We were treated to a meal here by some friends which already put some good juju on this visit. We had the Bangkok shrimp as an appetizer and the breaded shrimp were crispy and tasty. We also ordered the steak & Gorgonzola pasta and the honey almond chicken pasta. Both of which were rich in flavor. The food was delicious and the portions were satisfying. The waiter was attentive and friendly. We sat in the bar area but the entire restaurant flowed nicely and had a warm and welcoming vibe. Overall we would recommend. read more

I've been here many times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with our family. My parents like it, and the fact that they continue to return should signal that it's not terribly awful. Basically, you won't be greatly disappointed if your expectations aren't too high. Grille 26 offers a nice atmosphere with both a restaurant area and bar area. We usually sit in the bar, and there is a nice selection of beers on tap and wines. The menu is diverse, but there's nothing I've had here that I've really been amazed by that I would rush back for. The service is generally pretty good, but the food is very average and there's definitely some things I've ordered that I would categorize as 'bad'. Come for a drink during happy hour for the vibe and the atmosphere, but not for the food. read more

I've got to admit: coming to Sioux Falls, I did not have high expectations for "Grill 26." I had imagined an upscale Applebee's (at best). Wow, was I pleasantly surprised. When my pinot noir was actually served in a Pinot Noir glass, I was beyond impressed. That's worth a single star right there. Hell, we don't get that in most parts of Cali (unless you're in a high-end wine bar or five-star establishment with a wine sommelier). Then, the menu at Grill 26 had a wide variety of creative culinary selections which left me pondering the menu for quite some time. I opted for the (fairly) local (definitely "regional") Walleye. I am very glad I did ... perfectly prepared and still moist and delicious with some delightful fingerlings and carrots on the side. Nothing to blow your socks off, but rock solid, quality food, for sure. My only criticism was that it was slightly under-seasoned. An easy enough fix. Plus, the service (at the bar) was exceptional. I'd come back to Grill 26 in a minute (and still might before my trip ends). read more

Upscale yet not pretentious, a sweet menu with affordable options, awesome drink specials that aren't watered down... My co-worker was turned on to this place by the person next to her on the plane so when in Sioux Falls for work we went here - I was glad. While we were here they had a New Orleans theme going on and the Jack Daniels Iced Tea was almost as good as the food! You might say am I crazy but I had mac and cheese and it is my favorite food on earth...and theirs was awesome! Great mac and cheese, booze, nice and contemporary interior - you almost forget you are in Sioux Falls.... I like it read more

Just went for the first time. Very slow service. I ordered the Blackened Salmon Salad and it was awful. There may have been like a teaspoon of some type of balsamic vinegar on it. I ate part of the salmon but soon discovered the rest of it was completely raw. A disgusting pink mush. Gross! I sent it back and they actually charged me the full price of $16. This was a one-and-done dining experience for me. Huge disappointment! read more

Grill 26 is a great casual dining experience. The food was prepared great and looked amazing! Problem was some of the food didn't taste the greatest. Just be weary, and ask the hostess what she would recommend before becoming adventurous. The bar, however, has an excellent selection of craft beers on tap as well as a good variety of liquors and spirits. It's clean, it's well decorated, and the bartenders are top notch. All in all my dining experience was satisfactory. Next time I might spend the $20 on taco bell, knowing I'll at least enjoy the food I'm ordering. read more

Brick oven salmon, 5 stars, wait staff 5 stars, bill was lower than expected. I'll be back, great place. Just came to this place again to pick up a college kid. Had the Italian pizza, wow... flavorful. read more

Started off my meal with the roasted apple spinach salad. this was topped with chicken, bacon, dried cherries, & gorgonzola. I was intrigued by the roasted apple part of the salad, i've never had roasted apples in a salad before. the sweetness brought out by roasting the apples reminded me a little bit of having dessert in my salad, not to say this is a bad thing in this case. unfortunately, my entree was not so good. i ordered the chicken rigatoni that was tossed in this naked pesto sauce. it was flavorless. i felt so bad because the waiter was so nice and seeing that I barely put a dent in my salad was definitely a sign to him that I was not happy with my choice. oh well ;( read more

Wow! Right now that have a special menu that features Mardi Gras and I had the Shrimp and Grits. As a person who has lived on the Gulf Coast and been Nawlins too many times, I can tell you too 3 all time! Get here before it's too late! The Guinness Cake is the real deal too! read more

Exquisite food! My girlfriend and I celebrated Valentines Day here and everything we ordered was delicious. Salads were fresh, meat was cooked perfectly, shrimp was juicy; it was a five-star meal to say the least. Wait staff was very helpful and very quick. I've been here before with family and friends,it was OK, nothing phenomenal. My wife and I stopped in about 5:00 one evening for an early supper and got the rudest server we've ever encountered. When we declined drinks and asked for water, his attitude soured, after serving our dinners, salmon and a burger, he was tremendously put out when I asked for mustard and we never saw him again. Eventually, we had to stop at the front as we were leaving to get our check. On a 1-5 scale, food-3 service-0. (so poor, I considered not tipping, but gave him 20% just on principle). read more

It was our first night out after moving to Sioux Falls. My MIL was along and she's kinda a "careful" eater so we couldn't go too crazy. This place was awesome. We took along our 14 month old as well - they were receptive to her and made sure her order came out quickly so she could start eating. 1. Service- very very good. They refilled drinks before they ran out - for everyone and multiple times. It wasn't very busy but this is still one of my measuring sticks. Also, empty plates were quickly removed and everyone was courteous and helpful. 2. Food - Excellent. We all had the tomato basil soup which was creamy and delicious. I had the BEST meatloaf I've ever had. I typically will let the server order my meal and bring me anything - I had read that this was good meatloaf, but I was really pleased. It was more savory like a salisbury steak and the mashed potatoes were delicious. It also came with a small piece of bread which was buttery and salty - very tasty. My veggie was carrots which were crunchy and nicely prepared. My husband had Lemon Luau Teriyaki and quite enjoyed it. MIL had the Champagne Chicken and ate nearly the entire thing - also with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. High praise. (I did sneak a piece of my daughter's corn dogs - not too bad either and they had plenty of healthy side options for kids including fruit, cottage cheese, applesauce and salad). 3. Ambiance was very nice. The restaurant is next to a (nicer) strip mall and large park - to be honest it doesn't look that big from the road. But the inside is expansive, nicely decorated and nice lighting. There was tons of seating including a lounge and a bar area. The rest of the tables weren't crammed together and we had our dining area almost to ourselves on a Monday night (which is nice with a toddler). 4. Price - I thought these prices were pretty good. Most entrees were in the $12-$20 dollar range which is what I consider "Olive Garden Pricing" - not too bad. And the quality of food was worth it - put together with the service this was a steal. Overall I was really happy with this restaurant. Moving from a bigger city (Milwaukee, WI) to a smaller one, I was worried I would miss my nearly weekly eating out - but this was a great start. read more

Family and I came here for Mother's Day brunch. Brunch was a three-course meal, which included assorted salads, an entree, and various desserts in a nice buffet-style set up. Everything-- and I'm not kidding-- EVERYTHING we had tasted good. We all got different dishes, which worked well for sampling purposes. Of course I was already stuffed by the time the entree arrived, because I'd loaded up on the delicious apple-spinach salad (what the **** do they put in that honey balsamic vinaigrette!? It's amazing), but that sure didn't stop me from trying some of everything. Fluffy eggs. Juicy, succulent turkey. Fresh, crisp veggies. Perfectly-cooked steak kabobs. Gooey, rich delicious stuffed French toast. And at the end, a smorgasbord of caramel, raspberry, orange and chocolate-infused desserts. Hours later, we were still shaking our heads about how good it was. Great food, great service, definitely worth making a trip out to Sioux Falls. read more

We loved this place initially. We had finally found a restaurant we loved in Sioux Falls. Until just after Thanksgiving last year, we took our family to our new fav and we all (All but the one who didn't go) ended up with food poisoning or the stomach flu. So we narrowed it down to here because it's the only place 1 person didn't go, and she was the only one who didn't get sick. Now I just can't think of this place without thinking of that. We loved the seasonal options and the regular items are really good. It'll take some time for us to return, but I would like to. read more

Based on the very good reviews I went here while in Sioux Falls on business. I had the walleye, it had a fishy and chemical taste, one of the worst pieces of fish I have had in awhile. Service was good, I may give this place a another chance but would stick to sandwich or burger. I agree the pricing would be fair if the food was better than what I experienced. read more

Enjoyed my lunch there today. They are having some kind of New Orleans menu theme for the month. The jambalaya was the perfect size for me to eat. It was spicy and flavorful with small bit sized pieces of crawfish and shrimp. The two sauces separated by the jambalaya were also a nice touch. It came with a house salad that was also fresh and yummy. I am impressed that a place is Sioux Falls could make some good jambalaya. The staff is also pleasant, helpful and friendly. the place was crowded for lunch and I can see why. Will definitely take clients here. read more

We always do Sunday brunch here.. excellent service, price and selection. We wanted pizza last night, and realized there is not really a decent sitdown pizza place in town with reasonable prices and a good atmosphere.. we looked at the menu online for Grille 26 and thought "why not" when we saw the artisan pizza menu. At $11 each the pizzas were just a bit too big for single serving, and wow were they great!!!!! We finished with the waiter's suggested bourbon apple crumble (it is a cross between a crumble and a white cake) with vanilla bean ice cream. One of the best desserts in town to share!! read more

The Bomb! Like good food? Wait staff that know their stuff? Absolutely in the top 5 for Sioux Falls, maybe top 3.

I've been to Grille 26 a few times and seem to enjoy it every time. The menu seems creative and assorted enough for anyone to get what they want. I typically have pasta but the Italian Pizza was delicious. A thinner crust that doesn't distract from the sauce and meat toppings. This has become likely my go to. read more

Holy Cow!!! I'm in South Dakota for an 8 week Nursing assignment, got so tired of fast food. Grill 26 was recommended by the manager at my apartment complex. I had the salmon which was seasoned and cooked to perfection! It was served on a bed of grilled risotto with a side of braised spinach and tomatoes with a wonderful texture and flavor. My taste buds were truly celebrating! I topped it off with a cream brûlée.....YUM!! I highly recommend this fine restaurant. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful and relaxing. I absolutely love Grill 26! I have been a frequent customer and over the years this is consistently on my top three in Sioux Falls. The food is amazing. Everything from the starters to main courses you will not be disappointed. I suggest reservations as it can be busy. The atmosphere is fantastic and the wait staff are very friendly. The menu changes seasonally which is great with a world class chef. The fall menu is one of my favorites. Be sure to check out this fantastic dining establishment! read more

Our meals were absolutely delicious. Everything was spot on from the service to the dessert. And the company wasn't half bad .

Rated Great neighborhood chops, consistent and well prepared. Black and Bleu Pasta A,?Flatbreads B, Chop-Chop salad A, most Pasta dishes B-well prepared. Come early for happy hour or the AARP crowd will tie up the bar area and you will not get happy hour in the restaurant seats. Drinks A, Food B, Service B, very formulated success here, someone works very hard at keeping things consistent. In short a very good neighborhood restaurant. read more

On one visit we had a splendid meal. Everything was wonderful. The ravioli were some of the best I've ever had. Service is fantastic. Our last visit was not so good. Ordered the "featured" beef pierogis as my entree. I had high expectations, based on prior meals. Wow was I wrong. The taste of pepper was overwhelming, followed by the bitter taste of some unknown herb. Too much Basil? The pasta was tough and chewy. I couldn't taste the beef due to the overpowering sauce over the pierogis. We alerted the waiter and he said he would alert the chef and take the two orders off our bill. (Note: I ate two pierogis out of 6. The second plate remained untouched as our daughter wouldn't eat them after tasting mine.) The waiter didn't offer to bring out something else to replace pierogis. We ended up ordering some Mac N Cheese for our daughter (which was fantastic). I ended up not eating. When our bill arrived, the two pierogi dishes were still on it, as was the Mac N Cheese dish. We paid the bill, but decided we would avoid this restaurant from now on. The inconsistency of the food and the attitude of the chef (I guess he figured we didn't know good food?) ensures we won't be visiting anytime soon. read more
