Great, little hidden spot in a sea of soulless corporate coffee chains. I have been a couple times now, and found this one to be far superior in service, price point and overall atmosphere than its viral, gimmicky competitor down the street. One thing that did surprise me was how much I really liked their veggie burrito. I wasn't looking to have sweets for breakfast at the moment, and I honestly expected a standard, oven burrito but it tasted just like someone had made it right then and there! I wasnt able to snap a photo because I devoured it, though the colors of the vegetables and egg reflected fresh, crunchy REAL ingredients. I have no issue paying a little higher prices to support small businesses, and I was pleasantly surprised that I grabbed 6 items (2 drinks, 3 pastries + burrito) and was able tip and still keep it under $40. I got the strawberry matcha and it was delicious. I wish the matcha flavor was a tad stronger though. The establishment is cozy and decorated well with various seating styles based on your liking. The parking lot is fairly small though so I'd recommend carpooling if possible! The service was phenomenal! This is a very cute spot! There's a couple tables and chairs to sit inside and when it's warmer a small outdoor patio. It took about 5 minutes for our drinks which is completely reasonable, but they did only come in one size. We ordered a hot chocolate and a gingerbread chai. The hot chocolate was good, nothing spectacular but would definitely get again. For the chai it was also good, it had a strong gingerbread flavor and they would order it again. They did want it to have more chai flavor, but they do like it spicy. Also temperature wise it was just warm, but the hot chocolate was hot. Had this place on my list for awhile, glad to have a chance to stop by. It's a small space, not a complaint, but just know this probably isn't a place for large groups. There is some outdoor seating which will be nice in cooler weather, parking is limited as there are other businesses in the area. We ordered a sugar free latte, pistachio latte, & some pastries to go. The pastries reminded us a lot like the ones at JL off Cooper. Regardless, they are just as tasty. Both the raspberry croissant & almond croissant are ones we'd recommend. I did feel like the pistachio flavor was strong, more syrupy/artificial than I was expecting. Drink prices were a bit higher than we expected, especially the size... but we do understand that pricing is different everywhere based on different variables. They do have a reward punch card system so that is a plus! Also random, but I do like that they have crushed ice rather than cubed ice, my own personal preference. The staff is extremely nice & welcoming. You can tell that they put a lot of heart & soul into this place. Clean place, cozy vibes. I have been on a matcha kick lately, and I always heard of this cafe and I finally got the chance to try it out. The baristas were so nice and friendly I felt so welcomed. The whole vibe of the place was so homey feeling I loved the inside decor and the layout of everything! Anyways I got the blueberry matcha and it was so good!!! I loved how it came with blueberry cold foam too AND it was reasonably priced!!! Omg and i forgot we ordered the cinnamon coffee cake and the Nutella croissant, they were both delicious and fresh! Thanks to this new Syrian bakery, quiet Dalworthington Gardens where you'd never expect to host an espresso scene, is now home to not one, but two or three solid coffee spots. The moment you walk in, you notice the clean, modern design and soft natural light. It's cozy without being cramped, and while it's not ideal for taking a work call, the roadside patio offers an option when it's cooler. The cortado is balanced. I'd like to try their Turkish coffee and house bottled vanilla latte. They also serve high-end teas that feel intentionally curated. Then there's the pastry case. The baklava is reason enough to make the trip. The raspberry and chocolate croissants are something you'd find in a boutique Parisian café. The vibe is equal parts elevated and welcoming. Their playlist while I was there included "You're Gonna Miss Me When I'm Gone" and "Shallow", familiar and comforting, much like the space. read more

I hesitate to this give this place a review..because I wanted it to be my "best kept secret". But I realized I was being selfish. A timely expansion of the baklava wholesale bakery next door (so don't expect pita bread by the package here). They have croissants, Danishes, muffins, and baklava of various flavors. Nut toppings include choices of pistachio, almond, or cashew. I've enjoyed the pistachio danish as well as the seasonal pumpkin muffin and pumpkin danish. Just as much as the food and beverages, I enjoy the comfortable and perfectly- sized patio. So give this locally owned delightful place a try. (But don't tell your friends and family!) I love their coffee. I don't get any of the flavoring or special coffee's they make, I get a straight latte. Their Turkish coffee is wonderful too, just remember not to stir it ;). My husband really liked their Spiced Apple Cider. It's VERY small inside, so if they're busy, be warned. Parking is minimal, and if you go in the weekday mornings, you'll compete with ACA traffic. Their pastries, I wanted to love so bad because they look amazing. I had a small group event and got a few on a Saturday morning.... maybe the baklava was just sitting out too long? I purchased one of each (cashew, pistachio, and walnut (or whatever nut) and they were all chewy, like, incredibly chewy. There was no crunch to it at all. The chocolate Nutella croissant is gorgeous, but all the filling is basically in the center, so towards the ends, there isnt anything there. (that's a personal preference), the flavor was really good. The pumpkin cream cheese muffin was very meh. No one touched it from the group. I stopped by on a Monday morning and got a cinnamon twist, cheese Danish and a pumpkin Danish. The danish's were pretty good, but the twist was lacking. It was made with pastry dough, and it was nice and flaky, but there wasn't much flavor. I will continue to go for the coffee, most definitely. I'm genuinely disturbed to have to write this review. This was my first time in this shop. The one male barista scratched his crotch while I ordered. When he went to make my drink, I asked him to let one of the other baristas and suggested he wash his hands after he just scratched his crotch. He appeared dumbfounded. Another barista started making my drink while he just stood back, crossed his arms, and leaned against the counter with no intention of washing his hands. I canceled my order and left immediately. It's the freshest and most tasty baklava I've had in Arlington. I've been looking. The long skinny finger looking piece of baklava was alright but the triangle sliced baklava was incredible. I mean the best in town. I got it the day it was baked and my goodness. I also got some bread. The bread is very good. Pretty descent ingredients in the bread. Coffee biz has just been open since Saturday. We had a chai latte and a drip coffee. The chai had great balance. Drop coffee was robust but not overpowering like a Starbucks. Someone kindly brought baklava from this establishment to my place of employment over the holidays. I enjoy a good piece of baklava every once in awhile. I had never seen it with pistachio crumbles on top, so I was instantly intrigued! I'm pretty sure I ate the whole box, when it was supposed to be shared with all my coworkers. Moroccan owned, baklava factory. But their variety of offerings is somewhat limited to fingers (cigars) or triangular baklava only. There's pistachio or walnut for each. No other variety, but the bakery portion of the facility is huge for such a small variety of offerings. I suspect that he does a lot of business in selling to local restaurants. The cafe portion is rarely open - supposedly it's open at nights. During the day, only the bakery factory is open, and anyone can come in and pick up baklava to go. The door for the factory is to the left of the door to the cafe (yes, there's TWO doors for this business). The entire building looks abandoned or closed from the outside, so don't be fooled. Tried the variety pack - and I have to say that I liked the triangular baklava far better than the drier fingers. They also sell pita bread but I didn't get a chance to try it. read more

The bread is the best, so it has to be high in demand...they are probably super busy BAKING BREAD. They deliver to my Whole Foods on Friday morning, and I get them freshly baked and STILL WARM right after the store opens. That's the absolute best way to buy it.
