We ordered 4 tacos (shrimp, fish, carnitas and al pastor), large nachos, chorizo burrito and 2 horchatas (cinnamon and coconut). Shrimp, al pastor tacos and burrito were delicious. I found the carnitas to be very dry and the fish seemed as if it had been frozen for a long time. Nachos had generous toppings, but a bit drowned in sauces. I wanted something relatively inexpensive and tasty, as well as somewhat filling for lunch today, and came across "Sal y Limon" on UberEats. Having noticed them in the area as well as on food delivery apps recently, I decided to, finally, give them a go. I ordered through the UberEats app and had it delivered to my workplace. The food arrived in a brown paper bag, inside a sealed brown paper bag, carefully wrapped and cradled for safety and keeping all the deliciousness from falling out. The roll was soft, with a light bite (not too dense or too fluffy), and the chorizo filling with all the veggies and sauces came alive in my mouth. Bright, flavourful, clean bites of delight that sparked my senses and made me smile from the hop! Fresh, crisp, slightly spicy (with sides to dip / drizzle on), and meaty, colour me impressed by the experience of this Torta The horchata was smooth, although somewhat watery (this isn't a bad thing!), and comes together beautifully to provide a creamy, cinnamon burst of flavour that is not too overpowering and offsets the Torta perfectly. Some horchata I've had is more "slushy" in texture but I prefer the "iced coffee" smoothness of this one on my palette. Do I recommend? 100%! One day I'll make a point of going into Sal y Limon to eat and check out their decor- if their location is anything like their food, I guarantee it's on point and ready to impress! I was here with my family on Sept 3rd (Monday) and our experience was fantastic. SYL Surrey location is bigger cleaner and beautiful in terms of interior and decoration. Even the washrooms are bigger and fancier than Kingsway one. We had Super Sal Y Limon Burrito ($10.50), Tacos, Carne Asada Torta Sandwich ($9.05) with Coconut Horchata ($2.50) everything was fantastic. SSYL Burrito was huge and my parents shared food together. We were all amazed of how tasty the food was and the variety of sauce to choose from. Similar to Kingsway location there is kid's playground, so Moms and Dads can talk while watch kids playing. This Sal y Limon location is within Morgan Crossing. The decor is nice and the restaurant is spacious. I think that this place is overrated, but it may be just this location that isnt very good. The cool thing about Sal y Limon is that they have a salsa bar that has many different flavors of salsa. The top ones in my opinion were the peanut salsa and the avocado salad, they didnt stand out that much in flavour though. My table ordered tacos, nachos, and a burrito. We all came to an agreement that the tortillas used weren't very good. It tasted really floury and the texture was mushy. The contents of the tacos and burritos were good, but didnt amaze us. The nachos were pretty good and saucy, but it got really soggy after sitting for 10 minutes. The one thing that was really gross was that there were A LOT of fruit flies that harrassed us. The flies didnt care about us waving our hands around and landed on our food regardless. We all lost our appetites after seeing 4 flies land on our food and decided to throw away half of our nachos. Extremely disappointing considering all the hype that Sal y Limon gets. Will never come back to this location and may give the Vancouver one a chance. read more

My visit to Sal y Limon was long over due! Their Al Pastor Taco is the reason we started grilling pineapple on the BBQ for a sweet and smoky addition to our tacos at home! My kids came and told me all about it and I finally came myself to check it out last night before heading to White Rock to see the sunset! At the till they had samples of their warm fresh potato chip served with a cheese salsa or a chipotle sauce...both so good but we ordered the cheese salsa to go along with our chips because of the fresh cilantro! I was trying to decide between the Fresh Mango Juice, Coconut Horchata or the Cinnamon Horchata...so the girl offered samples of all 3 to help me decide! We went with the Coconut Horchata and the Mango Juice and then mixed them together....so so fresh and bursting with flavour! As our mains we ordered the Chorizo Burrito - was huge and had a nice smokiness to the chorizo 1 Al Pastor Taco - pork with pineapple the perfect balance of salty and sweet 1 Carne Asada - a great classic 1 Cochinita - just a slight kick to it! All the tacos were topped with fresh onion and cilantro...yum! The best part was the hot sauce bar...so many great flavours to kick up the spice and flavours to any dish exactly to your liking! Loved it here! I got 3 tacos: pollo pibil, pollo en mole and shrimp. My friend ordered the chorizo huaraches. We both enjoyed our meals and thought the prices and portions were very fair. We were also pleasantly surprised at the interior as it was really nice and we appreciated the tables being spaced out well. Be sure to know what you want to order beforehand as you order at the till once you're inside. Their system inside is pretty smooth. Yet your staff are discriminating against pharmacists who are medical/healthcare workers because there's a pharmacy across the street from your south surrey location. Pharmacists are just as much on the front lines in health care and are in fact the most accessible health care professionals, especially through this current pandemic. Don't advertise you're giving medical and front line workers a discount if not all of them apply. If you're afraid of giving out too much of the discount limit it and say so. But don't do it cause there's medical workers in close proximity. That's just poor business practice. If you've had Sal y Limon at Kingsway/Fraser I prefer the original location to the South Surrey spot, there is a noticeable difference in the quality of food coming out of the kitchen.. The children's play area (toy kitchen) is kinda terrible/gross, parents seem to dump their kids and leave them to act out/be disruptive in front of other customers who are eating close by. The salsa bar could use more tending to, the few times i have gone they are not being refilled, aside from variations of peppers, you are just pouring flavorless lava on your meal which makes you buy more drinks. read more

Although this location has just been open less than a week it was packed. Just had a late lunch with my husband and kids and it was delicious. Finally a Mexican place to enjoy in South Surrey! We had fish and shrimp tacos. The quality of ingredients was great. While we ate, the kids played in the play area they have set up (perfect for families with young kids). I was excited to see Sal y Limon expand to the suburbs. Unfortunately I was super disappointed by the tricky upselling that took place. I was charged $2 per burrito for cheese which was pitched as an option not an extra. (Btw, free at Chipotle) Then I ordered chips and he placed salsa and guacamole on my plate...when I got the bill I was charged $2 for the pico and $2 for the guacamole.
