I took my Tundra into Haney's for the dreaded Secondary Air Pump Valve (they are located under the…read moreintake manifold on these!) error. Bob Haney diagnosed it and gave me my options and I decided to replace all three valves because of the amount of labor taking off the intake manifold. Without going into technical insanity, it turns out that the new valve from Toyota was faulty, but it reported it was working to the computer. Bob chased this thing around for days and ended up having to take the manifold off many times, talk to toyota on the phone, consult the tech specs online, etc. Finally, using his oscilliscope, he determined the sensor on the new valve was giving bad readings and he replaced it again. I know he took a bath on this one, but when I went to pick it up, the truck was fixed RIGHT and he didn't charge me an extra cent. In fact, he said he learned a lot. Show me another mechanic who is this fair and who insists on doing the job right,.. Hard to find! Thank you Bob Haney.

Her car was dead. Wouldn't shift into gear. Could be the transmission... wouldn't start, had to be towed. This is an acid test for how good a shop is because here comes the stranger with maybe a bad transmission. And if you're going to gouge somebody, that's the person to gouge, right? So we tow it in at noon on a Friday. It's fixed by 4:00 the same day, and the total charge is two hundred dollars. I am a Yelp Elite from Magnolia, Texas, and I'm a real customer. These guys are honest, efficient and skilled, and worth your patronage.

From there they tried to sell me another service. I was not against the other service that they offered, but i wanted to hear more in detail about it. The bad experience stated here. I asked to speak to the tech about it, and they refused to let me speak to the tech and give me more detail on what i was paying for. and it left a bad taste and my mouth but i took it for a grain of salt and assumed i was over reacting. later in the day after receiving my car back my girl noticed that our seat would no longer adjust and the button for the seat was pushed in. I then called the shop to find solution. they then tried to charge me another 100 diagnostic to check the situation rather then just looking at the seat that was damaged after. I took it to the shop to talk to the owner and he yelled in my face as i remained professional and calm as i had my work gear on and could not make my employer look bad,and i have it all recorded. At parts i asked him why is he yelling when i remained calm. He then digressed and then went back to yelling. Probably the most frustrating experiencing i ever had. It was like talking to a controlling parent. I won't bash the shop because i'm sure they do good work. but working with a company that has integrity is important and this is just not that shop. i also noticed that another customer had a similar experience.

I feel deeply disappointed by how things were handled at North Houston Beemer. I brought in my car…read morefor an airbag wiring harness replacement, and was told I could pick it up on Wednesday after the work was done. But that evening, they suddenly told me I now needed a full airbag replacement, and that it would take two more days to get the part. They said I wouldn't need to pay labor again since the area was already opened, and just asked me to pay $500 more for the airbag. When I told them I needed my car back that day, they said I could pay the full $1694.99 and come back Monday for the airbag replacement. Feeling cornered, I paid and took the car. But here's the thing -- I cleared the fault code myself at home, and the issue was completely gone. They hadn't even installed the airbag yet, and the warning light never came back. At that point, I realized I was nearly upsold for a repair I didn't need. I feel like I was pressured to pay upfront for something that wasn't necessary. This isn't how customers should be treated -- especially when we're trusting you with safety-related repairs. Be very cautious if you go here. Ask questions. Get second opinions. I wish I had.
