We were visiting the area and needed to grab a bite before heading to an event in the area. Located in a neat downtown area, we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was very busy during our visit; with plenty of people eating there and numerous orders being picked up. We are there and found it to be clean and comfortable. They offer a huge menu with pastas, wraps, wings and more. Not looking for a real heavy meal, we ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap (with tots) and a Grilled chicken pita fajita with home cooked chips. I enjoyed the flavorful and saucy wrap. My dining partner enjoyed her chicken on a pita. I snuck a couple chips but thought they were pretty unremarkable. Came into Grillers after visiting the Mascot Hall of Fame to grab some grub. My husband got the BBQ bacon cheddar burger since he insists in burgers everywhere, but I can't judge as I went for the club sandwich which is usual for me. I am interested in going to try more from their expansive menu because their pasta looks delicious. I devoured my sandwich and I will admit I loved the addition of avocado, which is not usual for a classic club sandwich. Their fries were pretty good as well, but I have had better. Last week me and my family stopped by a favorite of ours Grillers, after me and my son got haircuts at wonderful The Mustache Lounge. We ate in the dining room and I will say man Grillers knows how to make a good bacon cheeseburger! For me any cheeseburger with jalapeños will always have my heart and soul and the sweet potato fries I got were perfectly salty and sweet, a great side to a good ole cheeseburger. We were on our way to Ann Arbor from downtown Chicago and decided to stop in here for some quick lunch. The place is small and was packed when we showed up at 1245. You place your order and pay at the front before finding a table to sit at. My dad and I both ordered the blackened Cajun chicken wrap with tater tots. My mom ordered the carne asada wrap with French fries. We all loved our food. The meats were juicy and flavorful. The vegetables in both wraps were fresh and crisp. The avocado in the carne asada wrap was especially good. The tater tots were really good with a crunchy outer shell. The French fries were not that good. They are your basic French fries, frozen not fresh. Overall this place was extremely good and had reasonable prices. Went on Saturday with the family and I ordered blacken chicken wrap with veggies. When it arrived to the table I was the only that told the server my order was wrong it had tatter tots instead of veggies. She took the plate back to the cook and she told him it was wrong. The chef head visible from the table argued with her that it was right. So he sent her back with the same plate with no changes. The server asked me again if I was sure that if was not right. At the point I made a mistake by just not taking that plate as it was. She then took it back again to the cook where he started huff and puffing while giving me the ugliest looks and who knows what he did to my food but I can't prove it since you can't really see due to the countertop height. I then got the plate the way I ordered it with the veggies. But, it is now Monday and I have been sick since. Be warned folks. The server was apologetic at the very least. read more
