Sitting on A Saturday afternoon, ordered food and its a 45 minute wait and we have still not got our food. We are the only people here.

I love Chloe! She is so kind and helpful! The atmosphere is fair but Chloe makes it incredibly inviting!!!!

For like the 5th time they can't cook a damn piece of chicken! You can't even play music without them turning it down. What is that? They play the funkiest white boy emo rock radio hit songs full blast and turn down music we purchased at the juke box. What is that? Do better what is this mediocre place? Denied access to the bride at her own Bachelorette party. Wednesday August 17th myself as well as ELEVEN customers stopped at this bar during our sip n cycle which was booked for my bachelorette party. I spent the evening drinking and enjoying my time with family and friends from out of town before my wedding that Friday. This time is so valued not only because it was the week of my wedding but because my Husband is active duty military and we're only able to come home once or twice a year. Everything was wonderful until we came to Tommy Jacks. We we're at Tommy Jackson back in January for the burger battle and was served without question. Unfortunately I was denied drinks at my Bachelorette party. I'm 22 years old and will be 23 in a month. My ID is a Florida ID when I got my license I was 20 so it was still vertical I asked the women at the GOVERNMENT office if I would need a new one once I turn 21 she informed me that it's NOT necessary since the license is valid until 2028. When we got to the bar and he checked my ID he said it wasn't vailed and could easily be a fake. It was also made very clear this bar tender was from Florida so he should know the laws. I then said "do I need my military ID to prove to you that it's really me?" The bar tender then asked if I had it with me I told him I left it at home because all I brought was a small purse with my phone one debit card and my license which was consider valid there in January i only mentioned the second ID out of sarcasm because I've never had this issue. My family and friends left the bar with me to go back to our sip N cycle where my ID was valid. As we were leaving their were customers saying "Seriously she's the bride" we even had people climbing the fence telling us to come back inside and that they would buy me my drinks since they wouldn't serve me. My friends and family screamed at them from the road telling them no as we drove away. I'm extremely disappointed by this but it didn't ruin our night we went on to have fun at places that know what a real drivers licenses looks like. Although moving forward when my husband and I come to visit our in laws we will not be coming here. I would also like to add that my ID was used at a Florida liquor store the week before we left where the scanned it and they didn't bat an eye. read more

I go here often and spend too much money. People are usually friendly but you get the occasional dousche. I called a Lyft last night around 1:30. The guys closing down the bad was super aggressive. It was 1:45 when he grabbed my arm and lower back and pushed me out the door. I could understand if I was acting confrontational but I was literally standing there waiting for my ride. There was no need for him to put his hands on me. I'm disgusted with this place. read more

I'm sure this place is great if you are a regular. I'm not a fan. It is definately a divey bar. Additionally, the regulars are very particular about their music and where you sit. I had a friend that played a song in the juke box and about four regulars surounded him and told him to "stop playing that crap" and made other suggestions. Unfortunate, because the regulars were not buying music, instead they were harassing others who were. With a little TLC and rebranding, this could be an awesome bar in DTSF. read more

Nice place for a drink and a burger. They have a large patio for warmer weather, too. We enjoyed our food but it took 45 minutes for a hamburger. So if you have an hour lunch, you'll be late. read more

So this is where the town is!!! Packed wall to wall on a Tuesday night. I ordered a PBR, and she brought me 2. I said no I only wanted one, the tender replied that's how they ring up. I said; I have to buy two?!! She said no, it's buy one get one free. Which apparently is on most their drinks!!! The crowd was quite diverse ranging in age, and sects. The tavern was a good size with the bar wrapping around the majority of it. A pool table, jukebox, and TV supplied a bit of entertainment. But it seemed the real reason people came here was to drink, and do it very cheaply I might add! This seemed to be an "in between bar" as most people were coming and going to other venues, or looking to meet up with friends. Almost like a "home base" people seemed to meet here, leave, then come back to see who else had stopped in. This is definitely my kind of bar, and if I lived here this would be my spot. read more

This is by far my most favorite bar in Sioux Falls. It is generally a nice and chill atmosphere, and my only reason for the four stars is because of them recently doing away with twofers and if you go between business hours M-F be prepared to feed the meters. I tend to stick with what I know, and will split a beer drinkers pizza with friends, you can never go wrong with pizza! Today I was flying solo and got the grilled chicken with tots, and that was super tasty as well. I have never had bad service or a bad experience at Tjacks! read more

A bacon cheese burger done right! Crispy Bacon, lots of cheese and cooked medium. Very lean and juicy. I had Tots that we great as well, crispy on the outside and not over done. The staff was super friendly but chill. Full bar, the drinks were generous! I'd be a regular if I lived 1500 miles closer! read more

Actually surprisingly good! The patio is nice. There are a lot of smokers that gravitate to it but it's nice and big so usually you can find some space. The food menu is small but everything is really good! I highly recommend the cheese balls...they're the best I have ever had. Also the BLT is great, and the tater tots. Good casual atmosphere and great prices. read more

Four locals said it couldn't be done. I walked out of my hotel room in Sioux Falls at 23:45. I was told by the ex-cop van driver, by the woman at the front desk, and by the hotel bartender, that there was nowhere to get a bite to eat and a beer at this hour on a Thursday. "Nope, all the bars stop serving food at 23:00", they said. Well, here I sit in Tommy Jacks Pub at 00:15 with a beer while I wait on my pizza. Listening to a little Beastie Boys playing on the sound system. The barkeep, Pat, was friendly and knowledgeable. He even turned me onto a new vodka drink. The fair prices, the staff, the atmosphere, and clientele will bring me back. read more

My absolute favorite bar in Sioux Falls. I really only go here and two other places though, as I'm not much of a meat market type of guy, and this place is perfect for people who go to bars to drink and meet interesting people. The crowd here is varied, alternative, and eclectic. Weekdays are usually pretty slow and chill, but this place blows up on the weekends. Cheap drinks, pretty decent jukebox, and hands down the BEST bar staff in Sioux Falls make T jax a must visit for seasoned bar goers. read more
