Great menu - excellent espresso drinks and smoothies and açaí bowls.

Popped into Grounder Cafe while visiting Tufts. Saw the great Yelp reviews and it sounded like a perfect place for great coffee and a quick delicious breakfast. It did not disappoint! Loved the espresso, latte, iced coffee and their acai bowls. Great service, good pricing and delicious food. 5-stars!

We had an amazing experience at this place, the staff was pleasant and fulfilled all our requests. The omelette was awesome and the kids loved the waffle.

Solid little coffee shop. I within walking distance, so I visit often. Great coffee! To drink I always just get a large black coffee, it is a super reasonable 2.85 with tax. First time I thought there was a mistake with the price, this is Boston after all. I enjoy the food. Is it something to rave about, nope. Is it good and priced fine, yes. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. Need a good coffee and a bite to eat? Go Need to study or get some work done? Perfect spot for that too. Go, caffeinate and enjoy.

No better way to start the day w/delicious pastries, Lattes & a handwritten message that boosts any mood!

Amazing place, w/great people. The chocolate croissant was mouth watering delicious, fluffy, buttery, chocolate really enjoyed every bite. I snagged a half of the coffee cake which was just a tasteful. Everyone enjoyed the other goodies as well. The food the drinks and the staff that know a little effort and kindness go a long way and change anyones day!!!! I recommend stopping by and hope your experience is as good as mine !

I ordered from them off door dash. They wrote cute notes on the sandwich boxes, and they wrapped the pickle so it didn't get the sandwich soggy . Packaging was good and the food was delicious!

Best açaí bowls around. I don't like the pineapple it's not fresh but everything else is really good. I order from here regularly

They offer a decent product but none of the staff wear masks. The person making the food, no gloves. For this reason I wouldn't go again.

I'm…read morenormally a bit suspicious of prix fixe menus, but I was taken with Russell House Tavern's because none of their prix fixe items were on the menu, and they looked delicious. The prix fixe menu was $46 for an appetizer, entree and dessert. I got the French onion soup (with short rib!), duck cassoulet and the profiteroles. The French onion soup was more substantial than a typical French onion soup which is saying something - cheesy, breast and meaty. I probably could have just eaten the French onion soup. The duck cassoulet and profiteroles were solid, and I particularly enjoyed the duck confit. Wonderful service.

The place flirts with a nice classy vibe but there's something, I don't know, cheap about it. Like the Hollywood studio version of a speakeasy - it was only meant to be used for a couple of scenes and now it's been here for years. And this is really no fault of theirs but when you have a bunch of screaming trust funders sloshing their drinks around, it really washes the class right out. This is maybe more a review of Harvard than this place. The food is also pretty generic and unconscionably expensive. It's the $20 burger effect - if a place has a $20 burger on your menu, it has forgotten how food works. It has become a social experiment. One thing I will say is the staff is very attentive and nice - promotes this from a bad place to a meh place - kind of inoffensive. Again - maybe that's kind of a review of Harvard Sq, generally.

Like other reviewers have mentioned before, some of the dishes arrive faster than others, so I think selecting a few dishes to share family-style among the group might be the best. This is also because I got the milk bread monte cristo ($18) which I thought was tasty, but quickly became too greasy to fully enjoy. It was a big portion which could be easily shared among a group. I also tried their zucchini and spring onion latkes ($18) and seasonal donuts ($12), both of which were excellent. The zucchini latkes were super soft but seasoned perfectly and had a nice aroma of charred onions. I highly recommend the seasonal donuts which are fluffy and not too sweet.

The menu is full of tempting options so it was hard to choose. We shared the grilled rosemary focaccia, grilled broccoli, roasted cauliflower cesar, and Thai sausage pierogi (with lime, mint yogurt) All were excellent. The grilled rosemary focaccia with fresh, warm, and fluffy and came with a honey whipped ricotta! The grilled broccoli was served on top of heavenly butternut squash hummus and covered nutty-crunchy goodness. The cauliflower cesar and pierogi were also very good; although, I'd probably try something else next time. It was more than enough food for a party of 2. We could have easily only gotten three options, which might have left room for dessert - although maybe not - they are generous portions. Anwho - All in all - great experience all around.

We had a very good meal there. Among the highlights: A great server, Susan, went wayyy beyond-the-call in making us feel welcome and taking care of us. Questions got answered accurately. Small requests were not forgotten and got fulfilled quickly. Susan was a delight and a joy. Thank you! Fine food. The Sea Hag Risotto was excellent and well-worth trying. I thought the Shrimp Mozambique was interesting and nicely seasoned. The Arancini appetizer is a modern take on the old Italian classic, with a balsamic reduction sauce to dip it in. It worked and was a fun step outside the normal. Butternut Squash Risotto was very mild, but just right for the vegetarian in our group. Our one sadness was that the well-recommended Portuguese Kale Soup was sold out that night. I had hoped to try it. But, the New England Clam Chowder we all substituted had plenty of tender clams and very good clam flavor. In a city where chowder is a big, serious thing, their's was very good. RESERVATIONS: I had endless tech-problems with the badly-maintained RESY website. Apparently, RESY has had a lot of problems in recent times; I am not the only one who experienced them. And, RESY's lack of prompt tech-support was a misery which wasted tons of my time. BUT, happily, The Sea Hag has recently switched to a different reservation online service ... that does not have these problems. Good move! Over all, I recommend The Sea Hag as a cozy seafooder, close to Harvard Square, with very pleasant ambiance, not over-priced given the area, with very good food.

The beet salad was fresh and yummy. Seating was comfortable, lighting was bright and cheery, our large group was accomodated well.
