It's a gem, a treasure hole in the wall place where things come from hard work & lots of love for what they do. It's not going to be some Michelin star bakery that you walk into. It's in an old part of Arlington, the building itself fits right in with the area. That's not a bad thing, but don't expect some clean cut, smooth concreted parking lot with fancy equipment inside. They do well for being in an older part of town. Conchas, we enjoyed them! My favorite was whatever this strawberry roll cake was, soft & fluffy. They have a lot of options, I only wish they would label the pastries. There were some empanadas but we couldn't tell what was what & didn't want to be one of those people that cracked one open, because trust me, someone did on one of the trays. They have a refrigerated section, we'll probably try the flan next time too. The cakes are gorgeous, I can't comment on the taste... no need to get one for just the two of us. Prices are very good, yes, they take cash only. I saw someone said they take Zelle but I didn't look. I'm not mad about it though, it's a small business... they'd get charged for credit card usage. This place was incredible! I kept meaning to stop by and just hadn't, so glad I finally did. Overwhelming amounts of pastry to choose from, also CASH and ZELLE only which I did not know until I got there. They have a refrigerator with tons of milk as well so it's convenient if you need some milk. They do accept Zelle if you don't have cash. Which was very helpful. Staff there were super nice. You get a tray and tongs and go select what you want. The four pastries in the picture were absolutely amazing. I was stunned to hear it was only $5.75 for all four!! Most places are expensive but this place is super reasonable for those looking for a wide selection and good prices. It's a big place so don't be fooled of thinking it's not good. I had gone to Anakaren Bakery for many years when it was previously located on Arkansas Lane near S. Collins. I recently went to the current location on Browning Dr and bought several items. They have a wide selection of cakes, cookies, rolls, etc. They do good business and keep the freshly baked items well stocked and moving along. It was hard for me to choose between the items offered. A friend recommended this "mom & pop" Mexican bakery and man did it deliver! Note that they do not take cash so I had to return after I visited the ATM. I got an assortment of goodies for the office to celebrate Hispanic heritage month and tried the cookies, a flower pastry and conchas. Everything was beautiful, colorful and so delicious! I asked for recommendations in my terrible Spanish and the worker recommended a few things that looked like gingerbread in addition to some of the pastries I had already selected. Pricing is affordable as I bought a big box of ~25 items and it rang up to $27 - I was shocked it didn't cost more! First of all we went to all the Asian bakery shops here via Yelp for we are from Orange County, Ca. Strange many are *closed! We are used to 85 degrees - bakery hot spots in Ca. Anyways it's my bf's birthday and I was determined to get him a yummy cake that's not too sweet because we found that Texans dishes/sweets are 3x more! No wonder many dentists and many people with diabetes here. Anyways, coming from California, we were shocked at how expensive the pan cake is here! A whopping $50 cash! Where I'm from it would cost @$28-$35 tops so we didn't understand why it's super expensive here and there wasn't any information on the cake ingredients too. We were in a rush so we didn't get to try out the other breads or snacks plus I was in total shock of the price tag, I just walked out after paying. With that being said, the cake was beautifully decorated with almonds and strawberries on top. Quite yummy but would be better if it's also an ice cream. If you know what to do at 85 Degree Bakery, you'll be good to go here too. If not, get a tray and cover with a sheet of paper or plastic. Pick your pleasure from an assortment of baked goodies using tongs or plastic wrap--anything but your bare hands. Bring your tray to the counter and have your cash ready because "Solamente efectivo!" They also have refrigerated cakes for last-minute pick-up that are as delectable as they are beautiful. I got the tres leches log with strawberry filling for a group I knew wasn't going to indulge themselves too much. The Magic Candles sold at the counter of Anakaren gave all the kiddos a chance to blow out the candle again and again, giving the cake an extra layer of sheen. There is space at their new location (on Browning between Pioneer and Arkansas) for a few chairs and tables, but I didn't see any on my quick visit. So for now, you'll have to enjoy your goodies at home or (because they're irresistible) in your car. read more

I asked a customer and was told the tray and tong process, to get the pastries. Off I went on my sweet bakery treat journey. The selection of goods is Neverending. I ended purchasing a custard filled donut, it was to greasy for my liking and tasted like the oil was old. I got a cake with icing that was good. I got a cake like pastry with raisin, did not enjoy at all. The bread was light and airy, I only got one. My favorite was a cream filled croissant, it was really really good. Cash only. I went yesterday and pretty much everything was gone. I asked how long would it take to bring out more and they said they didn't know. I just don't think they are consistent with bringing out more sweet bread. For a place that closes until 10pm you would think they would have more variety. They have al shapes, sizes and flavors of tres leche cakes. Also have individual portion sizes. Along with a wide variety of pastries; donuts, pan dulces, cookies, palmiers, cake slices, etc. Nit to mention their fresh baked bread rolls. Only down side to this for any one coming in new is that nothing has a price and when looking through some of the pastries (breads) they are filled with maybe cheese, ham and cheese, etc and nothing is labels. Came for the tres leches cake and didn't disappoint! Can be bought in a slice or whole cake. Love this because each of my family member prefers a different flavor. Their pan Dulce is good too. The smell just from parking the car puts you in a hypnosis and when you get out of it, you are on your way home with more then what you went for. This Panderia is amazing. The prices are reasonable. My favorite bakery in Arlington! I've been going here since I was in elementary school (back when they were still located on Arkansas). They have such an easy system. You come in, grab a tray and tongs and then just pile whatever you want onto your tray. The empanadas have never disappointed! Their tres leche is delicious and they sell it in slices so you don't have to buy an entire cake (but that is also offered if you need it for parties or big groups!!). My favorite pastry is this diamond shaped pastry with pink-looking icing in the middle. Try it!! You won't regret it. Best cakes in the area!! We've been buying cakes here for a couple of months now! Never have I gotten a bad cake! So far the tres leches with nuts and caramel filling has been my favorite! They put extra fruit on top for like 5 dollars more but it's worth it's like a fruit mountain on top of the cake! And there not so sweet it's just right. They only take cash but it's not a problem for me. The rum cakes might be a little strong, but if we want a good party it may be a good thing. read more

I love this Mexican bakery, they have the standard sweet breads to ham and cheese croissants. My favorite are the churros, you have to get up there early because they sell quick.
