I have been to this restaurant once before, and for whatever reason have overlooked it. But if you want to good pizza, this is not a bad place to go whatsoever. There are a lot of pizza places in Katy and this has to rate well among them. And so far is the ambience is concerned it's a large spacious well appointed restaurant nothing at all spectacular but a very welcoming place. I had a wonderful salad, which was quite well done pizza and an old-fashioned which I had a discussion with our server about as the bourbon was heavily ryed which was a bar pour bourbon and quite good. Let me speak about service for a moment. Our server was wonderful. He was knowledgeable about the menu and the drinks. However, Beyond him the servers that were helping him were lackluster and somewhat absent minded. I looked through my receipts so I could tell you his name unfortunately I have misplaced it, but this fellow was quite good and really made our meal. A great place to have pizza and a good drink. read more

I've tried Grimaldi's a couple times prior at different locations and had came to terms that I wasn't a fan but today's visit changed that! I ordered 2 lunch slices, one traditional with pepperoni and one white pizza with pesto sauce. They were both cooked perfectly, flavored and tasted great! They have a really good marina sauce! Unlike my other experience, this pizza wasn't dry and had flavor in each bite . For $4.75 each slice, it was a nice portion for one. Overall i'd dine again if in the area. They also had great customer service and made me feel welcomed! :) read more

Service was great! Our server was very attentive and everything came out in a timely manner. The pizza crust was delicious! The pizza sauce style may not be everyone's style, but it was delicious nonetheless. FYI they only have thin crust and the "white" means no sauce but cheese instead! Great place for a date night or family gathering. Large portions and price point. read more

Our waiter David was amazing he made our first time great. And even executed a great plan to help our son eat. We asked if they told us right before it came out to let us know so we can take our son out to distract him. To take some toppings off. And he was amazing about it helped us out, even made our son's 4th birthday amazing. read more

Had an awesome time at Grimaldi's in Cinco Ranch for a holiday celebration! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, quick, and super friendly. The food? Absolutely amazing. The pizza was cooked to perfection--crispy crust, fresh toppings, and so much flavor. It's one of those places where everything just hits right: great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Definitely a go-to spot for a delicious meal and a good time. Highly recommend! read more

THIS IS A DEFINITE MUST READ THROUGH/IT CHECK THE END OF THE REVIEW. Our 1st visit without a Birthday Party on 12-14-2024 - 12:24pm, was sadly unacceptable. Not sure about the others in our group, but 2 of us families pizza's were VERY OVERCOOKED. CRUSTY HARD CRUST, HARD COOKED MOZZARELLA, etc. VOWED WE WOULD NOT BE BACK!! Roll forward 5-1/2 months later,.. Had no choice, due to another outing. We were going to have a dessert or something, and go somewhere else on the way home, afterwards. Struggled with menu of appetizers/salads/pizza/desserts bcuz hungry, ended up ordering a pizza. Surprisingly, we were wowed today! crusty overcooked pizza Hair baked into dough, 3 pizzas Ordered 3 pizza's, Caesar Salad, a beer, sodas and waters. All of our pizzas were 18" pizza's, not inexpensive AT ALL,.. Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza and a BBQ Chicken Pizza. Shocked!! Completely different from last/1st visit at this location! All pizzas were amazing! Server was VERY nice, BUT not that attentive. WE'D NEVER SEEN HER AGAIN, after the pizzas/check was delivered. FASTER FORWARD A FEW DAYS Pregnant guest reheats a few slices of pizza for her and her 2 daughters. After consuming a whole LARGE sliced piece of pizza, and half of the next one- ‼HAIR BAKED INTO THE DOUGH‼ Thankfully, the manager was a woman/mother and was completely apologetic and SO VERY SWEET AND SO VERY CARING!! Sadly, we threw out all of the rest of the pizza. Figured it was best, not knowing what else was in that batch. We're obviously left with an unpleasant thought. But, thank goodness for the casting manager! I'll add extra pics,.. read more

We showed up on a Saturday night for my daughter's Birthday- needed a table for 10 and a separate table for 6. We were pleasantly surprised that they were able to get us those two tables immediately! Our waitress Meg was incredibly attentive. We ordered pizzas that came out quickly and ended up needing more due to some hungry hungry teenagers That additional pizza came out quickly as well. Was very happy with our experience last night! Great service and great food. Thank you for making our daughters Birthday a special occasion read more

We love Grimaldi's! It is the BEST New York pizza in the Houton/Katy area. We never stray from the Brooklyn Bridge. It is amazing. We have tried most of the salads and they are wonderful. The tiramisu is pretty great too. read more

Service was the highlight! Friendly and sweet. The pizza itself was a lackluster crust, tomato ketchup tasting sauce & Walmart quality toppings. The quality was of a Little Cesar's pizza, not worth the $30+ that we spent, plus drinks. read more

We had a surprise birthday that grew from 8 to 24 and this location was amazingly accommodating!!! Our family had an amazing time because of the staff! From hostess to waitstaff to management, stellar performance. You already know the pizza is great and they didn't fail us on this trip! read more

Not sure what this dough was but it wasn't Grimaldi's. I can't imagine they gluten free for all the pies today, but this dough was terrible, there was no gluten, not chew- likely management has just given up at this location. No standards. Very disappointing read more

The best pizza I have EVER eaten! Cannot recommend them enough! The freshness is out of this world.

While the food was delicious - the wait time after seated for our food was ridiculous. Told that it would take at least 30 min for the pizza once ordered and it took over an hour. More folks in the kitchen than on the floor- for coal fired pizza - it honestly shouldn't have taken that long. We won't be back. The to go orders were flying out the door so I suspect they were being prioritized over guests in house. read more

Horrible service ordered take out 5 hours earlier and they are very very late. Last time I ever come here. Nobody cares, nobody is trying to get it done and expedite. Im missing the Super Bowl because of GRIMALDIs read more

Way overpriced! Asked for a half and half pizza, accepting that I would be paying the higher priced of the two which would be acceptable, but no, they charged for the higher priced of the two and added the cost every ingredient of the second adding $10 to an already overpriced $32 pizza, paying $42 for a pizza it's outrageous! read more

Really disappointed, I ordered a large cheese pizza and it was more like a tomato pizza. Taste nothing but tomato sauce, I don't think there was any cheese on it, I went home and put my own mozzarella cheese on it. The service was very good, but for the price I expected better quality read more

Why do we continue to come back? husband ordered to go around 5pm for pick up at 7:15pm. Had to tell the sweet boy taking phone orders 3 freaking times that he wanted pick up at 7:15pm. Gets there at 7:15 and they can't find the order. Say he must have ordered at City Center and not Katy. Katy has a 1.5 hour wait for any to go orders when he gets therez So he goes back home, upset, and decides to call back the number he ordered from - what do you know, it's the Katy location. He gives them his name and phone number, which he did previously and the had no record, and magically it pops up but they say it's been put in for 8pm. What the actual fuck? it wasn't there, but now it is, but for 45 minutes later?!? They tried to cover up their screw up and nothing was offered in compensation for their mistake. at least give him a beer as he makes his way up to your crappy restaurant for a second time when your employ didn't put the order in correctly. Not the fist time we've had issues but definitely one of the more egregious offenses. Who is managing this location where this is acceptable? Who owns this franchise? You should be in your store and fixing this shit. The food isn't good enough to allow this kind of crap to happen over and over again. Find a different t pizza place to order from. It's constantly not ready on time and they dont own their mistakes and think it's fine. There's better to go. read more

We had a great experience on a Sunday for a late lunch. We ordered a 18 inch pizza- half cheese and half pepperoni and mushroom. The pizza was cooked perfectly and tasted great (thin and crispy). The toppings were a little sparse, but it was still good. Grimaldis salad was fresh and pretty big. It could easily feed 3 adults. My husband and I shared it and we both had 2.5 servings of salad. I'm glad I came here before reading the reviews or we would have missed out on some great pizza. I don't know if I would come here during a peak dining time since it isn't huge and I don't like waiting. read more

Don't waste your time visiting Grimladis in LaCenterra if you want to enjoy the cooler weather. Their window isn't open and it's colder inside than outside at 66 degrees. Find that comical when in the summer they can't seem to get the A/C to work. Go enjoy the other places in Lacenterra that have their windows open letting the customers enjoy the few nights of cooler weather in Houston. Also, the new Italian restaurant will be opening up soon in LaCenterra (old Baker Street) I bet they know how to regulate their temperature. read more

The servers are wonderful! The hosts need training and the kitchen...good lord! Servers are great and truly feel for them because of what's going on there. They're truly gettin screwed out of tips! Tonight is the second time I have been there and had to leave after waiting over an hour for our pizza after placing our order. 45 minutes after placing our order I asked what's the status and told it hasn't even been started! So tonight is the second time I had to pay for drinks and leave with the kids because it was taking way too long! I was told both times that there were too many to go orders causing ours to be delayed! Sounds like processes need some revision. We will not be back to this location. Furthermore tonight I walked in asking what's the wait for a table of 3. Was told 30min but we might have something outside available, hangon. Walks back and says theres a table but wait 5 or so minutes for them to put the table together. Another couple walks in right behind us and asks how long for a table of 4? And THE SAME HOSTESS seats them immediately! What?! It's the same! read more

Did someone say free birthday pizza?!?! Grimaldi's did! Signed up for their rewards program earlier this year and they sent me a reminder free birthday pizza reminder email. It is a coal-fired brick oven pizza but it was a little too coal-fired for me but we still enjoyed it. read more

Yesterday me and my friend came last night and we had the worst service ever. ( we didn't even have service ) after we were seated we waited 20 minutes and didn't even get acknowledged once. No one asked if we were served or if we needed anything. We were passed by to east 3 waiters. We ended up leaving pretty upset and the hostess had the nerve to say have a great night even though she would glance over and see we didn't get any help. read more

This was the most disgusting undercooked pizza I've ever received in my life. It was almost $50. The toppings were piled up in the center, they were piles of sauce on different parts of the pizza, and What was supposed to be my extra cheese was I guess around the edges. It ended up in the trash, don't fall for it. The bottom had a yummy puke gray color. Looks like someone threw up on it. read more

I ordered and showed up a little early as I want my pizza right out the oven hot. I do not want to have it sit in a warming rack. No reason a pizza should take 30 minutes (thin crust no topping. Just cheese). No problem, I showed up early. It comes out after waiting and I knew the second he handed it to me it was cold. No reason at all). I gave this place a chance again after a hair 5 years ago in my pizza ran me off. I'll be like Dave P and grade it. 3.5! What a shame to have that oven and produce this garbage at elevated price. Do yourself a favor and just get Star pizza or brothers. The only reason I gave this place a shot again is brothers is too far away and Star was closed. read more

The waitress was great but the pizza was not. The crust was very thin & brittle for our liking. The Mediterranean salad was too oniony. We love Grimaldi's in Highland Village & Southlake areas but not sure why the Katy location is not on par. Otherwise, nice location. read more

Paid $70 for 2 medium pizzas, including a tip. Those pizzas were not even remotely worth that much money. It was a to go order. Maybe that's the problem. The pizzas were ready at least 30 minutes earlier than the website said. I wasn't notified they were ready early but I happened to go in early to check and found the pizzas waiting in a warming oven. By the time I got home, the pizzas were barely warm, limp, soggy and all the toppings just slid off. Not worth the high price tag. read more

My pizza was so good. It might have took a little while but it was perfectly. It gave me NY vibes eating it.

Service was on point and the food was amazing Quattro Cheese Pizza was baked to perfection. And I really love the fact that it's on coal oven top. From 2:30-4 they switch their coal for new coal to go in and just have to wait for that duration of time to get pizza but also between that timeframe you would get their starters. The ambience of the place is really nice and very chill. To be with family and friends. Highly recommend . read more

We ordered several pizzas and they were really good. They could have been a little hotter. The wait time to get a seat was slow. But in all honesty I try to stay away from franchises but this one is very decent. read more
