We wanted him to come and provide us an estimate. He replied, and we made an appointment, but he never arrived for it, nor did he give us any indication that he couldn't make it (no text message, call, or e-mail, etc.) A few days later he did call and admitted that he stood us up, so we arranged for him to come again. He came by, and inspected the fence, and then promised us a quick estimate for the job... but we never heard from him or Fortress Fence company again. They simply never followed through. I even sent him a nice follow-up e-mail asking him for the estimate, but he never replied to it. Save for two other local construction companies, my family and I have never been put off, ignored, and disregarded by a service professional like this. We think it's important to register this unfortunate interaction on Yelp so that no one else has to go through it.

Stephen was able to assess each project carefully and discuss options with us so that we could choose what was best for our budget and needs. The estimates were very fair and transparent. The quality of work is excellent and they aren't cutting any corners. The posts are very stout and they are anchored deep! I'm seeing perfect welds on the custom steel gate frame and precise measurements and cuts on all lumber. I was also happy to see high quality tools and equipment being used on site. The materials, hardware, and fastener choices will make sure their hard work lasts and also looks great for many years. Stephen and the crew were very courteous and kept us updated on the progress each day and cleaned up before they were done.
