Was here a few hours ago for the first time and the food was not bad at all for the price. Also liked the dining area which was clean and comfortable. BUT! We got our food and realized that there was no ketchup on the table. So I decided to get up and ask for some. Which was not a problem at all. The young lady at the counter asked me which table I was seated in and that she would bring it right over. So I had no problem with that. For the first 4 minutes!! Once about 7 minutes had passed my gf decided to go ask the other young lady at the counter and she gladly asked if we wanted packets or a bottle and just handed her the packets. GREAT I said. Then I finally start to eat and my food was starting to get cold. I didn't complain as I didn't want to complicate things. But I did enjoy my food but also hated the fact that this young lady didn't even come apologize for forgetting to bring us our ketchup. She didn't even have a clue that the other girl had gave it to us. So she completely forgot!! I would understand if the place was crowded and a ton of things were going on at once but there was only one more table with about 4 people. Experiences like this make you forget about the good food at many places. People eat out to enjoy a good meal and good service. I think I'll give this place one more shot due to the above average food. read more

Grillers used to be a pretty decent restaurant, but lately it has gone downhill. On my last couple of orders (cajun chicken wrap and a chicken caesar salad), the chicken was as tough and dry as jerky. Prior to that, I found that when ordering a sandwich, the pickle that used to come standard with the meal is now .50 cents extra for a single spear. The pasta is also nothing to get excited about, as the sauces seems extremely watery and unflavorful. I think it'll be a while before I order from Grillers again. read more

Grillers is a hidden gem in Whiting that I loved! Although the restaurant is small with limited seating, the menu is large with many items to choose from, including multiple pasta options. They are also reasonably priced and conveniently located on 119th street. I am looking forward to my next visit! read more

Our go to place when we don't feel like cooking. I love all their wraps and my kids as picky as they are always say yes to Grillers. I've yet to try something I don't like. Their soups are delicious as well. My usual order is the blackened chicken wrap. read more

Great food, really bad service!!!!! If you get an order to go make sure you check your order before you walk out the door. I can promise you that your order will be wrong. If you have a delivery plan at least an hour delay. If you eat in plan on them coming around and asking you what you ordered despite the number they give you to put on the table. First time there, was referred to this place by may daughter who raved about it. The food was good, a nice change from the fried food in our area. Good selection on the menu. THE DOWN SIDE: The young cashier Katie needs an attitude adjustment. Asked simple questions and she responded with a roll of her eyes like I was wasting her time. I suggest you give her a talk about responsibility and first impressions. Because of her I may not go back and will definately tell others about her attitude. I have being going there since they opened but the last few times have been very disappointing. First, of all my favorite was the asada wrap great wrap for the price and size and it seems that price went up and wrap got smaller. Before it would take 2 people to finish one. And the meat tasted as it was reheated not cooked fresh. I was one of those people who raved about this place but seems that it has been going downwards. It's a shame. read more

Well I have eaten here before and good things never last forever. Their food is cold, their help is obnoxious, and their prices are through the roof. Listen I know you're in a downtown spot...but it's not downtown Chicago. Let's be serious. The manager or owner needs to step off his high horse and come down to reality and start servicing his clientele with good tasting well priced food or Grillers will need to go back to a backyard somewhere and start using there Weber all over again. read more

Dont go here! Terrible service. Their advertising says they are open til 9pm....me and my husband walked into the restaurant at 8:15pm and were told "they are closed". Asked why. Were told they just "decided" to close early. Will NEVER go back here. Risiculous. And they were Extremely rude about it. read more

The food is excellent with large portions! Its worth the money. The only complaint i have is the customer service. The girls at the register seem to think talking to each other and playing on their phones is more important than having a conversation with the customers. read more

My colleague and I work down the street from Grillers and decided to give it a try. The first time we were very satisfied but unfortunately the following two times were a nightmare. The second time we ordered carry out and weren't told that a few items that we ordered were not available until we arrived for pick-up. Also, the food was already cold and stale, even though we arrived ten minutes before the food should've been ready. When we arrived to our workplace we were missing a few items from our order. We decided to let it go...everyone has "off" days, right??? The third time, we ordered online after the lunch rush hour. The time online said thirty minutes. We waited one hour and ten minutes. When the driver arrived he had the wrong order and also charged my cowerkers credit card three times the correct amount. When we called to complain the manager took this as a very minimal issue and quickly dismissed it. Later in the afternoon my coworker began feeling nauseous and sick. When she took out her dessert leftovers she notices a dark green smudge on her cheesecake and discovered it was MOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yup the desserts were spoiled. We went over to complain and recieved our money back. The staff was very rude and did not care that my coworker came down with food poisoning. Our doctor had to prescribe her medication to help with the fever, vomitting and diarrhea. The place would be five stars if it weren't for the service and the lack of attention to the expiration dates on their food. read more
