I have been to this restaurant once before, and for whatever reason have overlooked it. But if you want to good pizza, this is not a bad place to go whatsoever. There are a lot of pizza places in Katy and this has to rate well among them. And so far is the ambience is concerned it's a large spacious well appointed restaurant nothing at all spectacular but a very welcoming place. I had a wonderful salad, which was quite well done pizza and an old-fashioned which I had a discussion with our server about as the bourbon was heavily ryed which was a bar pour bourbon and quite good. Let me speak about service for a moment. Our server was wonderful. He was knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. However, Beyond him the servers that were helping him were lackluster and somewhat absent minded. I looked through my receipts so I could tell you his name unfortunately I have misplaced it, but this fellow was quite good and really made our meal. I've tried Grimaldi's a couple times prior at different locations and had came to terms that I wasn't a fan but today's visit changed that! I ordered 2 lunch slices, one traditional with pepperoni and one white pizza with pesto sauce. They were both cooked perfectly, flavored and tasted great! They have a really good marina sauce! Unlike my other experience, this pizza wasn't dry and had flavor in each bite . For $4.75 each slice, it was a nice portion for one. Overall i'd dine again if in the area. Why do we continue to come back? husband ordered to go around 5pm for pick up at 7:15pm. Had to tell the sweet boy taking phone orders 3 freaking times that he wanted pick up at 7:15pm. Gets there at 7:15 and they can't find the order. Say he must have ordered at City Center and not Katy. Katy has a 1.5 hour wait for any to go orders when he gets therez So he goes back home, upset, and decides to call back the number he ordered from - what do you know, it's the Katy location. He gives them his name and phone number, which he did previously and the had no record, and magically it pops up but they say it's been put in for 8pm. What the actual fuck? it wasn't there, but now it is, but for 45 minutes later?!? They tried to cover up their screw up and nothing was offered in compensation for their mistake. at least give him a beer as he makes his way up to your crappy restaurant for a second time when your employ didn't put the order in correctly. Not the fist time we've had issues but definitely one of the more egregious offenses. Who is managing this location where this is acceptable? Who owns this franchise? You should be in your store and fixing this shit. The food isn't good enough to allow this kind of crap to happen over and over again. Find a different t pizza place to order from. Don't waste your time visiting Grimladis in LaCenterra if you want to enjoy the cooler weather. Their window isn't open and it's colder inside than outside at 66 degrees. Find that comical when in the summer they can't seem to get the A/C to work. Go enjoy the other places in Lacenterra that have their windows open letting the customers enjoy the few nights of cooler weather in Houston. Also, the new Italian restaurant will be opening up soon in LaCenterra (old Baker Street) I bet they know how to regulate their temperature. read more

So tonight is the second time I had to pay for drinks and leave with the kids because it was taking way too long! We had a great experience on a Sunday for a late lunch. We ordered a 18 inch pizza- half cheese and half pepperoni and mushroom. The pizza was cooked perfectly and tasted great (thin and crispy). The toppings were a little sparse, but it was still good. Grimaldis salad was fresh and pretty big. It could easily feed 3 adults. My husband and I shared it and we both had 2.5 servings of salad. I'm glad I came here before reading the reviews or we would have missed out on some great pizza. Yesterday me and my friend came last night and we had the worst service ever. ( we didn't even have service ) after we were seated we waited 20 minutes and didn't even get acknowledged once.
