2014 tumblr became a bar in Sioux Falls. Navy blue, taxidermy, marble, and gold accents. The ambiance is clear here: the Classic Hipster. Aside from the aesthetic, my party genuinely enjoyed their bevs. The Hot Buttered Rum was incredible (I ordered two). The espresso martini was real and not one bit milky. One of my favorite cocktail bar in town. The service is incredible and the mixologists are skilled. I came in and ordered a drink not on my menu (Pornstar Martini) it was missing the shot of Prosecco on the side but they tried their best and that's what I appreciate. It was still good! While in Sioux Falls visiting a friend, we decided to stop in here to get a beer. We ran into friends of hers who were sitting on the patio, so we joined them. What started with two ended up being nearly a dozen people enjoying drinks and bar food while having a great time on the patio/sidewalk. The service was very efficient, competent, and professional. They did not hesitate, even with such a large and growing party. I loved it. The only feedback I have is that there is only one bathroom. If you need it, and you will because it is a bar, you will likely have to wait in a line and hold it. Adding a second bathroom would be a great service. read more

Carpenter is located in the heart of downtown Sioux Falls. It offers good cocktails and a nice patio seating area during the summer. I visited with a friend and we were satisfied with the drinks. They are priced fairly and not taxed, which was surprising. Reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because service left a lot to desire. I was ignored for 15 minutes, the bartenders and servers saw me but never even greeted me or asked if I needed anything or to be seated. We stopped in for a quick drink on our way to another establishment and we were very impressed with their very unique decor and cozy feel ( Some may even call it small ). We asked about an appetizer menu and a dinner menu for a possible dinner the following night but regrettably they serve no food. This bar is the former lobby of the Carpenter hotel next door. The Bartenders ( sorry, I refuse to call them Mixologists ) were very helpful on giving recommendations on drinks and some local attractions. The Carpenter bar is well worth stopping in for a drink or two but get there early because it fills up quickly. read more

The servers here are very rude! I was with my daughter who was underage and wasn't ordering any drinks, yet they cussed us out and made us leave because they simply "thought" she was drinking. We walked in and although there were a few seats at the bar, they told us they did not have room for six. Super pretentious and apparently did not want to have six very well paying customers.
