Omg this place it's amazing all the food is like wow! So far I have ordered, the sopes, the fried plantains(which are amazing, sweet & fresh made), of course the guacamole it's amazing, the quesadilla it's superb, omg and the desserts are sooo good! 3 words: affordable, authentic, appetizing. Guacamole's has food that is much cheaper than average fare and the food is better than most Mexican restaurants! The place is clean, the staff is fast. My only complaints are minor being that the burrito bowl has too much lettuce on the bottom so it is warm. This place has a couple of things going on. On one hand the presentation is great on their food, and their portions are definitely generous. I had the crispy burrito with beef and shrimp smothered in queso. It was pretty good, but not exceptional. The refried beans were just ehh. The turn off for me was the prices. That burrito was over $15! Didn't even come with the standard chips and salsa that you get at any other Mexican restaurant. For that price, it's a deal breaker. Everything else tasted decent. The horchata was good, but maybe a tad too sweet. There are other choices around the $10 mark, but very few were below 10, which is really odd for a Mexican restaurant that's not considered "high end". This place is a joke. They nickel and dime you for everything. Chips and salsa aren't free. When you order it they give you a tiny amount for $7.00. Tacos are $3 each and on the smallest tortillas with a small amount of meat. Given they give large drinks, but they don't fill them up. Waited 30 extra minutes to get my check. Once we got up and acted like we were leaving they finally got us our check. No beans and rice with anything unless you pay $20 for a burrito platter. The burrito platter is small. I've eaten at better 5 star "Mexican Restaurants", but they're each more than 1,000 miles away. So I am thrilled that such an excellent restaurant serving "Mexican" food is here in Jupiter. I've tried the enchiladas, burritos, gorditas and chimichangas. All were quite good. But the restaurant is aptly named. Love the food here! Chips, salsa and guacamole are delicious and we get everytime we dine here. The wine margaritas are so good. Service is always quick and friendly and the interior is clean and cheerful. My husband always seems to try something different and is pleased with his meals. My go to is the pulled pork burrito. From the corn tortillas to the Al Pastor Tacos to the Mexican soda, My fiance and I were hooked. I always get the veggie tacos (sans sour cream and cheese to make them vegan) and they're better than probably any taco I've had, and definitely better than anything else in Jupiter--Mexican or otherwise. The portion was so large that even though I had run 22 miles that day, I couldn't finish! My wife had a chicken burrito that was also excellent. Some of the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Again we lived in Cali where real Mexican food lives. This food on the whole is flavorless. Each and every time the food is bland and has almost no flavor. We have had tostada's which was stale and the beef was flavorless. The tacos had 1/2 filled with beef and the other half with onions and cilantro (way to much of both) no cheese, and no flavor. The Flautas with Chicken we're simply bad just bad. I agree chips should be free but these chips are always cold, flavorless and thick. We had one good burrito but that was the sauce that had the flavor not the meat. Lastly we had a cheese enchilada and again it was flavorless and mildly warm. We have been there 5 times over the past 2 years, we want it to be good and it's just not. I would go to Harbourside for really good Mexican food. I think they need to step it up, but they seem to have good reviews and I don't know why because again the food is ehh, the service is 2 out of 5, and the restaurant tends to be dark, dank, and messy. read more
