She's very good with cats, very loving, and she was able to calm them whenever they were anxious. She did a beautiful job grooming them, and was extremely knowledgeable about cats in general. You can tell she's a true animal lover. She actually has you in the session with her to assist since she works alone, which I prefer because I can be with my babies the whole time and help keep them calm, plus that way I know they won't feel abandoned or too confused. I went to Sydnee's Pet Grooming for the first time today to get my 54 pound golden retriever bathed…read moreand was quite disappointed in their lack of transparency for pricing. What I expected to be a $80-90 trip ended up turning into ~$150. When you go to Sydnee's booking portal online, a large dog bath is quoted to be starting at $75 for a dog within the range of 51-75 pounds. However, upon completion they charged me $100 for the bath. This would fall into the XL dog range, which did not make sense to me at all. I called the shop back to clarify why there was a such a huge discrepancy in price and they answered that my dog's coat is extra thick so they charge more for labor, which was never mentioned on the website. Also, I will post a picture of my golden for you guys to determine if her coat is "extra thick" or not. I think not. I also got a de-shedding treatment for my pup which was quoted to be $15. However, I was charged an extra $15 because of the "extra time"it took to do the de-shedding treatment. The bath time window they give online is 3 hours. I dropped my dog off at 11:55 and picked her up at 3:20 (they called me at 3:04 for pickup). What extra time is there? We were in the allotted time window for the bath and the lady on the phone even said that they started on my dog late so it should have taken even LESS time. At the end of the day, it's only a bit of a difference in price so I didn't give them a hard time, but I wish I had known about the extra fees that they hide in the bill. Just be wary of coming here because they will try to sneak things in! The work they do is average but the price is roughly DOUBLE. P.S. they had the audacity to show me a tip screen after I paid, which added another ~$15 on top of my bill.

On Wednesday I called at 2:30 out of courtesy and asked if I could bring my dog in for a nail trim in about 45 minutes. On the phone, they said, "Yes, 45 minutes is perfect. I will let the groomer know!" When I arrived, there was no one to greet me so I rang the bell and whoever was grooming the dogs in the back yelled out at me that she knew I was there. She asked if I had an appointment and I told her about my phone conversation. The groomer (without even greeting me in person) yelled again from the back that she would not be able to give my dog a nail trim, she had too much to do, and it would not happen today. I left knowing I would never visit this business again. If someone would treat a customer in that way, how would they be treating the dogs? No thank you.

The location is super convenient and the place looks clean. I was a bit surprised that for just nail trim and gland expression that they had to take him to the back so I couldn't see him get his services done. The front room area, which also served as their daycare area (they had one quiet doodle just hanging out there by him/herself), had what looked like wash bins and grooming tables. Anyway, I think the services were performed well. His nails are nice and trimmed and hoping they did a good job on the gland expression since it's not something you can really tell right away. The groomer seemed sweet and said my pup did a good job. When closing out the tab, I was overcharged. I didn't notice it until I had left and thought to myself that the price seemed rather high so I double checked when I got home and sure enough it was a $10 overcharge. When I called and spoke to Victor, he said that nail trim for medium dogs was $18 and gland expression was $30. On their website and on their brochure at the front desk, gland expression is listed as $20 When I pointed this out, he said that was the old pricing but that he could give me a credit for next time. I requested a refund since at this point I knew I wasn't coming back. Instead of a refund of the overcharge, he' said he'd have to void the original charge and then charge the revised amount which is what I opted for.

My German shepherd was still wet, they said it's because she sat down but shouldn't you able to handle a dog that sits? I had to ask them to deshed her again because her hair was shedding in clumps and loose hair was all over her coat. My border collie didn't get a sanitary trim that was included in her bath, her butt and belly fur was as long as it was when we came in. I also watched loose clumps of fur come out in clumps of the Sammy that was picked up at the same time as my girls and watched those parents complain about the service as well I'll not be back Edit: My German shepherd is 11 years old, it's very common for elderly dogs to have bumps, lumps and cysts. If that was something they couldn't accommodate, that should have been communicated and I would have taken her elsewhere. Regardless of that I shouldn't have had to ask for her to be rebrushed at all. Which only happened once, I don't know where the "twice rebrushing came from" It's also uncommon for a sanitary cut to mean different things based on your dog's gender and that should be communicated prior to booking. Had I known that your sanitary trim only included cleaning up around the butthole, and not belly, butt and leg trims which is normal for any other groomer, I wouldn't have been surprised. Regardless my opinion stays the same, they're not equipped to groom dogs of all breeds and will not groom dogs of all genders the same
