I have been told you are changing the Mahi Mahi Tacos to red drum...it started at the 45 location. I tried the red drum side by side with the Mahi-Mahi tacos. The Mahi-Mahi has a more flavorful taste. I told the server that I preferred the Mahi-Mahi. (because she asked me) The next visit I was informed that they were outta the Mahi-Mahi...so I had to order something else because I don't care for the red drum. Spoke with a couple of managers on that visit (at the 45 store), one ARGUED with me (aka THE CUSTOMER) that the majority of "guests" like the red drum and that "we are not offering the Mahi-Mahi any longer". (even though that's how the dish is listed on the menu...still). Now March 3, the LAST time we visited the Cypresswood location, they no longer have Mahi-Mahi. We USED to frequent your restaurant (every week we ate "taco" Saturday) however with your management staff wanting to ARGUE with me that that's just the way it is and you no longer have a dish YOU STILL LIST ON YOUR MENU IN STORE AND ONLINE, we are forced to take our business elsewhere. I guess your GUESTS opinion doesn't really matter IF your GUEST wants the more expensive fillet of fish! (BTW H-E-B has Mahi-Mahi $9.97 per lb.) That's like a restaurant no longer serving lobster because shrimp or even craw fish is cheaper. Even online you are STILL listing: FISH TACOS Housemade corn tortillas stuffed with grilled Mahi-Mahi with sliced avocado, cabbage slaw, chipotle mayo & queso fresco; served with a side of our fresh cucumber pico In short (because I'm over Gringo's) we will be taking our $40.00 (plus tip) a week business to a restaurant where I actually get treated like a GUEST and can order from the menu WHAT I WANT to eat rather than what you deem "cost effective" for your bottom line. Thank goodness BJ's Brewhouse wants my business by serving up GREAT Mahi-Mahi tacos! read more

The food is great management is great. BUT DO NOT ORDER TO GO FOOD. I have ordered six times from them two times receiving the complete wrong entrée, one time with shrimp (my wife and I are deathly allergic) three other times the food just missing items ordered. I worked in the to go industry for five years it takes no time at all to double check vs. the receipt. The management makes it right but at this point staff needs re training and I will only dine in when covid is done never ordering again. read more

This place is great! Manager Louis and server Hugo make you feel so special! Great service, great atmosphere and very attentive. We will definitely be back and highly recommend! Drinks are on point! Food is amazing! read more

Today we ordered take out from your location at Spring. My husband ordered the ground beef taco salad which he found extremely chewy. It seems the cabbage of different varieties were too raw and hard. Seems it was not prepared with the tender part of the vegetables. For future reference please make sure the salad leaves are chosen carefully. It was not a pleasant experience. read more

This location still has good food but it seems that the service is not up to par with what it was a few years ago. We only seen our waitress 3 times during our meal and she never fill our drinks or asked how everything was. Probably my last time for this location. read more

Gringos has always been a favorite place for us to visit. The food is always amazing!!! However, my sister in lay chose this location for my brothers birthday celebration yesterday. She made a reservation for 5:30 to accommodate all of us. She also called Friday evening to confirm said reservation to make sure everything was in order for Saturday at 5:30. Upon arriving there was nothing prepared for us like it was news to them that we had a reservation. They started scrambling to make room for us which consisted of a table and a booth. The booth they had for the children could not been seen from our table. When another booth opened up we asked the waitress if we could move the children there and she said yes. Upon seating the children there the hostess had brought two gentlemen and lady over to sit at the same table the gentleman got very upset and started using profanity in front of the children and the entire dinner party for my brothers birthday which was very embarrassing. So this was our experience for my brothers birthday dinner. The only thing that was great was the service from our Server Sam. She was awesome. read more

A little wait time so we ending up eating at the bar. Rita's were good and beer was ice cold. Food order a little slow coming out, was surprised since it was middle of the week. First time coming here so will check out a few more places before coming back. Not bad but not awesome either. read more

Gringo's has always been a favorite for a sit down meal. We did take out today and the service was not near what I would have expected. I was able to speak to a manager and he resolved the issues. I would definitely recommend Gringo's for eat in and would consider trying them again for take out. read more

We (family) always enjoy ourselves when we go to Gringo's in Spring, TX. You can't go wrong by ordering whatever is on their menu. Go for it and you'll walk away feeling like we do every time we eat in or do take out. :-) read more

Tried to get a bite to eat at Gringos on a Tue night. Apparently the bar area is reservation only!?! Are you kidding me. Then asked to get a table and were told we could get on the reservation list for that. And was rather rude about it. In a half empty restaurant. So much for visiting Gringo's again anytime soon. read more

Hands down the best in town. You can't beat their Burritos, nachos or tacos!

Love the green sauce! Fast friendly service! I always make it a point to eat here when I visit Spring!

Love gringos always have good food and service. The playground is the cherry on top for parents.

Amazing service for our curbside pick-up! Halle was exceptional and got everything we needed for our order!

Food is okay average nothing special , staff is great , place is too dark, loud. Free ice cream is awesome on the way out.

I have been coming to Gringos (several locations) literally since I was a child and Gringos had Donkey Wings! Gringos is my all time favorite restaurant and I will continue to go here the rest of my life. Even when I lived out of state in the Air Force, coming home I would literally eat at Gringos twice or 3 times every single day I was home. You won't be disappointed. I love the spring location, the servers never disappoint and the managers are just as awesome and welcoming. read more

Gabriella T was amazing. She was attentive and made sure all our food was good. The manager James came over because it was my birthday and took great care of us. Definitely will be back!! read more

I visited this location last night for our first date night since this crazy thing that we are all going through. Ohhh how we missed Gringo's! Tonight was our first time getting Josh as our server. I didn't know that there was soo many different options of flavors for margaritas! My husband got the sour apple and I got the strawberry. Definitely different but it was sooo tasty! Our food was amazing and the service from our server made us feel like it wasn't a pandemic going on right now. He honestly made our night memorable and made up for all the months that we missed just being a adult and enjoying ourselves! The restrooms were clean as well as the rest of the restaurant. Peace of mind. Thank y'all for giving us a great night out and shout out to Josh for being soo great at his passion and not just his job. read more

I was already hesitant to come here due to the name of the establishment alone lol. But it was my last night in Houston so I figured why not. Our waitress was very nice, patient and attentive. We got an appetizer sampler which was good. The nachos were cheesy and delicious. They had a guacamole dip that was ...runny and not chunky it still tasted good but I wish it wasn't so runny (overly mashed and blended). I got the street tacos which came with elote. Now I expected to get a decent corn on the cob Mexican style with all the fixings! What I got was corn with the white cheese and red seasoning on top. That was disappointing. The tacos were alright you had 3 different types to choose from: chicken, steak or pulled pork. I tried the steak and pulled pork they weren't great they were..alright. My partner ended up sending her food back because her food was too salty. Next time I'd rather try a different more authentic Mexican restaurant. It just didn't compare to the great Mexican restaurants we have in NYC! read more

No wait time, slow rainy Thursday noon, we sat at the bar. I gave it a 1-star because the chips & salsa were great as always BUT our food was obviously BURNED and the drinks were so weak we think she forgot to add the alcohol. I really don't know how the cook even let the food out of the kitchen it was so burned...and they served it to us like that, like we would not notice WOW. Bartender made the Caribbean Daze twice and still did not get it right! If the drinks had been good we might could have gotten over the burned food but...awful all the way around! read more

The facility was nice, service was awesome and the food was outstanding. What more could you ask for.

I had an amazing time here yesterday for my brother's birthday! We had Carlos as a server and he was beyond amazing. He catered to everything we ask for in a prompt manner and took initiative to get us what we needed before we even asked. Staff was friendly and greeted us coming in and leaving. Thanks for a great time and great food. read more

Yesterday we ordered curbside from Gringo's. The ordering process was simple, pickup safe and efficient. The server who brought our food to the car was masked, double-checked our order and then stowed it safely in trunk. The food was hot, well-packaged in appropriate containers, and so delicious! A great value! read more

Great service. My wife is sensitive to gluten. She thought the chips and the meal her and I were going to split were gluten free and when our server realized they weren't, she apologized and went into action. The manager came to our table immediately, apologized and offered to make a sampler platter that was GF at no charge and she comped the meal we were going to split. She even offered to follow up the next day to see how my wife felt. Great personal service! read more

We had excellent service and our food was delicious. I had the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. They were quite tasty I especially enjoyed the avacodo inside and great flavors. The lemonade looked nice but was a little tart. The rice was bursting with flavor. But my favorite was the Queso dip. Soooooooo yummy. read more

Always great food and service. Really nice atmosphere. The seafood plates are the best.

If I could give 0 stars I would this place has good food but my god they can not get an order correct. They got my order wrong 3 TIMES!! Even when the dining area was open they managed to still get our order wrong so I can't blame it on the to-go order. read more

Food was great, service was ok. Overall will come again. Ordered the Presidente which is food for 2 people for good price. Really clean, low light atmosphere. The food came out fast hot and yummy ! read more

This is my favorite place for date night in the area. The ambiance is cozy and the set up is nice, although it's a restaurant I've never had issues with noise from other tables distract me from my own party. I believe the dimly lit environment encourages everyone to remain tranquil. The food is always fresh and delicious and I have yet to encounter any "bad" wait staff. I'm not a big drinker but my go to for cocktails is definitely here! The margaritas are superb! read more

We were scared to visit this place in the beginning, because come on man, it's called "Gringos", but after our first meal we were hooked. We always order the chicken. I can't remember the exact name of it, but it has shrimp on it and a cream sauce. My only complaint is that every time we go there are 1,000 kids running around crazy all over the place. Free ice cream though! read more

Food was great - service from Ashley excellent. Nice restaurant - good night . We ate the chimichanga, queso, and fajitas.

Ordered Gringos through Door Dash. When we got the food it was cold. Ordered 3 beef enchiladas plate received 3 cheese enchiladas. Once the food was warmed up in the microwave it was good. read more

We love this place!! Regulars and always will be. Two words: green sauce. Queso: on point. Their salads are wonderful, the dressings are homemade. Fish tacos, enchiladas, fajitas...it's all good. I'm not sure how many times we've been to this location and the others but we've never NEVER had a bad waiter. The kiddy playground at this location is pretty kickass too. read more

Order food during covid-19,, fallowed the door dash app from start to finish. The driver was right on top of things, got my food and it was COLD, I called and the manger LUIS said it was door dashed fault and he couldn't do anything for me.. hell no. The driver was fast, y'all had pre made enchiladas and added sauce and cheese and only let the cheese melt. Food should have never been this cold, queso was not even warm!! And why bagged chips.. not even fresh made... poor food but even poorer manager. Shame on you LUIS 45/Cypresswood read more

Food is good, but the drinks SUCK! Never experienced bitter margaritas before this place...

Unimpressed!!!! This was our 2nd time here, the first time was right after they opened so I decided to try again before I reviewed. The hostesses are extremely rude, when I arrived they immediately said "The wait is over an hour" before I had the chance to say anything, almost as if they were hoping I would just leave. My son wanted to play so we decided to wait. Once we were seated, it took about 10 mins for our waiter to come over and get our drink orders and 10 more minutes for him to deliver the drinks and then he noticed we didn't have chips and blamed it on someone else. We ordered appetizers and about 15 minutes later the waiter came to take our order and noticed we had not gotten our appetizers and blamed that on someone else as well. My son hates beans so I ordered his meal with double rice and when the meal arrived there were beans and rice on the plate, he again took zero responsibility. Our drinks were empty several times during this super long experience and the waiter never came until the end. There was even a time when the manager of the restaurant passed our table and could see we had empty drinks and chips and he just smiled and walked by! The food itself was just ok. I won't be back and don't suggest this location to anyone else!!! read more
