointment. In my personal opinion, I did not love this. Granted the portion was big, which is appreciated, but the flavour didn't do it for me. I found it overly-salted, but also lacking flavour at the same time? I also felt like it was dry on the inside/needed more sauce and cream and lettuce. It also didn't have the mexican enchilada flavour that I know and love (maybe these are from a different region than those that I'm used to?) -Asada Taco ($10.5): Not pictured, but also shockingly didn't love it. Churros (12$): Was shocked by the sauce. The sauce it came with was not cajeta, was not chocolate, but was an interesting strawberry chocolate combination? Definitely different. But definitely preferred the buñuelos (which aren't on the menu-you have to ask, and hope, for them). Overall, as mentioned previously, I think this is a pricier high-end ambiance, drinks and appies sort of place. None of the appies disappointed. The staff was incredibly nice, patient, and accommodating. I just personally can't see myself coming back (except maybe for the queso fundido and buñuelos).

Every dish is made fresh to order. Tacos: comes on a plate of 3. Out of all 4 dishes we ordered, this was my least favourite. It was still tasty, but nothing special. Barbacoa: everyone at the table enjoyed this dish the most. The beef brisket was so tender. It came with 5 warm corn tortillas. Shrimp taquitos: nice and crispy corn tortillas, we liked the shrimp filling. I also really liked the guac on top, it tasted so fresh. Enchiladas de pollo: the cheese and sour cream made the dish really creamy and satisfying. We also enjoyed the rice & black beans that came with it.
