Lancaster Restaurant Week was serving up a Jibarito, corned beef, fried plantains, melted cooper, pickled onions, and mayoketchup. The sandwich was incredible! Cabalar is massively popular and will always require a decent wait for made to order items. I believe we waited about 25 minutes for this sandwich. Love the green and white throughout the restaurant. I've visited this place twice now and usually I'm not too inspired to write a review, but my visit…read morelast night really showed how much I enjoy the general vibe and especially the food of this place. When you enter this place its at ground level and immediately you recognize you need to take the stairs up. Once you usher yourself up it opens up to two areas where you wait to be seated. The place is an older vintage like gastropub where the front is one bar and some seating, but on the backside is more open seating with where the band and another bar are situated. This place isn't meant to be for large groups, but could possibly accommodate groups of 6. The main bar which also next to the kitchen is an older vintage style bar and whisky's is nothing special but once you sit down and hear the music you settle in nicely. Service has always been courteous and prompt and the menu looks like there are a good assortment of choices. The two times I've been here I've ordered the mussels which includes great sauce and spread with seasoned ground meet. Was so yummy! The second time I came I tried the CHICKEN FRICASSEE. Man was that great! It includes 4 pieces of bread, chicken and the mushroom sauce. So good! Both times I had some of their assortment of single scoop ice-cream which in this area, something about the milk from their amish cows is so creamy. All that said, this is one of my fav places to come enjoy a glass of wine and food. Oh and Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday's they have some instrumental band playing too.

In a recent visit to Lancaster I did some searching online for places to eat and followed the recommendations to the Horse Inn. Sooo happy we did!! The food was amazing. Hats off to the owners and chefs! Only bad thing is we don't live close by and we can't go back soon. But we will be back!! Special mention to our wonderful fun server, Luis, who made the experience even better for us! Give that guy a raise. THANK YOU!!

One of their bartenders won first place at the VeloCity cocktail competition. There's also an ice cream bar on site with its own hours. The arcade has skeeball, an original 1990s X-Men cabinet, House of the Dead, Rampage, and other classic games. Bowling lanes are separate from the arcade area. They also host private events. The staff was attentive, professional, and friendly, and I also enjoyed their creative and fun drink menu This is definitely a place worth checking out. There was quite a crowd at the bar, which I think may have been attributed to happy hour as it seemed to clear out about halfway through our dinner. We had the Irish soda bread and in order of chips for a starter. The soda bread was served with butter and jam. It was pretty good. The chips appeared to be hand, cut, and well fried. They had a very good taste of them. They were served with three sauces, two of which were cream based and were pretty tasty. The third was supposed to be a curry sauce, but it was extremely thin and did not have a great deal of flavor. I have the bangers and mash and my wife had a steak. Both were very good. Service was OK but the bartender who poured my second Guinness could probably take a remedial lesson in how to pour a Guinness as it was definitely not a proper pour. Thankfully Mad Chef was open later than most places so we got in before the kitchen closed. I enjoyed the low lighting with the brewery equipment shining in the background. Having the Phillies game on the tv's only added to our experience. Our drinks and food were excellent. I always like to enjoy a local craft beer, having it paired on site with fabulous eats is even better. I ordered Mr Dynamite Brown, their American brown ale which was fabulous. We ordered a small Pommes Frites (French fries) that were cooked in Canola oil. While light in color, these fries were cooked to perfection. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, salted just right. My wife ordered the pretzel and said it was her type, buttery, salty, and doughy. I ordered the Korean Pork Nachos, by far the best nachos I've ever had the pleasure to devour. I can't begin to describe how well the roasted corn poblano medley brought this plate together. Every bite had an explosion of flavor with the Korean glaze and Gochujang aioli.
