I dropped off my truck on 03/16 around 12 PM and never received a single update on the status of my vehicle. The service advisor, Harry, never mentioned that it might need to stay overnight. When I called to check on it, I was told no one else could give me an update because they weren't Harry--which makes no sense. All customer and vehicle information should be accessible in the system. On top of that, no one even had my contact info ready. I tried calling Harry directly and never got a call back. I was told my message would be passed along, but here we are the next day (03/17) and still no response. I have work and kids to take care of, and being left without any communication is extremely frustrating. AVOID!!! Extremely bad experience with this dealer. I went in on 6/16 to look at a truck I saw online. And the truck needed maintenance, I couldn't even test drive it. According to the salesperson, Jose Barrientes, it was only a sensor so I agreed to sign paperwork stating I was going to purchase the truck once it was serviced in order to remove it from their website. It was supposed to be a quick fix but it has turned into a 2 week and some days ordeal. I have been the one having to constantly call to ask for updates and swearing I was going to get called back with updates but never did. I then decided I was no longer interested as it felt like they were not being transparent. Yesterday 6/30 I called and spoke to Clint who is supposed to be the sales manager. I asked for an update and he said the sensor had been changed and that they were working on the injectors, I then said that the injectors never had been mentioned to me and that I was now no longer interested. He then said he would give me a call back in "a couple minutes" and those "couple minutes" has now turned into 24+ hours. I tried calling again today to ensure I don't have to do anything on my part and ended up having to leave a voicemail. I highly recommend avoiding this dealership as a whole. A couple of weeks after lights came on on the dash, I replaced spark plugs and they had rust all over, control arm is leaking, I asked them about extending warranty when buying the vehicle, and i didn't get any information or options about it.. He was very helpful and honest, however we are disappointed with the level of service we received from the financing department. A year after purchasing our vehicles, we decided to cancel the extended warranty. We left several messages with financing department and they will not return our calls. It has been over 3 weeks and numerous messages left to cancel our extended warranty and they will not return our calls. They also need to hire a receptionist with more professional as well. Whenever I called and Daisha answered, she acted as though it was a hassle to transfer my call. Completely rude and disrespectful. If we would have known the lack of communication and professional we would receive afterwords, we would not have purchased two vehicles from this dealership. I would NOT RECOMMEND this dealership. If I could give zero stars I would. When I first went to get a transmission fluid and filter change, there was an oil leak found while doing transmission filter and flush. I was told that they did a multi-point inspection making it seem that it was all good to go. Yet I had to bring it back after 2-3 days due to my coolant leaking out. Which is odd because before I took my truck for maintenance, I didn't have any issues with my coolant. During the time of the transmission fluid and filter change I had to wait for a whole week to get my truck back. I paid a lot totaling around $3,000 and somehow they missed a "major coolant leak"... I'm here thinking it had to do something that they didn't do right, so I asked them to please check thoroughly and if anything they should be the ones to cover it due to having to bring it back and missing the major leak. The service advisor I was appointed to had communicated with me the first time I brought the truck in, but the second time he did not. Instead, I had to be the one reaching out to get an update and when I ask to get a rental (which should've been offered due to the inconvenience) he said they couldn't until they run a diagnosis for it because "it was policy". There was no sense of urgency since I first took my truck, I'm here thinking... this is the second time bringing my truck they should consider or as they claim "Be happy to assist if anything else comes up" due to the inconvenience offer a rental car after they found the diagnosis and yet no type of concern for the client. They didn't reached out and a week goes by without my truck. It took 3 days for them to tell me about the major coolant leak and wanting to charge me $1,102.72 which is ridiculous because I shouldn't have to pay over $1,000 for something that they failed to see plus it shouldn't cost more than $500-$800 to fix. At this point I was frustrated to the point I decided to get my truck back and take it somewhere else. Before I did... I asked to talk to a manager hoping there was a way they could lower the price down and same service advisor (Edward Perales III) said that the manger wouldn't be back until Tuesday... You expect me to believe there is only one manager availabe? This just shows how little they care for their clients. Sadly I thought about getting another truck because this where I originally purchased my truck when it used to be Munday Chevrolet and I been having my truck for about 9 years and till now I'm starting to have issues like this. My experience with Sterling McCall Chevrolet's service department has been a disaster of epic proportions--financially devastating, professionally negligent, and emotionally exhausting. All I took my diesel truck in for was a routine fuel filter replacement. A simple job. But due to their lack of basic competency, the technician failed to bleed and prime the fuel line properly. This caused an issue that never existed in my truck's entire history. My vehicle, which had no rail system problems since 2016, suddenly breaks down less than a mile from the dealership--immediately after "routine fuel filter replacement" service. Rather than taking accountability, the dealership casually said, "These things happen." What's worse, they offered no support. I had to arrange and pay for my own tow to bring the truck back to the very people who broke it. Then began the nightmare of misdiagnoses and money drain. They blamed the fuel rail system. I shelled out over $5,000 on rail system repairs. Then they said I needed a sensor--another $700. And guess what? The issue STILL isn't fixed. Now here's the kicker: Since January, Sterling McCall Chevrolet has had my truck more than I have. While I continue making monthly payments on the vehicle itself, I'm also paying the interest on repairs that haven't even solved the problem. I'm essentially paying for a vehicle I can't drive and for repairs that haven't worked--and no one at the dealership seems to care. Communication is pathetic. I've gone weeks without a single update unless I initiate contact. And the worst part? The repairs they're currently doing are an educated guess at best, with no confidence, no clear diagnosis, and absolutely no assurance that I won't be back in the same situation shortly after getting the truck back--if I ever get it back at all. This isn't just bad service. It's negligence bordering on fraud. They've taken my truck, my money, and my peace of mind, and have offered no real accountability in return. I'm left without a vehicle, hemorrhaging money, and with no resolution in sight. Probably one of the worst experiences I've had with a dealership. I arrived at 7:30am with an appointment they did a diagnostic that should've took him no longer than two hours they finally found out the problem, but told me three hours later that they couldn't do anything because the warranty department was closed. The technician left my truck to go get lunch and no one was able to put my truck back to gather so I had to wait an additional hour for the tech to come back from lunch I should've been informed that way earlier instead of leaving at 1:30 that is almost 6 hours. I pretty much wasted my day for my truck to not even be serviced and then they have the nerve to charge me for the diagnostic. The service manager Derek was no help at all. 2 weeks later I bring my truck back to be serviced finally and it took them 2 days to say they fix it. Now they are closed and my truck is still having the same problem. My truck is under warranty and I shouldn't be dealing with this at all. Horrible, I went in to get my car serviced in February. I just received my car back in May. My car still was not fully fixed. I went in for my car over heating and I had to bring it back 3 times because they never fixed it correctly. When I told them that it wasn't corrected they told me I was wrong and nothing was wrong with my vehicle. I expressed for them to look into the situation further, and they found a small crack in my radiator. The problem was still never corrected and was later found that I had a crack in the engine which is what we tried to tell them in the beginning but they wanted to charge me over 3,000 just to check. Once they fixed my engine the air condition needed to be fixed. Lastly the catalytic converter supposedly went out and they said I needed to replace that. Because I had to bring it back 3 times they charged me for the deductible. My service person named Valarie was very helpful but to not properly fix my car was totally ridiculous. I asked could the 100 be waved due to my experience and the head manager told me no. *UPDATE!!* So once I got my car back I drove it thinking it was fixed! After a minute my car started smoking and leaking oil!!! I asked my friend who's a mechanic why is it smoking? He stated because you're leaking oil and your missing screws and a part that was part of the engine was missing screws and not properly screwed in!! Like are you kidding me! Tried to upload the picture but having trouble!! Again asked for some type of compensation and was denied!! They have continuous messed up my car to the point that my warranty is fully exhausted. Absolutely the worst service ever!!! Please do not go here for any service it is an absolute nightmare!! I took my car in for service since I was having ac issues, they replaced the ac compressor which was all good but when I got my car back my trunk could no longer open!! It was working fine before taking it here. They kept making excuses after excuse that things happen and they never came up with any solution or help and treated me so rude then they wanted to want to charge me $650 more to replace the trunk latch for no reason!! It was not broken!! I never had that issue before until taking it here! But I refused and took it somewhere else and all they did was release the trunk somehow and said the latch was never broken and it did not need to be replaced!! This place is a scam!!! They tried to make more money off of me after already spending over $2,000!! I knew all along they had caused my trunk to lock up but they never helped me!! CHEFOR NDOFOR is a liability to this company, not only did he sell me a $46k lemon that broke down a month after I bought it but he refused to help me with anything I needed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WORKING WITH HIM or this dealership if they are selling bad cars, from the entire motor being black from never having an oil change to bad breaks to cracked rims and the list goes on, not even a better quote nothin!!! Smh THANKFULLY Jessica Perez went above and beyond and helped meet some of my needs. She's an asset to this company and I'm thankful she went out of her way to calmly listen to my frustrations and mostly straighten everything out the best she could . Still would love a better quote due to all the problems that came with this car that I was unaware of but no luck. BEWARE - I'm at a loss for words with their professionalism and customer focused facade. To be fair Ninete had good commutation and kept this from a 1 star. I wrote the director of service twice and they have yet to reply, I reached out to customer experience manager twice and they never called back. -This location scratched all 4 wheels though minor when doing tire rotation. -They attempted to repair something only for it to be worse off (steering wheel mismatch) -They scratched the steering wheel frame on replacement. -I addressed concern of auto braking not working and they wrote completely incorrect notes further proving they never inspected in the first place. -They did replace door panel correctly though upon purchase tint person left a 16in gash on leather when cutting tint All situations were pictured and recorded before leaving the shop. I have been polite the entire process and not sure where or how they credit themselves as customer focused. This would be disappointing to anyone spending 25k let alone the 88k I just dropped on a new Tahoe. All I asked was for them to treat the vehicle as if it was theirs. read more
