first time being in the area, found this gem in southern arlington! when i tell you the ambiance is a stunning lull... i have no other way to describe the peace here. i did show up on a random tuesday at 6pm though so who knows what it's like on a weekend i arrived and there's plenty of seating scattered in a way that isn't cramped, and even has a raised area that is lit vv well. soooo i ordered an iced wedding cake latte with coconut milk! it has a blackberry foam at is absolute fire and accurate asf. I saw the breakfast menu and wanted to order the shelby bagel, but unfortunately they actually stop serving breakfast at 5pm... so not all day BUT dude i ordered the micah sandwich and it was SO GOOD! their menu has many options, so when i hit the roadblock on the bagel, the staff guided me to the other options very well! Truthfully I enjoy the atmosphere of this place more than the menu. I was introduced to this shop by a friend whom I meet biweekly. If you like coffee, this is a great place to visit. A lot of their drinks are strong for me, and I'm not much of a coffee drinker. I like that they provide free ice water, and they have a nice selection of pastries and even a lunch menu (sandwiches, grilled cheese, tacos and more!) for those who are looking to stick around for a while. The atmosphere is beautiful; plenty of seating, comfortable chairs and different types of table, and there's even an area my friend and I like to seat in what looks like a private event table. It's open to the public as long as no one reserves the area, so we always enjoy bringing our writing equipment and books. Personally, I really enjoy their grilled cheese. I've tried their cheese danish and brownie as well. Very delicious but a bit too sweet. Even a fireplace for when you need extra coziness. Every time I've been here I've had to wait in a decent line of 5+ people, but it moves pretty fast. I used to love this place and came 1-2 times a week. They were one of the one good coffee shops with good real food options. Unfortunately they updated their menu and now mostly serve pre-made foods that are so so bad. I've gone 3 times since this change hoping that it was just the one item I ordered that wasn't good anymore but realize now it's everything and sadly won't be back again as a result. Their windows even say "scratch-made kitchen" I wonder if they're going to remove that now. Super bummed :( read more

The inside was set up like typical coffee shop. Some were working inside and having coffee. There's quite a bit of room and lots of seating. They have a variety on the menu as well and so we ordered lunch and coffee. So far i have tried a few different things. The quesadillas are good. The soup is always really good too. Grounds & Gold is probably one of my favorite coffee shops in Arlington. I like how it's close to the hospitals, so a great place to grab a bite in between or after work. There's plenty of seating, but it can still get very packed (especially during the afternoon rush). I like to study here, but it can get loud, so I'd recommend some noise cancelling ear/headphones. Overall great ambiance. I got the chicken quesadilla, which was incredibly delicious. Have also tried their biscuits, which I love that you can customize. I don't have a picture, but they have interesting/different kinds of desserts that I feel like are unique to this coffee shop. I'd love to try them in the future. I am so happy to have discovered this spot and just wish it didn't take me so long! They have tons of seating, beautiful natural light, the best service, a wide menu that accommodates breakfast lunch and dinner at respective times, and delicious drinks and food. This coffee shop is one of my favorite spots in DFW. The ambience is relaxing with plenty of natural light and the decor is done by local artists and typically is for sale. Sometimes it does feel like the tables are quite close if they're full, but when there's no rush it's nice and you can zone in and work or have a great conversation catching up with friends. The gluten free biscuit is amazing and something I look forward to each time. I've also had their lunch special and the soup was terrific. Their bee's knees latte is great, and their loose leaf teas are too. I am always a bit taken aback and how minimal the conversation is with the cashier, they're usually quiet and don't ask "how are you, anything else, etc. " so that's the area of growth I'd say. The staff were already nice and it's clearly a neighborhood favorite with how busy it was on a Friday mid-morning. If you're in a hurry I'd suggest ordering ahead as the line moved fairly slow. I know serving breakfast can create a lot of crumbs but it would have been nice if the place had been swept and wiped down more often. Plenty of seat with a variety of options: tables, comfy chairs, high seating, etc. I sat in the middle area, one thing I will say is the tables are pretty close together. My only thing for docking one star. Even pushing one of the chairs fully back in I had to walk around the table to get to the trash to throw it away. And also it can get loud being right close to others that are seated. Simply an observation. Had an iced sugar free caramel latte & it was pretty good. It was quite busy for a Saturday morning, plenty of seats or tables to go around. Now my review is strictly on the iced latte, I did not have actual food. I ordered a iced caramel latte. Unfortunately, it pretty much tasted like something I could make at home - few pumps of syrup you can get at Home Goods and lots of milk. Was disappointed for the price point, taste, and barely could taste the espresso. Maybe the food is better here...there was a lot of people inside ordering meals. The ambiance and atmosphere is A++ if you're looking to have a coffee date or do some work...this is the place for you. Just from opening the door the ambiance in this place is such a vibe. It's warm, inviting, and the lights are low. I stopped in at lunch and it was a decent amount of people there but it wasn't too loud. They have tons of seating space and a versatile menu. They offer coffee and food so pick your poison. The food was really good and their ranch I believe is made in house. The service is good. The staff is nice but they tend to let you enjoy your visit which is nice. Recently visited G&G for the first time. The interior was beautifully decorated and the food was so good. Really enjoyed their dulce de leche latte, the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla, and their cinnamon bun! My partner had their cheddar and bacon scone which was also really good! The breakfast tacos were good but lacked a little bit of flavor. The salsa on the side made up for it. Overall G&G is a great place to work. They do experience small rushes during the morning so it can get packed but once folks have ordered and eaten, it clears out. The managers/owners are super attentive to everyone. The only negative was that the WiFi cut out in the afternoon so most people who were there working (including me) had to leave to finish out the work day. I needed to get away from my house and stopped by this amazing coffee shop for coffee and cinnamon rolls and this has to be one of the most well rounded cafes I have been to! Internet speed was 150 down. plenty of seating everywhere with all types of cushions and styles. The baristas were all nice and informative. there were spots left over still on a random Thursday. There was a Large vegan cinnamon roll and a GF option and since I had no dietary restrictions, the baristas recommended the vegan one which was crazy good, soft and impressive. Not too sweet for only $4. Their beans are MERIT beans and I got the honey oat milk latte. (not my usual) I do not exactly taste the honey but this was a solid espresso and they used good oat milk. Well worth the $7 before tip. I may need to come back a day with their regular rolls if they have them later on. Or their other kitchen items all sound reasonably priced. read more

Super busy coffee shop but they have so many specialty teas and coffees. They show a real concern for healthier options to get your caffeine fix but I like this. Box sandwiches to go as well as the usual coffee house accompaniments. It's very clean, bathrooms r clean. It's bright and it's loud but there were a ton of people there. This was a Tuesday morning. My husband ordered a cappuccino and it was maybe the size of a tall at Starbucks and was over $3, to me is kinda much. Customer service was great. We werent sure what we were going to order when we got to the register but the employee was patient with us and answered all our questions without getting frustrated. What a gem! This is a warm and inviting spot to get a snack or a meal. The fireplace was lit and it was peaceful even though busy. My breakfast was delicious, savory sausage gravy and a buttery fluffy warm biscuit served by the kindest staff. I also had a latte with house made cinnamon syrup.
