Here's a little story…read more I have a lot of files from WordPerfect which need to be read on my MacBook. I'm a writer here for a year to work on a memoir. I'm not a complete Luddite but file conversion is substantially above my pay grade. Jeremy called me back and flat out told me that what I needed could be handled by someone less expensive. He works with complex data recovery. This is not complex. Still, he listened to my problem and told me to send him a file to see if he could open it up. His suspicion was that WPDs were openable in Open Office but that he might have to write some sort of code for the documents (400 files on one thumb drive, another 300 or so longer files on another). A minute later my phone rang. "I spoke too soon. Looks like you can open these in Libre Open Office." There is only one review of Jeremy on Yelp (by a disgruntled woman with no other reviews). I am closing in on 1000 Yelp reviews and I'm 9 years Elite. Jeremy could have charged me hundreds and hundreds of dollars to do a job that I can probably handle on my own, without even paying anyone. That's the definition of integrity. Highly competent and a pleasure to speak to. If you find yourself in need of someone who can recover data (I don't myself know what makes this "forensic" or what scenarios might lead to mass loss of data), Jeremy's your guy. I had a problem that I thought was complicated but turns out not to be.

Can't recommend. Communication was like pulling teeth. Watch out for the non-refundable deposit.read more

Are They Still In Business?…read more I rely on my computer...a 27 inch Mac...for almost everything at home and work. I've had nary a problem during the past 10 years, but the hard drive recently began to show signs of wearing down. Since it was a product of Apple, I thought the best place to contact for repairs in the area would be MacDoc. I called their phone number and left a message. Then I completed a form on their website which allows you to describe the problems and list your contact information. After 3 days with no response, I decided to try another shop - Alltech Computer - which handled my situation very well. As I write this review, it's been more than a week since I tried to contact MacDoc.....and still no reply.

When he developed problems with his computer he called me to help, the problem is that I live in Texas, a thousand miles away. I searched on Yelp and found Vinny at MacDoc. I called Vinny, described my Dad's problem, his computer and the steps we had taken to troubleshoot over the phone long distance. Vinny was very attentive and suggested a great course of action that was reasonable and would enable my father to get another few years out of his vintage computer. I told my Dad about MacDoc, and the next day Vinny went over to pick up the computer. Less than 24 hours later Vinny had disassembled the computer, upgraded the memory and hard drive, and reassembled the computer. He then transferred the data from the old drive to the new drive, and then delivered and set up the computer in my Dad's home. All at the previously promised price. My Dad is thrilled with Vinny's service and craftsmanship. His 10 year old computer runs as fast ad the day he bought it saving him $1500. Thanks to Vinny and MacDoc. Professionals all the way!

This year our storage business decided to put in a secondary gate at our entrance. We already had…read moreone adjacent to the building, but we wanted to put another at the entrance for closure during after-hours. We hired a different, local gate company to install the gate and my initial concern was making sure that our customer's gate codes would work with both the existing gate and the newly installed gate. The company we hired assured us it was no problem. 6 months later our gate was finally installed, the only problem - no keypads and no solution for the gates working in unison! Frustrated, I began looking around for another company to help complete the most important and complicated part of this job. This is when I found Brandon at BR Services. After explaining my situation over the phone, Brandon relieved my concern by assuring me that this could be resolved and promised to come out soon to investigate the set-up we had. He followed through on his promise, promptly coming out to survey the scenario. After reviewing the situation he gave me a very competitive quote and, with my approval, got the remaining parts I needed on order. Brandon was prompt, honest, knowledgable, and fair through the whole experience. He delivered on what he promised and went the extra mile to get the job done RIGHT! I met with and received quotes from at least 5 gate companies before proceeding with the gate project. I only wish I had found BR Services in the first place. If you're having gate issues or need one installed, don't go anywhere else! Trust me.
